As we near the end of 2021
I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of my wedding couples who entrusted my care on their special day. It was a busy season beginning in April and wrapping up in late October with 14 newly weds!

I was also honored by officiating 2 memorials and life celebrations.

Thank you to all of my clients and students.
My spiritual mentoring practice continues to thrive as more spiritual journeyers are reaching out to explore their spiritual path and growth.

It’s been a year! I send prayers up for all those impacted by the energies of our trying times. My condolences for your losses, however you experienced them. My joy for all that you gained. And I send thoughts of hope and peace for the days to come as we feel our way into 2022.

" Things that are good are good, and if one is responding to that goodness one is in contact with a truth from which one is getting something...The truth of the sunshine, the truth of the rain, the truth of the fresh air, the truth of the wind in the trees...and if we allow ourselves to be benefited by the forms of truth that are readily accessible to us instead of rejecting them as " merely natural" we will be in a better position to profit by higher forms of truth when they come our way."

In these present times where we are challenged on a global level the truth of our interconnection with and reciprocal relationship to ALL on our planet could not be more apparent. Wake up to this truth. Go find what is true by sitting with a tree or walking in the wind. Your answers are there. We are Nature, not separate from it. Our internal landscapes create our outer world. It is an opportunity for deep reflection into what we may do to create a mutually beneficial relationship with ourselves and with all there is.

Heart ache; in it’s expression of suffering is the birthing process of compassion. My compassionate, expanded heart feels so much gratitude for the essence of the eternal Light that beams into the shadows.

My husband and I have found creative ways to entertain ourselves during our voluntary isolation practice brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and our interest in helping to flatten the curve of it’s spread. I had an idea to pack a picnic and take a drive somewhere as an adventure. Growing up my family would do this on Sundays after church and it was a lot of fun. We would pick a place within an hour or so drive where we had not been before. Along the way we would play car games such as “I spy”. So on this particular day I suggested to my husband that we take a journey to find Hope. Hope, Maine that is. So we did just that! Skeptic as he is, my husband Dave asked, “why Hope”? What was in Hope exactly that would suggest it was a worthy destination? My immediate answer was “why not Hope”? That morning I received a calling, if you will, to drive to Hope as an intentional act to conjure hope within myself and to play with the metaphor created of hope being an actual destination that one arrives at. And I am always up for an adventure. I knew that there was a gift waiting in Hope just for us. As there is for all when we intentionally seek hope in our lives.

Beloved community, I performed a Shamanic Journey ceremony to ask Covid 19 virus if there was a message it had for us. What the virus communicated is this,” I am a stranger in a strange land, I am lost and don’t belong here. Somehow I crossed a border. I don’t belong living in humans. I am sorry.” The plant beings spoke and said that it would support the virus in finding its way back to the viral and microbial world where it will do no harm. But it will take time.

What I take from this message is; from a place of compassion send the virus loving support to find its way home. It’s not within the highest vibration to look at it as an enemy but rather a misplaced organism that has no agenda to do harm. We are all connected and this pandemic teaches us that. Support each other; live in right relationship with the Earth; seek balance and wholeness. Love each other. And all there is.

then…(hopefully)in a clear moment(some clarity) you find yourself(?) somebody(YOU!) must learn to love even when it seems no one
else does.
in a small way everything is a collection of gestures toward REALITY.(is there a real world?)
FEAR/reality=REALITY/fear.
to believe the truth is understanding true fear.
BECAUSE to believe the truth is to admit we can no longer be strangers to reality……….
and that is the most frightening THING in the world.
WHAT! are you afraid of?
who you are
who you want to be
who you will never be
who you have become.
LOVE and MONEY don’t make the world go ’round
fear does.

The moment with first spoke with Rev Jody we felt a sense of calmness about the process. We knew we wanted to write our own vows but didn’t know where to start. She had us start by writing love letters to each other, and experience that brought us closer together during the stress of wedding planning. Then she helped us pull pieces of our love letters and shape them into vows. She provided the gentle guidance we needed. She was in tune with our feelings and kept a close check on our pulse throughout the process. She also helped us stay organized with logistics of a to do list. She was flexible yet helped lead the way when we were unsure. She lead our rehearsal which made us feel at ease. She performed a beautiful hand-binding ceremony for us in the presence of our immediate family. It was magical. The entire process was highly personalized. We highly recommend Rev Jody to those looking for the personal touch!

Standing in the produce aisle while shopping for groceries today I was overcome by feelings of gratitude for the abundance provided by our Earth Mother and the elementals. I saw each pepper, zucchini, tomato and all the other individual vegetables and fruit in their beauty and as sovereign beings.
I acknowledged their lives and gave thanks. I also remembered all the hands and resources it took to bring these beauties to us.

"When dealing with people who seem very unaware, remember that everyone must find their own way to awakening.
You may be someone who understands the true nature of reality, perceiving deeply that we all emanate from the same source, that we are all essentially one, and that we are here on earth to love one another. To understand this is to be awakened to the true nature of the self, and it is a blessing. Nevertheless, people who just don't get it are seemingly everywhere and, often, in positions of power. It can be frustrating and painful to watch them behave unconsciously. We all encounter individuals of this bent in our families, at work, and in all areas of public life. It is easy to find ourselves feeling intolerant of these people, wishing we could be free of them even though we know that separation from them is an illusion.

It helps sometimes to think of us all as different parts of one psyche. Just as within our own hearts and minds we have dark places that need healing, the heart and mind of the world has its dark places. The health of the whole organism depends upon the relative health of the individuals within it. We increase harmony when we hold onto the light, not allowing it to be darkened by judgment, anger, and fear about those who behave unconsciously. It's easier to accomplish this if we don't focus on the negative qualities of individuals and instead focus on how increasing our own light will increase the light of the overall picture.

When dealing with people who seem very unconscious, it helps to remember that everyone must find their own way to awakening and that the experiences they are having are an essential part of their process. Holding them in the light of our own energy may be the best way to awaken theirs. At the same time, we are inspired by their example to look within and shed light on our own unconscious places, sacrificing the urge to judge and surrendering instead to humble self-inquiry."

I am feeling so grateful and full of joy during my busy ceremonial season! I have been drenched in the juiciness of the creative process with my number one intention of delighting the community that I serve. Its been a busy and fulfilling season so far! My travels have taken me from Southport Island to Augusta Maine. And there is more yet to come!
