As the Academic year comes to an end, there comes the need for one last GA, VOSjes🙏

We shall show you our Budget Realisations, as well as all we've done on the Policy Plan, as well as our Social Safety Policy for the year.

We shall leave on a very good note as we will also vote on our Candidate board, and vote down our current one to let them have a restful summer after all the hard work this year🤌

Last week our Sister associations for Linguistics had an *amazing* time in Groningen!

On the 24th was held the annual LANGU-day, this time organised by the lovely from RUG💓

We went to their university where they had organised a super interesting lecture, as well as an informative and fun walk around the city of Groningen.

We ended the day at a café where we talked, and talked, such an amazing opportunity to meet up with our peers with interest in Linguistics!

Had an absolutely amazing day with VOSjes, Zazaïsten, InTenSievelingen, TWISTERS, and Babelaars.

In light of the current situation on campus and the UvA as a whole, the Board of XXIV would like to extend our personal regards to all students and members!

We would like to invite you to the LANGU-day on the 24th of May, when we will invite you to the beautiful city of Groningen🥰 Organised by our sister organisation in Linguistics - ZaZa!

You're welcome at the University of Groningen at 11.00 and at 11.30 the program will start with a lecture by Mark de Vries🎉.

The day will also include a lunch and a city tour provided by the Groningen company Puutje💚. They will teach us more about the beautiful city and its language.

At the end of the day we would like to get drinks with whoever feels like it. The costs for this day will be at a maximum of 10 euros per person and if possible this will be lowered. This is for the whole day, except for drinks during the lunch and drinks afterwards.

Study associations Nordom, Helios, Radost and VOS organize a Language Cafe together, and we would love you to join!

The idea behind this Language Cafe is to create ’language tables‘, at which a certain language will be spoken (about) while enjoying (cultural) snacks and beverages.

Is there a language you’ve always wanted to learn, or do you want to practice a language you‘re already somewhat proficient in?

Do you enjoy teaching people about a language you speak fluently?

Then this Language Cafe might be right up your alley!

In honour of Boekenweek, VOX-POP & the Bibliotheek will dive into the theme of 'Family' during Boekfest!

Be prepared for a varied cultural programme where we will explore the many-sided nature of this theme. Because everything is family and family is everywhere: from mobfathers to dragmothers and language families, and from motherboards to traditional family games.

We will explore the meaning of family together, with a LeesclUB, a suprising family pub quiz and a drag workshop, among other things.

Another Language Café is coming up thanks to our A&C Committee and our amazing Polish VOSje - Sasza!

No need for much preparation, as you will once again learn some basic phrases and a bit about the culture, this time around about Poland🇵🇱 Informational & fun as always so you just need to have your curiosity caps on!

Following it we shall go to Aknathon for a party with some of our friends in the Faculty of Humanities so if you're 18+ we also expect you there🫶

Another Game Night is in the plans VOSjes~
We shall wait for you in PCH for another night of (friendly) competition.
We have quite some arsenal within our ranks but you can also bring your favorite games to play together! Get ready for an exciting board-tastic time 🫶

The annual *Linguistics Career Day (LCD)* is coming up again! This year, it will be hosted in Utrecht 🎉

During this day, a number of people who have studied linguistics will talk about their personal career path and experiences. So are you interested in where this study might take you in the future? Then this is the event for you! In the following days, we will provide a booklet containing a detailed program and travel information, so stay tuned for that :)

It will take place on the *9th of March*, and the doors open at *11:00*. The event will last until 14:30 - 15:00. The location will be *Spinoza Hall* at the *International Campus Utrecht*, rooms 009 & 013 (Kriekenpitplein 18-19, 3584 EC Utrecht). Lunch is not provided, so bring your own!

VOSjes! Etcetera, in collaboration with a few more organisations is hosting its annual party on the ides of March in commemoration of the stabbing of Caesar so of course we would LOVE to join💃🏻

As we know this is Chopin's birth country and there are quite a few places definitely worth visiting in Wrocław~

Hello everyone!
As our first language café of this academic year, namely the Welsh Language Café has taken off and developed even more over the months maybe there are some other people that are interested but haven't heard of the opportunity yet~

Joe is leading a small (as of now!) group of complete beginners and they've been having Welsh Sessions every week. As the new year has begun the day and time has changed as well so this is our way of informing you and also heartily welcoming you!

The sessions will take place every Friday from 17:00-18:00 until 22nd March at PCH 5.37.

We would also love to hear your opinions on anything and everything we can do to make your study days more enjoyable💓

We decided to make it online so it is accessible to more people! We will welcome you to our space on Gather, which we use to hold our meetings.
