Many of our waters in Maine are tailwaters and have an abundance of chironomids, especially early season. Also great to suspend a midge in a pond after ice out.

Land Locked Salmon are a hell of a sport fish and are plentiful in most rivers in Maine. If you’ve never experienced the acrobatic fight of these fish, don’t miss out on this experience this season. DM to book a day chasing land locked salmon with me. If you’re new to fly fishing or have been doing it all your life I will tailor the trip to your needs. I focus on an all around general fly fishing education and having a stress free good time, sometimes it’s just the little tidbits of info that can make the difference in catching or not catching.
