10 lessons from "The Little Book of Big Change" by Amy Johnson:
1. Bad habits are not a sign of weakness. They are simply a result of your brain's wiring.
2. You can change your habits. It takes time and effort, but it is possible.
3. The key to changing your habits is to understand the science behind them. Once you understand how your brain works, you can start to change your habits from the inside out.
4. One of the most important things you can do is to identify your triggers. These are the things that cause you to act on your bad habits.
5. Once you know your triggers, you can start to avoid them. This will make it harder for you to act on your bad habits.
6. You also need to find new ways to cope with your triggers. This could involve finding healthier habits to replace your bad ones, or finding ways to manage stress and anxiety.
7. It is important to be patient and persistent. Changing your habits takes time and effort. Don't give up if you don't see results immediately.
8. Find a support system. Having people who support you on your journey to change can make a big difference.
9. Celebrate your successes. When you make progress, take some time to celebrate your successes. This will help you stay motivated and on track.
10. Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're struggling, don't be afraid to ask for help from a therapist or counselor.
I hope these lessons help you on your journey to changing your habits.

10 LESSONS FROM "MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING" BY VIKTOR FRANKL
Introduction
Surprisingly, this book was written some 77years ago (1946) by Viktor Frankl chronicling his experiences as a prisoner in N**i concentration camps during World War II.
The major theme of his book is buried in the truth that Human life, under any circumstances, never ceases to have a meaning,
He shared that;
1. Everything can be taken away from us except the ability to choose our attitude in any given set of circumstances.
2. If a book has one passage, one idea with the power to change a person’s life, that alone justifies reading and re-reading it and finding room for it on one’s shelves.
3. He believes that live is a quest for meaning and saw three possible sources for meaning: in doing something significant, in loving someone and courage in times of difficulty.
4. That it did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us.
5. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual.
6. Whoever is still alive had reason for hope. Read it again.
7. No one has the right to do wrong, not even if wrong has been done to them.
8. Striving to find a meaning in one’s life is the primary motivational force in man.
Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life to carry out a concrete assignment which demands fulfillment.
9. “Live as if you were living already for the second time and as if you had acted the first time as wrongly as you are about to act now!”
10. As logotherapy teaches, there are three main avenues on which one arrives at meaning in life.
The first is by creating a work or by doing a deed.
The second is by experiencing something or encountering someone; in other words, meaning can be found not only in work but also in love and the
third avenue to meaning in life: even the helpless victim of a hopeless situation, facing a fate he cannot change, may rise above himself, may grow beyond himself, and by so doing change himself. He may turn a personal tragedy into a triumph.
Bonus:
11.In some way, suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning.
Ten Lessons from Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga's book The Courage to Be Disliked: The Japanese Phenomenon That Shows You How to Change Your Life and Achieve Real Happiness:
1. Don't be afraid to be disliked. Most people are afraid of being disliked, but this is a fear that is holding you back from living your life to the fullest. If you want to be happy, you need to be willing to take risks and to be yourself, even if it means that some people will not like you.
2. Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone is different, and it is pointless to compare yourself to others. Focus on your own journey and on becoming the best version of yourself.
3. Don't worry about what other people think. What other people think of you is none of your business. It is important to focus on your own thoughts and feelings and to not let the opinions of others dictate your life.
4. Take responsibility for your own happiness. No one else is responsible for your happiness. It is up to you to create the life that you want and to find the things that make you happy.
5. Don't dwell on the past. The past is gone and cannot be changed. It is important to focus on the present moment and to make the most of it.
6. Don't worry about the future. The future is uncertain, but it is important to have hope and to believe in yourself.
7. Be true to yourself. The most important thing is to be true to yourself and to live your life in a way that is authentic to you.
8. Don't be afraid to change. Change is a part of life, and it is important to be open to change and to be willing to grow.
9. Be kind to yourself. It is important to be kind to yourself and to forgive yourself for your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, and it is important to learn from them and to move on.
10. Live in the present moment. The present moment is all we have, so it is important to live in it and to make the most of it.
I hope these lessons help you to achieve real happiness in your life.

Aside from setting the classroom rules and expectations, introducing oneself, or how-was-your-vacation-sharing for the first day/week of the SY, how about introducing the concept of aspirations on the first day/week of classes?
1. Start by explaining to your learners that you're about to embark into the world of aspirations (those dreams and goals that light up our lives).
2. In simple terms, define aspirations as the things they want to achieve or become in the future and explain that aspirations provide purpose and direction, motivating us to work hard and aim high.
3. Give relatable examples that they can connect with. Highlight the diversity of aspirations and how they shape our lives.
4. Discuss why aspirations matter. Emphasize that these give them a sense of direction and encourage personal growth. Aspirations guide decision-making and help us overcome challenges with determination.
5. Invite them to think about their own aspirations:
- What's your biggest dream?
- What's something you're truly passionate about?
- Where do you see yourself in the future?
6. Engage them with the "Aspiration Cloud" activity. Make them draw or write down what makes their heart race and their spirit soar (and roar) - a cloud filled with their dreams, goals, and passions.
7. If comfortable, allow them to share their aspiration clouds with the class.
Remind them that while their clouds are exciting, achieving them takes effort and determination. And highlight that the journey is just as important as the destination.
By introducing the concept of aspirations on the first day, you'll be setting the stage for a year filled with growth, inspiration, motivation, (and learning). Let's empower our learners to dream big and work hard to turn those dreams into reality!
Also, let's inspire aspirations!
