The Deathtrip

We wish to inform you that Aldrahn is no longer a part of this passage to the otherworld. He continues to bellow out his cosmic heart in Urarv, which we urge you to seek out. With his departure, Kvohst (vocals) returned to his roots in Black Metal and to The Deathtrip, which he initially helped establish in the beginning together with Host. Paths diverge and stars align, but our focus on this sacrosanct vessel of channeling remains, as always, meticulous and magical. Our pilgrimage is never forwards or backwards but only ever always inwards. We are confident that you will delight in the unearthly glow of our Demon Solar Totem and cannot wait to share in it with you.

"Host: I had some rough demo recordings and I was in touch with the band . Kvohst (who was in back then) got to hear a few tracks and was originally going to do vocals. He was in Dødheimsgard at the time too and then played the songs to Aldrahn who understood fully what it was about and was looking for something to get his teeth into again, and so that’s how it began."

Featuring the long-due return of Kvohst (Ex-Dødheimsgard/Code) on lyrics/vocals joining the cold, hypnotic riffs of Host (Thine), the primal drumming of Storm (Ex-My Dying Bride, Blasphemer) and introducing the bass playing of Thomas Eriksen (Mork), The Deathtrip offer tickets to primeval possession and open portals to other dimensions. Demon Solar Totem captures the spirit of ancient Darkthrone, Thorns and Beherit imbued with old-English occultism and the chanting of sacred sound formulas.
