Newest addition to our family, Mr Archie 🥰
So I haven't posted in a long time due to personal reasons and then I had end of year exams.
They are final all done and this weekend we have our first stay away of the year at weston lawns!

Here's a lovely photo of me and my gorgeous Lilybell!
Wearing full set form - Gray Equestrian
I haven't posted for a while and I'll do an update tomorrow but for now, please enjoy this amusing video of me having flying lessons off my 18.3hh horse!
Was going to post on Friday but I just happened to come across this sound on tik tok and it lined up perfectly! 😂
Need sound!
Brookie enjoying the sunshine last week!
Due to the lovely weather and being allowed more time at the yard, I've been able to start taking videos again!
Here are some videos I've taken over the past week.
-
All the horses are doing really well and hopefully taking Brook and Lily out on Friday for some training! Xx
My very well behaved 6 year old giant!
Otto was having his saddle altered so I thought I'd hop on him ba****ck!
We did a bit of trot and Canter and then I got the idea of wanting to stand up on his back!!!
He just stood there looking adorable, while I messed around. This was the first time I'd ever stood up on his back!
He was a very good boy and seemed to enjoy it 😂❤️
-
It was very high up and slightly scary as it was also a very long way down when I dared to look down!!!!

Outfit = Infinity Equestrian
Over lockdown I've been looking around at small businesses so I can help support them and help them grow rather then just buying from large companies. I've found brought from quiet a few now and all have been reviewed on my tik tok, there are still more I am planning to buy from.
I have recently come across a small resin boutique on instagram . She does many things such as letter key rings, these cute Teddy key rings but the thing that drew me in the most was the resin horse shoes she does!
I contacted her immediately asking about the horse shoes, the next day lilybells hair was in the post!
Around 3 days after receiving lily's hair the shoe was all done. She kept in contact with me throughout and kept checking to see if I liked the design and the flowers she was using (she was able to match them to mine and lilybells colours).
It took around a week in total which personally I think is really good!! She is also very affordable and has great customer services trying to make the product as customisable and perfect as possible!
I want to say a big thank you to her for being so helpful and kind! And for anyone wanting a horse shoe done or even a keyring with your horses hair in she does an amazing job!
I highly recommend her and if you could go and give her a follow it would be much appreciated ♥️♥️
Whilst I was back at uni, the horses had a duvet day and Emma sent me these lovely videos of Mr Otto having a nap 🥰
She did attempt to wake him up as she needed to skip out, but as you can see Otto wasn't having it 😂 the second video is adorable! He's trying so hard to stay awake but you can see him slowly nodding off, and his little lips are smudged together. 🥰
Loving how we match.
Burgundy does look amazing on her ❤️

Lilybell is back to being over dramatic!
She's going really well at the moment, gets a little over excited when we do changes but her trot work is amazing!
-
I gave both her a Brook a jump yesterday and they were super.
Lily really enjoyed jumping again, it's been over a month since we were last able to. I can tell her flat work is really helping improve her jumping, always nice when we finally get the results we were looking for!
Brookie was such a good boy! Felt like he was on springs, can't wait to get our competing again!
We only did a small combination of a 1 stride to a 2 stride.
Sadly I couldn't get any decent video as it was dark.

Lilybell looking lovely in the sunshine ❤️
It has been almost a month since I last posted.
I have been very busy as I started uni again, but being as it went online I was finding it very difficult. On top of that both Lily and Otto injured themselves.
-
Otto got kicked in the field in a very awkward place (near to the top of his hind leg), so we had the vet out, he was a very good boy and very brave while they cleaned the cut up, and examined how deep it went (lucky it wasn't too deep) .
So far it's going well, its seems to have healed over nicely and he is working really well, finally getting the hang of his flat work. (thanks to my mums hard work, she doesn't let me ride him anymore 😂)
Hopefully in around a week or 2 I can give him a jump if his cut remains heeled.
