Slash recently spoke with Guitar Interactive about his guitar skills. The guitarist admitted that he isn’t a superb guitarist by saying: “When it comes to making a record, material inspires me more than anything else.” I’m not a fantastic guitarist to stand alone and blow people’s minds with a guitar solo and say, ‘Look at all the tricks I can do.’ “I have to be aiming for something or have a reason for going solo.”
