My proudest plant moment of my career. The bird of paradise in full bloom! Loving her life inside the . If you would have asked me before this if this was possible I would have said no way. It’s very rare to have a BOP bloom inside; yet here she is in all her glory.

I wish I could share the perfect combo for making this happen, but it’s no different than what I’ve always done. Chunky well draining soil, regular watering (using a moisture meter) with fish tank water, and very bright indirect light 🌞

Ebb and Phloem is still kickin! To say I’ve had a busy summer is an understatement.

This summer I’ve gotten to do a lot of working, traveling, and concert going- but not a ton of plant talking! The plants are happy and enjoying their summer outside. Stay tuned for some more plant content and fall sales 💖🌿

Today I got to do something a little outside of my comfort zone and set up these two amazing spring planters for in Douglas! It was so much fun making these and I’m so happy with how they turned out! HUGE thank you to for helping me out along the way and offering sage advice. And thank you to at Water Street Gallery for giving me the opportunity!

This morning I had the pleasure of placing this gorgeous pothos at Saugatuck Center for the Arts] and I also got to check out the exhibit “Fertile Futures” by Molly Costello. Their work is incredible! I highly suggest stopping in to check it out if you’re in town. If you’re not in town, what are you doing? Come visit Saugatuck and make sure you stop at the !

Welp. It finally happened. Covid finally got me and I’m so sad to say I won’t be able to make it to the sale today at 😭💔

I’ll be having my own sale in the next few weeks, so keep an eye on any updates right here!

These Alocasia regal shields are easy growers, they love shady spots, and have huge showy leaves! I will have 2 available this Saturday and they will be available in one gallon nursery pots.

Hey Saugatuck/Douglas and surrounding areas! It’s finally happening- community plant swap stand!! 🌱🌿🍃

I will post when it’s officially set up and running (this weekend!!) and also an exact location (It will be in Saugatuck) 🌈❤️

This will run like a “little library”. Take a plant if you need a plant, leave one if you have it/want to.
No crazy rules, we just ask that you only place plants on the stand itself. If it’s full, please don’t leave items next to the stand as that could start to look cluttered (don’t worry it’s large enough for a great selection!).

FOR SALE: Epiphyllum oxypetalum, aka Queen of the Night, is an impressive night blooming cactus that will provide large white flowers when mature enough. This is a trailing plant, but also an epiphyte, which means they like to grow on other plants in their natural habitat. These would make great plants for a moss pole or trellis, or can also be planted as a hanging trailing plant. It would be happy either way! The Queen of the Night would be happiest in bright indirect light, can handle small amounts of direct light as well. Bright filtered light would be best for this plant. These plants will come planted in a nursery pot, making it perfect to fill any empty pots you have on hand already. Or you can leave them in the nursery pot and they will thrive.

FOR SALE: Everybody’s favorite designer plant!
The Pink Princess features striking pink variegation. Place this in a bright spot with filtered light and water when the top 2 inches are dry. It’s always better to underwater these plants than overwater.
Avoid placing this plant in direct light as the leaves could burn.
Like other more common philodendrons these plants are also epiphytes, meaning they grow on other plants in the wild. This plant would benefit from a moss pole or trellis as it gets older.
This plant is planted in soil meant to help the roots grow and comes in a nursery pot. I would recommend keeping this plant in the nursery pot until its bigger because they are sensitive to repotting.

FOR SALE: Cereus repandus aka Peruvian Apple Cactus.

The Cereus repandus, aka Peruvian Apple Cactus is a columnar cactus that grows straight up and will flower at maturity. They get their name from the large fruits they grow after flowering that resembles apples. These are sun loving plants! Bright indirect or direct light is best. Allow to completely dry out between waterings. Water less during winter months. Rotate your cactus every couple weeks to avoid any possible leaning or bending on the column. Plant is planted in specific soil to allow for maximum drainage. These cacti are wonderful additions to a sunny room!

FOR SALE: variegated Peperomia obtusifolia- non toxic and pet friendly!

These plants, also known as baby rubber plant, is a great starter plant or perfect if you’re looking to add some different looking plants into your home! The leaves are succulent like, so they are drought tolerant making them perfect for the forgetful plant parent. These plants prefer bright indirect light, they can handle short amounts of direct light. Filtered bright light would be best for these plants. Because they store some water in their leaves, allow these plants to dry out between waterings.
This plant is planted in terracotta with drainage which will help avoid overwatering. It is planted in plant specific soil to help facilitate drainage.