-
Lilybell went and took her shoe off and in the process bruised her tendon, she was lame for a few days, but ended up having almost a week off, we did alot of ground work in that time. She soon got fed up of the ground work, at this point I realised maybe she's ready for me to get back on. She has been back in work for almost a week now and she's back to normal, well as normal as Lilybell will ever be.
Hoping to have a jump on her at the weekend.
(I will be posting a video edit later in the week of how she went on Saturday)
-
Brookie has been great I've done alot of flat work on him, more for my benefit, as he is now very well schooled and knows all his moves you just need the correct aids and he does the move.
We have been practicing Canter pirouettes, we can do a half one at the moment, we are also really getting the hang of medium trot.
-
I should be back to posting regularly, I currently have a week off uni and then I'm back and get to go in once a week, which I'm looking forward to! Hopefully restrictions at the yard will ease and I can get more videos of the horses as well as hopefully taking them out training when the rules allow it.
-
Below are some photos from February!
Lilybell ❤️
-
I look tiny but I do love how stunning Lilybell looks.
The gentle giant had a clip at the weekend!
He looks very grown up and smart!! ❤️
I haven't posted in a while as I had a very long and stressful weekend. I also had my first day back at uni yesterday (online).
On Saturday afternoon lily began to colic, we immediately called the vet out, in the mean time lily was lunge to help move what ever was causing her discomfort. The vet arrived and examined her, and luckily we appear to have caught it early as she was just very gassy.
We then had lots of cuddles while I waited for the sedation to wear off. She then had to be staved and was regularly monitored throughout the night between us and Sue (the yard owner).
She did throw a temper tantrum in the early hours of the morning as a protest against not being allowed food 😂 she'd pulled all her rugs down off her rug rack which she has never done before.
She was able to go out the next day and spent all morning happily grazing in the sunshine. She was lunged a few times throughout the course of afternoon and evening, just to keep her moving and not standing in for hours.
She is now recovered and is definitely feeling okay back to her normal self, all food orientated again. 😂
I had a little ride on her yesterday just doing some long and low work, she went lovely. ❤️
-
I would like to say a huge thank you to Emma and Sue, for taking care of miss Lilybell, and sorting her out while I rushed to get the the yard, as well as an extra thank you to Sue for helping me monitor her throughout the night. ❤️
Snow day!
Haven't been able to ride recently due to the bad weather but everything's back to normal now! ❤️
-
Little vlog from the other day! New thing I'm starting on tik tok!
Videos of Brook and Lilybell ♥️
They both jumped really well through the combination!
Managed to have a jump on the horses at the weekend.
Mum even had a jump on Otto for the first time since we have taught him to jump.
I think she enjoyed herself!
-
I'll be posting videos of Brook and Lily later on in the week.

Otto and Oscar having kisses 😂 he is one special horse! ♥️
Took this video a while ago over Christmas I think it was Boxing day, I was just messing around with her, giving her a leg stretch and she decided she was going to refuse to trot 😂
Eventually she gave in and I got some nice long and low trot work. I'm not sure what got into her but she had it in her head she was not going to cooperate 🙄😂
Then again she's a mare and an opinionated one at that! ♥️
With us going into another lockdown I won't be posting as much about the horses due to not being able to take them out and I'm only allowed up in the evening when it's dark, meaning poor quality videos.
-
I will post a bit more about Lexi and I want to do some more reviews on some of my new horse clothing!
Happy New Year from me and the horses!
It's been a year of highs and lows, especially with Lilybell, but things seem to be looking up! Just wish competitions were allowed to be ran again! Plus being able to find a lorry would be brilliant, as I really want to get Otto out this year!
-
My goals for this year:
- For Otto my goal is a simple one, I want to get him travelling so he can see new places, try new things such as XC and eventually progress to competing!
