In these times of social distancing this dusty old gravel road has been a lifesaver! We love walking down this road, it’s something that we look forward to every day. Today we had birds chirping while they collected grasses and sticks for their new nests, and snakes sunning themselves in the grass. So much peaceful quietness and most importantly at this time, so much seclusion and isolation from other people.

When I first heard that a lot the world was going to be self isolating and when the Company that I work for told us to work from home, April felt like it was forever away. Yet while we isolated and worried about our elderly family members, and whether we were going to have enough toilet paper, the days slowly crept by. And suddenly it is April, bringing sunshine (for today anyway) and all the rest of the beauty that Spring in Southern Ontario has to offer.

And just like that, I feel more uplifted and alive. 💛

We hope you’re all laying low and staying well. Right now is a really scary time, there’s so much uncertainty around what the future holds. One thing that is certain, is that if we all work together by participating in social distancing we can help slow the spread of Coronavirus. Together we can help to prevent our healthcare system from being overwhelmed. Together we can help save some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

While there may be many things that divide us, today, to me at least, it seems like we have a lot more that connects us.

At some point in the coming weeks you’re bound to feel helpless. Reach out to your seniors, your neighbours, your friends and your family, make sure that that they’re ok. Remember that you’re not alone, we are all in this together.

When we support each other incredible things are possible.

The next generation looks to us for guidance. May they learn from us that they are capable of whatever goal/ dream they put their minds to. May we give them the courage to follow that path in their hearts and the confidence to know that failures are not the end, just lessons learned along the way. May they learn from us that being your best self is learning to be all of the many sides of yourself simultaneously without having to give up any of the pieces. May they know their worth and demand nothing less.

As a Maker nothing beats the feeling you get when your product is loved. Thanks so much to , not only for her shout out on her new toque, but also for the constant support 💕

This toque is from the new pattern that we’ve been working on, customized for Mel and her love of all things ❤️!! The fold-over brim makes it super warm AND the Pom is detachable, which means it always looks full and luxurious, even after a trip through the washer!

Isn’t the first day back at work after vacation the worst?!?

I can’t really complain though, a nice quiet vacation topped off with a wonderful weekend. A lunch date with one of my Bestest Girls at Earth to Table Bread Bar in Hamilton (I totally recommend the Buddah Bowl, you won’t be disappointed) followed by a mani and then a trip to the Mill Store to round out the weekend.

Whether your freshly back to work after the Christmas break or have been at it the whole time, I hope your day was fantastic!
