Hey Folks:

I wrote a post here yesterday, but I don't see it, so knowing me I probably messed up, so, erring on the side of caution, I'll repeat myself and say that the "Meet/Greet" at Barnes and Noble scheduled for 10/28 in Poughkeepsie does end at 4:00 as I had originally thought.

Hope to see you there,

C.

Hey Folks:

I just want to let you know that I'll be at Barnes and Noble on Sat. 10/28 starting at 2:00 for a meet/greet where I will be signing copies of my novel, "The House Where Dirt Grew". I'm not sure what time the event ends, but when I find out, I'll let you know. Anyway, I hope to see you there.

Hey Folks:

Looks like the novel is selling well for a "first-timer" and is now available online at Walmart and Target. It is still also available online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Thrift Books, and Austin Macauley and Oblong Books. At present I am working on setting up a possible meet/greet at the Barnes and Noble in Poughkeepsie.

Thanks again for all you support,

C.

Greetings All:

This morning a couple of coworkers asked me a few questions regarding my novel, "The House Where Dirt Grew", and my motivation/inspiration to write it. After answering their queries, I decided that I would post my responses to their inquiries here on Facebook in case you too had the same questions as well.

Firstly, "The House Where Dirt Grew" actually does exist. Well, kind of. My grandparents lived in a n old, poorly maintained house that was located right off a four line highway and was just a stone's throw away from the NYS Thruway. The "dirt" generated by these busy roadways, combined with the condition of the house itself (and the endless difficulty keeping this house "clean") led me to nick-naming it :The House Where Dirt Grew, hence part of my inspiration for the novel.

Secondly, originally it was a short story, that I entered into a writing contest in 1991 (it lost).

Thirdly, it took me about a year to take that original short story, and adapt it into the novel.

Fouth(ly?) I am disappointed with the editing.

And lastly, I have never published anything before.

I hope that this may have answered any of your questions, and once again, that you for all of your support.

Craig
