At Allianz, we are pioneering the integration of generative AI (GenAI) to support the transformation of the insurance industry. During a recent internal dialog session, we had the pleasure of hosting Accenture’s CEO Julie Sweet alongside our Board Members Sirma Boshnakova and Barbara Karuth-Zelle, to discuss the transformative impact of GenAI business and society.

Germany Scholarship x Allianz Campus Unterföhring. 🤩 Last week, for the second time, our exclusive BBQ event for the scholarship holders of the Germany Scholarship and the China Scholarship Council took place at our campus in Unterföhring.

Klaus Berge, CFO of Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG, opened the event with a warm welcome and Denise Schindler, a cyclist with four Paralympic medals and three world championship titles, captivated the audience with her keynote under the motto "Move Now." Alexander Hahn, Christopher Schwarz, and Hantao Luo (CFA) then held an exciting panel discussion & provided our participants with insights into the strategic direction of Allianz.

Our delicious BBQ buffet, which provided ample opportunity for networking and personal conversations, rounded off the evening. The event once again demonstrated how enriching the exchange with our scholarship holders is and how important such events are for nurturing young talent.

Allianz recently received the Interbrand Jubilee Commendation Award, as one of only a few brands, for exceptional performance in recent years.

Allianz is among the longest standing brands in the annual Interbrand Best Global Brands Ranking as well as one of the fastest growing brands over the past years. Since 2017 our brand value has doubled to 20.85 billion USD in 2023 and we climbed from rank 80 in 2007 to rank 31 in 2023.

Allianz recently committed to clean our oceans and coasts, assist biodiversity conservation and support sustainable fishing practices by partnering with international marine conservation organization “Sea Shepherd Global“. The partnership covers Italian coastal areas in the Mediterranean Sea. Four Allianz companies, AZ SE, AZ Technology, AZ Services and AZ Italy provided the funding for the ship "Sea Eagle" and its crew.

As part of the partnership, Allianz sponsored the ship “Sea Eagle” over a two week period to clear the Italian Mediterranean of illegal fishing nets. Many of our colleagues joined the crew and got stuck in with maintaining and undocking the ship, as well as disengaging and removing hundreds of the illegal fishing traps.

Heavy rain and flooding have caused major damage in parts of southern Germany over the past few days.

To support the people affected, Allianz is now donating one million euros to the local fire departments, rescue organizations, and technical aid services. We are also matching employee and representative donations to the Bavarian Red Cross up to a total of 500,000 euros.

Beyond that, extended special damage units and our Allianz agencies are providing support on site.

At Allianz Technology, we believe in empowering future generations. Continuing our commitment to social responsibility, our colleagues at Allianz Technology Thailand recently organized an art workshop for the children at SOS Children's Village, a non-profit organization that provides a loving home environment for children who have lost parental care.

This workshop aimed to nurture children's creativity and provide a platform for self-expression. Our Allianz Technology Thailand volunteers thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the children and witnessing their artistic talents blossom.

This art workshop is just one way Allianz Technology Thailand is partnering with SOS Children's Village to invest in the future. We're excited to continue collaborating and creating opportunities that contribute to the well-rounded development of the children and help them reach their full potential. 💪

Another great evening of training at our Munich Unterföhring office 😎

Recently, it was that time again: Around 30 students took part in our relaxed training evening at the Allianz campus in Unterföhring, where they were able to get an idea of us as a training company.

Our colleagues at Vocational Training Munich spared no effort in putting together a diverse program, featuring a warm welcome followed by a guided tour of the campus by Ingo Schulz and Christian Ingrisch. Gordana Zejak from corporate environmental management was also on hand to report on our holistic measures in the topic of sustainability. The evening was then rounded off with goodie bags for each participant.

1 in 10 children are separated from their families, abandoned, or neglected. The effects often last a lifetime, creating a cycle that repeats from one generation to the next.

SOS Children’s Village Thailand’s commitment can be summed up in 5 words: 'No child grows up alone' 👪 This non-profit organization provides the proverbial 'village' to orphans, ensuring they grow up with the parental care they need.

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, twenty colleagues from the Bangkok office visited the SOS village in Samutprakarn and conducted the 'English learning and play camp' for the children. This marked the first step for Allianz Technology Thailand’s goal of building a learning community in the Children’s Village. The outreach will be followed by a long-term partnership where employees can share their knowledge and skills to broaden the children’s future opportunities.

The Allianz Group’s purpose, 'We secure your future,' is an empowering statement that motivates Allianz Technology Thailand to make a positive contribution to society. With the future of children secured, the future is secured.

From a small idea in Estonia to a global movement, over 14.9 million people came together in 2022 to clean up our planet.

For the past three years, Allianz Group has been actively participating in World Cleanup Day. More than 40 Allianz OEs around the world have joined hands, organizing events, encouraging volunteering, and making a real difference for our environment.

Together with the International Olympic Committee, we asked 5,000 young people and 2,000 parents in 10 countries about how playing sports impacts kids’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The report shows that despite understanding the positive impacts of sports, the declining rate of youth sports participation can partially be attributed to global issues like cost-of-living (37%), climate change (30%), and on-going Covid-19 impact (34%).