- Last year on Lily was difficult, the year started off well, then kinda went down hill with the stomach ulcers, then the lymphangits. I'm hoping this year will be better, she seems to be doing well and I would love to qualify for the Nationals and eventually Hoys; plus I also want to try out for the under 21's.
- I had a really good year on Brook, qualifying for the D&H amateurs, I would love to go to nationals, we only need one double clear to qualify for second rounds!
- For my final goal I would love to get a sponsorship! There a a few companies I want to apply for, they are all ones which I review and regularly tag in my posts.
-
Bellow are a few of my favourite moments from this year!
I don't normally do Christmas present posts as I feel it's unfair on some people. I will however be doing some reviews throughout January on some of the stuff I got for Christmas and some items I purchased in the sales. This is due to me personally finding reviews very helpful when it comes to buying products so I'm hoping I can help other people.
-
This post is more of a thank you! ❤️
If you have been following me for a while you will know that Lily and Otto's grandma is my mums Show jumper, she is still going strong and turned 32 this year!
My grandma keeps thinking of riding her as she's looking so well, but those of you who know Simone know why we suggested not to! We said we would get mum on her first to see if she behaves! 😂
-
For Christmas I wanted to get something special, using the hair from Simone and I came across Pru's shoes on Facebook, I got in touch towards the end of October and discussed with them about design, then by November it was all sorted and had been delivered. The only thing that I needed to provided was the horse hair, the flowers were all provided for me and you can discuss colours and other pieces such as writing on the shoe which can be nicely seen on this shoe. I was so happy when the shoe came it's beautiful and I knew my mum was going to love it! We decided to frame the shoe as it helps it stand out more and due to us having a vinyl printer we thought the "Simone" at the bottom would add that little extra uniqueness!
I would like to say a huge thank you to Pru's Shoes they were amazing, making sure to get all the details right and kept me updated along the way ❤️.
I will defiantly be ordering from them again maybe something for myself this time! 🤔😂
-
Below are some photos of the present and some pretty pictures of Simone! ❤️ Keep an eye out on my story as there will be a cute little video being posted soon!
Lexi turned 6 months old on Christmas eve! ❤️
She's a big girly now!
Suprised I can still pick her up!
We are currently in the process of teaching Otto to back into the solarium. 😂He's too big to go in normally and turn around so we decided to try backing him in, we got two feet in yesterday but barely, most the time he just stood on the edge.
He will understand eventually but it's going to take a long time as he keeps getting distracted.
-
Mum is desperate to wash him as he is currently filthy, covered in mud and poo stains 😕😂
Update on the Lilybell
-
So we have had a very long month with a lot of vet visits. Lily seems to be doing much better, she has been in work for around 2 and a half weeks now, but I haven't been able to jump her due to there still being a lump and slight heat in her leg. Due to this, we decided to get her scanned to make sure there wasn't a foreign body, we hoped to just find some tissue damage.
-
The scan was very interesting to watch and our vet was great, he talked through the whole process and explained what we were actually seeing on the screen. When we came to the area where the lump was we found a small fragment of bone, this was still attached but had moved slightly and there was quite a bit of tissue damage around the area.
We believe she may have caught herself the last time I jumped, hence it swelled slightly and then due to her low immune system she unfortunately ended up getting lymphangitis again.
The vets said that we need to treat it as a settled splint as she hasn't been lame and has been going lovely. They did however say there is a chance it could break off and cause problems, but that could be in say a months time or as far away as a year.
-
The good news is I have finally got the all clear to jump her. So on thursday we set up a jump and I popped her over it a few times and she felt great, she was very excited and did speed up a little into the fence but she hasn't been jumped for over a month so I can understand her excitement.
-
I had planned to jump her today but yesterday when I went up as I was tacking up, I noticed she had a really sore mouth which I was confused by. She previously had just had a bit of peeling, where now it was on both sides and the fur had all been rubbed off. We had decided the skin peeling must have been itching and she had rubbed on it. Due to it being sore and her barely wanting me to touch it. I didn't want to put her bit on her mouth, so instead I rode her in her doolie which was interesting as it completely changed the pressure, causing her to sneeze a lot as well as see what she could get away with.
