I’m 27 and ngayon mas malinaw sakin ang concept of investing

I realize how investing plays such a big role in my life and how it became a habit since then

I am thrift and saver for most times. I like to be simple with many things

If it will not add value to me, most likely the answer is no

I also heavily dislike expensive pricing that does not match with the quality of service or product.

However, when it comes to food, experiences and what will make my parents happy - I lavish

These are the things that bring me joy ❤️

I invest on events that will expand my mind and my expertise

I invest on relationships that will lead me closer to my dream

I invest my time and attention to the people that matter and to the people that pushes me to grow

I invest on good food, good clothing so that I will feel good

And when I feel good, it’s so much easier to help.

I invest on instances where I can transfer these ‘good feelings’ so that I can inspire someone to dream again

I invest in my spiritual life

I invest in keeping my values in tact

I am 27 and now I see that investments aren’t just business or stocks or any other financial instruments

Investments are avenues for growth

When my money is invested into these thing, I am happy.

I keep my investing strategy simple:

Anything that gives joy,
Anything that is of good service, and
Anything that advances God’s kingdom -
is a worthy investment 💯

Got at home last night at mid 1am.

Every time I am reminded of why I do what I do I get teary eyed

As if I was called to do a great yet socially humbling work

I am called a financial advisor but that’s just a title

It is clear to me that my real job is to cut poverty

So I start with breadwinners

Knowing full well all the sacrifices and hardships a breadwinner is willing to do to provide for the family

I help my company protect the life of breadwinners

We all applaud Carlos Yulo, 24 y/o, for being the first Filipino to bag 2 gold medals in artistic gymnastics at the Paris Olympics this August 4, 2024 🇵🇭

He brings so much pride for all Pinoys. Representing how artistic, talented, and strong Pinoys are in the aspect of sports

This morning, I’m fascinated to know more about this golden boy

One of his interviews with Smart Inc shows how he started and how he prepared himself for this Olympics

He started early training at 6.
At 12, he dreamt to bag awards for the Philippines in the world of gymnastics

As a young boy, he trained so hard to win the game

In 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he fell short of his opponents. From his interview, it was one of his downfall as he felt so resentful and angry that he couldn’t take the results himself

He wanted it so bad, and he had fears of losing the game. With which he happened to lose

As he says, ‘He lost to himself’

Following the downfall, he realized that he lacked enough mental strength. He allowed himself to say all of his fears and work on his improvements as to overcome this temporary defeat

Then in 2024, voila! the magic happened! Our golden boy has brought so much pride for the country 👏

These past days I’ve been reflecting to the word ‘refining’. It always comes around my worship playlist or in my bible reading

When I watched Carlos Yulo’s interview, its as if he went through the ‘refining’ moment before he bagged the victory

He learned so much more of himself when he lost to Tokyo Olympics in 2020

This temporary defeat allowed him to work on himself even further which became the foundation that built the Carlos Yulo that represented Philippines in the Paris Olympics 2024 🤸

That defeat became a refinining moment.

Today, my prayer goes to everyone who might have been experiencing a temporary defeat in life. I pray that you may see this as a refining moment and a source of growth

It may not be in the same Olympics as Carlos Yulo had but may it be in the same footing of genuine intentions

to develop our character and sense of self and find ourselves worthy on our own unique calling
