IUIU Alumni Association holds a maiden reunion meeting in Sokoto

The Islamic University In Uganda Alumni Association organized a colourful one day maiden reunion in Sokoto State.

The reunion meeting held on Sunday 29/12/2019 at S.S.C.O.E Sokoto has the wisdom of cementing unity, cohesion and solidarity among all the Alumni members not only in Sokoto but Nigeria in general.

Speaking shortly after the formal inauguration of caretaker Committee the patron of the Association and H.OD Department of Islamic Studies S.S.C.O.E Sokoto Dr. Rufa'i Usman Ismail Rungumi commended the effort of the CTC for cogitating the idea of uniting the Alumni and urge the extension of Alumni Association to reach every nook and cranny of the country.

"To ensure continuity and effectiveness in the activities of IUIU Alumni Association in Sokoto and Nigeria, the movement must be apolitical and free from any prejudice on the side of the exco and members. Therefore there is need to exercise patience and perseverance in running the affairs of the association". He added.

In his remark, the Chairman CTC of the association Malam Sadik Abubakar thanked all the members for having time to honour their invitation and prayed Allah SWT to reward them abundantly.

The Secretary of the caretaker Committee and also the HOD Department of Business Education SSCOE Sokoto Malam Yusuf Buhari reiterated the utmost need for upholding unity and cohesion among the members of the association. He finally exressed his optimism that as time goes on, this association can reach the zenith of giving out donation to the IUIU as Alma Mater.

The caretaker Committee inaugurated during the occassion were Sadik Abubakar as a Chairman, Yusuf Buhari as Secretary General and Abdulƙadir Salihu Imam as Assistant Secretary among others.
