I had a great time today creating several Christmas designs, including my first-ever attempt at painting the Grinch. It was a freehand painting, so it took me about an hour to complete. Although I wouldn’t say it’s a salon-friendly design, it was a lot of fun to create.

Now, that I have your attention 😉 Let me say this first: I appreciate you if you’re my client!  If you’re not my client yet, I’d love to meet you in  Susan's Nails. 🫶

🚫 Please don’t remove your nails before the visit – it doesn’t actually help or shorten the visit time. It will actually have the opposite effect and can ruin your nails.

💭 Please have a design or colour in mind. I’m always happy to give advice, but having ideas to work with and knowing the basics will save us a lot of time. 🙂

⏰️ Please be on time. I’d hate the situation if I had to cancel your appointment or couldn’t do everything you planned (or needed) for you. Each client is important and I fully respect your, theirs and my time too. 🙂

💰 High-quality products are more expensive, so the services are priced accordingly, but would you sacrifice your health and safety for that £5 - £10 by choosing something less than you deserve?

⌛️ Please know that nail styling takes time. Yes, it can be done fast, but then it won’t be any good. Precision takes time, and if precision is what you’re after, then you’ll definitely find it at Susan's Nails.

Did you know ... low temperatures could be causing your cuticle to become much dryer and more fragile.

🧤 Wear gloves when you go outside to protect your hands from the cold air.

🧴 Use hand cream or lotion regularly to keep your nails and cuticles moisturized.

I’ve heard this common misconception so many times, so let me clarify it for you 🙂

Many women think that nails need to breathe. Otherwise, they’ll get weaker. (It’s OK, I used to think that too before becoming a nail technician 😉 )

Nothing could be further from the truth. Your nails don’t breathe, so there’s no need to take a break from wearing gel.

In reality you can wear them all the time, ASSUMING that the application was made correctly, and there’s no lifting that may lead to infection or damage to the nail plate, that the products used are good quality, and your nail tech is qualified and follows health and safety rules.

Regular maintenance, such as infill or rebalance, is a must to keep your nails safe and healthy.

That’s all 🙂 No break from enhancements is needed unless you want it.

Like other nail enhancement products, the gel is made of acrylic ingredients. So it’s not about whether one is better than the other; it’s about the differences in application, durability, longevity, and personal preferences.