Being as I really want to jump her, but won't be putting a bit in her mouth for a while I am going to give it ago with the doolie, she should be fine but then again it's Lilybell. 😂
Christmas Lexi photos ❤️

The candy cane kept annoying her 😂
This review is on my competition riding hat I got from Gatehouse Hats.
I decided I wanted to get a nicer hat for when I was out competing, I spent a while looking around, found a few I liked, but due to my odd shaped head! I struggled to find any that fitted nicely and comfortably; that was until I tried Gatehouse. Their hats vary slightly in fitting, meaning sadly I couldn't get the diamonte one, as it didn't sit quite right. However I did get an alternative which I love equally as much, its the navy suede model. It matches lovely with my jacket and fits really nicely and comfortably. They come in both matt and suede, normally in navy or black, there are many different ones plain, diamonte or their new rose gold.
-
I would highly recommend these hats as they are very professional looking and nicely affordable; plus they seem to have a wide range of shapes to help fit varying head types.
-
The first few photos are of me out competing, as you can see it matches so nicely with my jacket. The final photo is a close up of the hat alone.
-
Only two more reviews left!!
Took the boys out to a clinic with Graham Savoury on Saturday, they were both really well behaved.
With otto we decided to go back to basics as we have not jumped for a while and he had been having the odd stop. We started with poles, then progressively built up the line of jumps. He jumped it fine coming from the blue wings, but when asking him the other way he would back off. So we placed a pole on the ground a stride out and represented; he jumped lovely, I think his problem is with a one stride double, they are tight and he is concerned he won't fit. When going over a single fence he was fine, we did a lovely course, sadly we had the planks down the first time but I wasn't too fussed as he did clear them the second time.
Brook was amazing, I took him down the same line as Otto then we put a course together and he was flying over the fences. They were around 90cm-1 metre. I'm really happy with how he went, considering we hadn't been very in sync the past few times.
Just really hoping we can hurry up and find a lorry so I can start taking Otto out to new places as its going to be very overwhelming for him with so many new things to look at and friends to make. 😂
Today I had the bright idea of doing some flying changes on Lilybell, after her having 2 days off 😂 think it's safe to say she's feeling better!
-
Lily has been back in work for a week now and she's doing really well, I've been taking it slow and gradually building up her Canter work, due to university and bad weather she has had 2 days off, today I thought it was time to introduce flying changes again and well... I nearly ended up on the floor! 😂 She did an enormous leap stuck her head down and bucked I was so unprepared but luckily stayed on. Sadly I didn't get the first one on video, after a while she calmed down a little but not much at all she tried to bolt around the arena with me. 😂
Finally she settled and I got some lovely work out of her in both trot and Canter.
-
I also took Otto and Brook out to a clinic today, so I will be posting about that tomorrow. Along with a review for my competition riding hat.
This review will be on my DeNiro boots which I got from Joshua Jones UK in 2017. They are the best boots I've ever had! I really struggled to find boots which fitted my calfs as they are skinny, but also really long. Joshua Jones were brilliant, they got me all measured up and we talked about the design I wanted, whether I wanted laces or not and what kind of stitching; they made sure I got the perfect boots!
Since having DeNiros boots I wouldn't pick any other, I have had them for 3 years now and they are doing fine. I did have a slight problem approx 6 months after getting them, the seam where the button attaches at the top started to tear, so we messaged Joshua Jones and they were brilliant, they said to send them back and they would have them fixed for. Since then I've had no problems and they are still so comfy and fit perfectly.
