appreciation post. I am a two-time alum, student athlete, student ambassador, resident assistant, graduate assistant and former Director of Marketing. Florida Atlantic was more than just a brand I worked for. It was a part of me. This week, as the country gets to see our Owls on the basketball court, I’m reminded of all the branding, marketing, and communications work that we put in to prepare our school for a moment like this. From a simple set of branding elements, and through a few different administrations, is poised to prove how bold and daring they really are. To all my fellow comms folks - work hard because you too will have a moment like this or Go Home!

Go sports team! Who else out there has more teams they support than they can keep up with? Just in soccer alone, my mind can be occupied by game updates all across the globe - but of course, it's never enough. I guess the more teams you follow the better chance you have of winning a championship. I mean, I got a Super Bowl and a World Cup in the same year - image that! And no team board would be complete without a team that is either fictitious, defunct, rebranded, or just plain gone. Maybe one day we can resurrect those scrappy Fort Lauderdale Strikers - now that would be something special.

Last weekend we took the kids to Disney. Character breakfasts, rides, and magic everywhere! Can you believe we hit 3 parks in one day? I'm still sore just thinking about it. But being with your family, seeing the joy of in your kids' eyes - there's nothing that beats it. Disney has always been a home away from home for us - some even call us the DisNuts! But is it that crazy to believe in the fantasy?

Sometimes we forget the path it takes from plan to implementation. It takes hard work, teamwork, and a lot of effort to maintain a brand's look and feel. So here's a little reminder that you have to stick to the details from the beginning. Here's a small slice of the transformation that is currently underway . Part of a larger capital campaign that will see two campuses skyrocket to another dimension - just another example of how Gulliver Prep is leading the way, defining a new image of independent school education.
