Unbelievable

The world of golf is upside down, but suddenly, and ironically, The Creeks at Ivy Acres in Hortonville, ravaged by a tornado last summer, can comply with all the new rules of golf.

Visit Oshkosh

Repost from Oshkosh Country Club! ⛳️

With Oshkosh Country Club now being a semi-private golf course, our first day of public play in the history of the club will be April 24th. Tee times will begin at 10:00 am. You will be able to make tee times starting Monday afternoon for 9 or 18 holes. Unfortunately, it will be walking only. 9 holes walking will be $20 on the weekdays, and $25 on the weekend. 18 holes walking will be $40 on the weekdays, and $45 on the weekend.

If you have any questions, or need assistance booking tee times, please contact Austin Elsner at [email protected] or Donny Sell at [email protected]

With golf courses allowed to open, we must follow some rules and regulations.

1. The use of golf carts is prohibited.
2. Social Distancing Requirements must be observed at all times, unless the players reside in the same living unit or household.
3. All tee times and payments must be made in advance online or by phone.
4. Clubhouses and pro shops must remain closed.
5. Tee times must be spaced to avoid multiple foursomes from clustering or gathering at any stage of the course.
6. Driving ranges and miniature golf must remain closed.
7. Sales of beer, liquor and food are prohibited.
8. Water is NOT available on the course.
9. Flag sticks and cups will be placed 1 inch above ground.

Unfortunately, not allowing golf carts isn’t great news, but at this point, we have to take what we can get!

Hope to see you all soon!

Erin Hills Golf Course

We have all done our best in recent weeks to flatten the curve. While there is more work to be done, today we begin to think about safely playing together again in a setting we all long for — the golf course.

The 2020 season at Erin Hills will open on Monday, May 18.

Thank you all, and see you soon.

Kids, show off your creativity!

Calling all future golf course designers! First Tee of NEW Teen participants were tasked with designing their own golf holes as part of their Golf At Home program. Their renderings are quite impressive. We may have the next Pete or Alice Dye in development.

The designs were converted to a digital course on the Xbox game The Golf Club 2019. The course in final form will be posted next.

Our participants used resources from the informed study of Andy Johnson of to help them grasp the concept of golf course design.

‪Great news for Wisconsin golfers and golf courses. Limited play will be allowed per Gov. Evers’ “Safer At Home” extension beginning at 8 a.m. on April 24 (one week from tomorrow)! Gary D’Amato is getting details and reaction, but here are the terms:‬

To all of my fellow golfers,

Let’s...not....blow this!

There are literally millions of people in this state vehemently opposed to this—seeing it as the ultimate act of “privilege”—and there is nothing they would enjoy more than to take it away from us. They will be out with their phones looking for any and all infractions of the restrictions to use as proof that we are “engaging in behavior that endangers everyone”.

So for the next month, pretend you are Tiger Woods and know that every single thing you do on the course is on camera.

That means driving to the course by yourself and making your payment by the required process.

Walk on opposite sides of the fairway—even if you have to yell to hold a conversation.

Don’t try to sneak out with a bag of s**g balls to hit a few on the range. (This will be hardest for me)

Don’t get sent out as twosomes and then group up for a sixsome on the way back in.

Don’t high five or handshake anyone, even if they make an ace or roll in a punch out from the trees.

Don’t break out the cooler in the parking lot and have a few beers after the round like you are tailgating at Lambeau.

Remember, this is a governor that closed state parks and forests fifty times larger than the average golf course because they were “too crowded”.

Know the rules, obey the rules, and we can enjoy this scaled down version of the sport for at least a month.

The New Golf Tour

Big changes to this year’s NEW Tour schedule

Major Announcements in this post about our 2020 Schedule

In an effort to get ahead of the game, we have changed some of the dates for our events this season.

Our season opener will now be the Dan Gassner State Farm Classic at Shamrock Heights on Sunday, June 28th

The High Stakes 3-Person Scramble at Chaska has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 3rd.

The event at Brown County has been changed to Aug 30th.

The event at Thornberry Creek has been changed to Aug 9th.

The event at Foxfire that was scheduled for Aug 9th will no longer be apart of our 2020 schedule in the Chase for the Appleton Trophy Cup.

The Tour Championship has been pushed back two weeks and will be held on September 12th & 13th (still at Chaska).

These changes will result in there only being 6 events as part of our points schedule. Hopefully by moving these dates around and not officially starting our tour schedule until the very end of June we will be able to get all 6 of these events played.

Our website has been completely updated with all of these changes and you are welcome to register for some or all of these when you please.

Here is how the new schedule looks:
6/28 = Shamrock Heights (Dan Gassner State Farm Classic)
7/10 - 7/12 = Reid (Motus Rx Fox Cities Championship)
7/26 = High Cliff (Pizza King Memorial)
8/9 = Thornberry Creek
8/30 = Brown County (Fox Cities Sign Open)
9/12 - 9/13 = Chaska (Tour Championship driven by Kolosso)
9/19 = Valley Cup (Sponsored by Cooney's Embroidery)*
10/3 = Chaska (High Stakes 3-Person Scramble)**
*Must qualify for this event
**Special Event - no tour points awarded

Please share with your friends and lets make this season the biggest and best once we all get the green light to get back on the course!
