My new book Love Me Till Wednesday comes out on Monday 🎉🥳 Thank you to Anne at for organising a blog tour for me to coincide with publication day. And thanks to all the bloggers for agreeing to take part 👏
Do you ever get that feeling you’re being watched? 😹
Happy National Authors’ Day to my fellow authors. I’ve made some lovely friends since I started writing seriously. Thank you to each and every one of you for encouraging me and inspiring me. If you’d told me to a couple of years ago that I’d have won an award and be about to publish my fourth book, I’d never have believed you.
Bargain alert! Amazon have picked Be More Octopus to be one of their Kindle monthly deals on Amazon.co.uk, which means for the whole of November you can grab a copy for just 99p. Happy Halloween! Here’s my old furry writing assistant who used to do an excellent job of posing with pumpkins. Miss you Muffin. 🎃
I had a lovely day at Socially Shared Meet The Author Book Sale With Tearoom. Thanks for sharing these photos s Celia. Can’t wait to read your new book ♥️📖♥️
Comet A3 tonight over Chesterton Windmill. I felt sorry for the couple who arrived for a romantic celebration of their 6th anniversary and weren’t expecting to see 40 people with cameras up there. I’ve got to use that in one of my rom coms at some point. 🤔♥️📖♥️
I’m in Kenilworth today at the Meet the Author event with lots of other West Midlands authors. We’re here till 3pm. Come and say hi. It’s free ♥️📖♥️
What are you up to this Saturday? I’ll be signing and selling my books at the Meet The Author event in Kenilworth. It was great fun last year and I’m sure it be just as good if not better this year. Doors open at St Francis of Assisi Church Hall at 11am on Sat 19th October.
Southam Book Festival is in full swing. Thanks to everyone who came along to my talk earlier. And a big thank you to from who’s here promoting ’s books for the photo of me speaking - much appreciated. It was lovely to meet Sîan in person at last as we’ve talked online many times as part of .knight.pr author group. ♥️📖♥️
It’s tomorrow! (Assuming you’re reading this on Saturday 12th). Come and see me and lots of other authors as we exhibit our books. Some of us are giving talks too - I’m on at 12:30 pm. Entry is free and the WI are selling tea and cakes (cash only for them).
It’s tomorrow! (Sunday 13th October) come along and say hi. I’ll be selling and signing books as well as giving my talk “You’re never too old to write a book” if you missed it on Tuesday at the library. The festival starts at 11am and my talk is scheduled for 12.30pm. See you there. (I’ve been told there is tea and cake too!)
Thank you to everyone at Southam Library for making me so welcome this evening. And to all the lovely people who came to hear me talk. If you missed it, I’ll be doing it again on Sunday at the Southam Book Festival. 📖♥️ .
It’s this evening! Looking forward to talking about my books at Southam Library at 7.30. 📚
Not long to go now. Hopefully see you later at Southam Library 😀
Would you like to know how I wrote my first book in my 50s? What it feels like to win an award for your debut novel? And where I get my inspiration from? Come along to Southam Library at 7.30pm next Tuesday (8th October 2024) to learn the answers and more.
It’s feeling autumnal here in the UK, and my daughter is off to uni again tomorrow, so we’re having one last Hugo Spritz to celebrate a super summer. What’s your favourite celebratory tipple?
Apologies for being quiet this week. I had some time off to go to beautiful Venice, which features briefly in Be Less Panda. We didn’t go on a gondola ride under the Bridge of Sighs, unlike two of the characters in the book, but we did visit it as part of the Doge’s Palace. The first pic is the view through the grill on the bridge and the second one is what it looks like from the outside. For something associated with love, it has a pretty grim history 😔
It’s 🎉 📖 I like to do my bit when it comes to reading so here’s my physical TBR pile (and these are only the ones that have made it as far as my bedside table). I’m not counting how many ebooks are waiting to be read on the Kindle on the top of the pile. 🥴How many books are on your TBR pile?
Showing off time! Be More Octopus is up for another award. This time it’s a finalist in the Page Turner Awards 2024 Book Awards 🎉🥳🍾 I’ll find out whether it’s won or not in November. So thrilled to make it to the finalist list. There are a lot of books on there but there are a lot of categories too. (I entered it in the debut novel category.)
