President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., in the City of San Fernando on July 3, Monday.

Marcos has inspected the ongoing construction of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Project in the city.

The multi-story building, named Crystal Peak Estates, is part of the government’s efforts to eradicate the country’s 6.5 million housing backlog.

The settlement site is situated in a 9.8-hectare land.

The project is composed of 27 buildings with around 8,000 housing units that can accommodate more than 10,000 Filipino families.

In 2012, the tricycle terminal located at Sindalan, City of San Fernando was closed down.

Kap. Angel Wijangco facilitated the bank loan for Calulut-Bulaon-Mexico Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association to purchase a property and build their own terminal.

He also volunteered to be the guanrantor of the CBM T.O.D.A to complete the bank loan as the association does not have the sufficient documents.

Kap. Angel Wijangco went beyond his duty as a Barangay Captain not only for the welfare of the tricycle drivers and operator, but also for the welfare of whole community.

Aside from funding the barangay’s primary programs for education, health care, poverty alleviation, and peace and order, Kap. Angel "Puti" Wijangco, together with his team in Barangay Calulut, also saw the importance of youth empowerment through sports and enriching the cultural values of the Fernandino through social events.

These aim to bring smiles to all ka-barangays and, at the same time, preserve the traditions started by our senior members which are to be passed on to the younger generations.

🔵 He spearheaded the sports programs and activities which are specially aimed for the youth. For the past eight (8) years, team uniforms were provided for free to encourage the youth to join these events.

🔵 Bgy. Calulut’s yearly fiesta was also graced by known local artists like Rivermaya, The Dawn, Aegis, Gloc 9, Ex Battalion and others. These artists were invited to celebrate this once a year festivity.

🔵 A first in Bgy. Calulut, the barangay has also joined, and has successfully won awards at the renowned Giant Lantern Festival held yearly in the City of San Fernando.

His prudent approach in the barangay's finances helped save money to make way for youth development programs, and both cultural and social events.

All these were made possible throughout his 3-term service as the Barangay Captain of Bgy. Calulut.
