Tula
The Tolhu-Xicocotitlan Nahuatl site, better known as Tula, is famous for its Atlanteans, the colossal 4.5-meter-high monoliths carved out of basaltic rock, comprising an artistic group of Toltec warriors depicted with butterfly pecs and their everyday weaponry , including flint knife. In pre-Hispanic times, Tula was the Toltec capital and the main center of power in the Valleys of Mexico and Puebla, experiencing its splendor between the 10th and 12th centuries. Other interesting buildings of the pre-Columbian settlement are its pyramids, the Burned Palace, the fields for the Ball Game and the Coatepantli or Wall of the Serpents, beautifully decorated with reliefs.

Its gardens, malls, parks, museums, murals, haciendas and its popular Bola de Agua, will make you spend very pleasant moments in the Guanajuato town.
