I just want to make this post as so feel it is necessary for parents to know the time that has gone into making our return back to Vernon Travel. It’s not just as simple as having kids come to tryouts and then we automatically have gyms whenever and wherever you want. It has been a journey for me and the Board to be able to work around all of the obstacles over the season, before the season, and through the season as we move forward and developing these kids who aren’t just confident in basketball but confident in other aspects of life. I’m sorry to the parents regarding scheduling conflicts as we as a program and through the school want to keep costs down to a minimum. Along with school access, all of us are doing this as volunteers so I hope families take this into account before judging how scheduling and other things in league have been ran. I will be the first to say that I have learned so much this past year about getting this set up and running from others in this same field and I thank all them for that. They say Rome wasn’t built overnight, and so wasn’t a good program. So I ask parents to give us time to nurture and help these kids grow

Vernon Travel Basketball is having supplemental tryouts for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade girls at Rockville High School Small Gym from 6-7:30PM on Thursday November 2nd! Boys 5th grade is also having a supplemental tryout at VCMS on Wednesday the 1st at 6-7:30

Today marks the end of the tryouts for restart of Vernon Travel Basketball. Numbers broke Mondays record totaling over 75 kids trying out! The coaches and I will be in contact over the course of the next two days to discuss team placement for your kids. There will also be more tryouts for the girls so follow us on Facebook!

Yesterday was Vernon Travel Basketball first tryout! Over 60 kids were in attendance at the tryout! We will be having our second and final tryout on Wednesday the 25th with the same location and time for each grade. It is free and open to all for the tryouts so come on down! Hello Town of Vernon, I just wanted to remind you that Vernon Travel is coming back this year! To further update tryouts will be held on Monday the 23rd and Wednesday the 25th. All kids in grades 5-8 are welcome! You can RSVP with this form as well just show up on the day of tryouts!
