Happy Happy Halloween!!! 🎃 Remember to be safe when celebrating. Read EVERY label (even those on your safe list), if you’re not sure-DON’T eat it, and ALWAYS carry 2 epinephrine auto injectors. Have fun!!!

Wowsers!!! Another Bill created to protect kids with food allergies is in California!!! Now is the time to create change, and The Zacky Bill is ready to do just that! Check out the post below to see how you can help 💛
Attention all California and the Food Allergy Community!
AB 2640 - The Zacky Bill:
HEALTH: FOOD ALLERGIES:
CALIFORNIA FOOD ALLERGY RESOURCE GUIDE
We need your support this week.!!
Ask the CA Assembly to support the Zacky Bill. AB 2640 would require the Department of Education to create the California Food Allergy Resource Guide for use by school districts and parents to help protect students with food allergies.
The guide will provide practical information, planning steps, and strategies for reducing allergic reactions to food within schools and early education centers.
Call your legislators and tell them that you support AB2640- The Zacky Bill and you hope they do too. Also ADD YOUR NAME to this form and your written support will be sent to your state Legislators:

It has been a tough year for most of us. That’s why it is so important to try our very best to focus on our blessings, the things we still do have. Life, family, and memories of the time we got to spend with those who are no longer with us. So, here’s a few things to remember as we go confidently into 2022…
💛 Start each day with a grateful heart and a positive mindset
💛 It’s ok if you’re not feeling ok, just promise yourself that you are healing and will be back to conquering each day soon
💛 Be kind, you never know what battles other people are fighting
💛 Be brave enough to advocate for yourself and others because they deserve it… and so do you
💛 Always help others when you can, but don’t let them take advantage of your kindness… Everything has limits
💛 Celebrate each other’s victories, even when you feel defeated… Your time will come
💛 Don’t feel guilty if you are one of the lucky ones who had a good year
💛 Embrace the changes still to come… How else are we going to ???
Have a happy, healthy, and blessed new year! Love, Neesie Bear 🧸💛

“I’m thankful for, like Carol said, us being here right now. You never know, the fires over there could have been us. And all the families and homes that were lost due to the fire, and all the people who didn’t survive, that could have just been us. But we’re lucky that we’re here right now, on Thanksgiving and… just together”
Denise, Thanksgiving 2018
This turned out to be Denise’s last Thanksgiving. We are so proud of her grateful heart. May you all have a blessed holiday. Spread kindness & love like glitter ✨

This Thanksgiving we remember Oakley, one of too many allergy angels who went to Heaven after having an allergic reaction. Sending love and gratitude to the Debbs family for raising awareness in his honor 💛
This is one of the last photos of Oakley we have (notice his shoes). It was Thanksgiving break, 2016.
Here, you see Oakley and his twin sister, Olivia, with their mom and dad, at Saint Michael’s College Campus in Vermont. After this, the Debbs family headed to Maine for Thanksgiving.
It was on this day, November 23rd, in 2016, that Oakley experienced an allergic reaction from walnut extract that would ultimately end his life.
11/26/2016 was the last day that Oakley spent on earth with us.
Our memories, like this one, are so very precious and we will always hold onto them, forever and ever.
Hold your babies close this Thanksgiving and give them an extra squeeze from our family. ❤️

SAFETY ALERT: Your allergens can creep up in the most unexpected places!!! 😱