-
I would highly recommend getting a pair if your considering these. I am aware they are pricey, I got mine for my 16th birthday, however they are really long lasting and definitely worth the price; especially if you have legs like mine which struggle to fit into normal boots. Plus they are fully customisable, mine are laced with blue/blue stitching, they have a flower blue pattern on the top which matches my jacket; they also have 3 diamantes at the top the next to the DeNiro logo.
-
The first 3 photos are of me at competitions showing off how well the boots both look and fit! Sadly I don't have my jacket on in any of the photos as they match with my jacket nicely.
The last two photos are close ups of the beautiful flower detail and the blue stitching.
Mr Otto has managed to cut his leg, its only a little cut but I was having a look at it today and he decided he wanted to help me investigate. 😂
-
I will be post another review tomorrow so keep a look out!
For this review I will be talking about swish rugs.
I hadn't heard of swish before but never really though much about what make my rug is, I just wanted it to look nice and not be overly expensive, that was until Otto decided to grow even more and his 7'0 ft rugs no longer fitted him. We spent ages looking on different websites and at different rug makes until finally we found swish. There rugs are affordable, they have lovely range of colours and go up to 7'3ft.
-
Since finding Swish we have brought quiet a few rugs from them for our big giant, we've got a turn out rug, stable rug and a fly rug combo for him. They are all really good quality and his turnout rug is very durable considering the amount of rain we've had plus in the field he does alot of playing and there hasn't been a single tear! I'm currently looking to get my other horse (Lilybell) a new rug as hers is no longer water proof, I would love to get her a burgundy or purple rug turn out rug!!
-
I am really happy we found swish as we struggled to find anywhere else that stocked as high as 7'3ft rugs.
Here are some photos of Otto modeling his fly rug combo and his medium weight turnout rug. 😂
If you have a large horse and are struggling to find rugs, head over to swish as they go all the way up to 7'6ft, or if you have small horse go take a look at some of there amazing rugs!
Being as I ride pretty much everyday, I have been trying to find some more riding leggings. I find them much comfier than Jodhpurs. I've had quiet a few different pairs, but my favourites so far are my Paragon Equestrian ones.
-
I have had them for 2 years and they are still almost as good as new. The sticky pads are still intact, the printing is still on, they fit the same as when I got them and they can be worn in both the summer and winter as the material is perfect for both. I find some leggings can be great for summer, but then in winter too thin and I get cold, not the case with these. I find them so comfy, mine are in burgundy as it's my favourite colour. They no longer do the dotted leggings, however they do a new leopard print which look just as amazing! They come in 4 colours, I think the Slate grey is best.
I usually pair them with my XC baselayer as they match nicely!
-
I am currently looking at getting another pair 😁 A pair of these would be a brilliant Christmas present! My bf got me mine for Christmas and they were the first ever pair of riding leggings I got and now I want more! 😂
Due to us being in lockdown again and Lily now falling ill with cellulitis/lymphangitis again. 😕 I haven't got much to post, so I decided with it being Christmas soon, I am going to do some reviews on some of my most worn and favourite equestrian products.
-
Lord & Lady Equestrian
The first product I am going to review is one you will have probably seen quite a lot on my page. It is my Lord and Lady burgundy show shirt. It is one of my favourites to wear due to its comfortable material and the ventilation which runs down the back and under the arms, helping keeping you cool while riding. I am also in love with the design; the L&L markings stitched all over the shirt give it that extra detail, as well as the gorgeous L&L logo in golden stitching matching the zipper.
-
I would highly recommend getting one; for a Christmas or Birthday present it would be amazing!
My boyfriend got me mine for my birthday back in May! and I have worn it nearly ever time I've been out competing! ♥️
Due to the dark nights and having time slots at the yard, I won't have much content to post over winter. Until I can start taking the horses out again to hire places or compete.
Heres a cute little video of Otto being all adorable and funny, 😂😍 he is such a gentle giant!
I will be posting old videos and photos from our year, that I ether never got round to posting or I'll repeat some posts.
Lexi will also be featuring on my page quiet a bit. ❤️
