This is a fantastic opportunity to not only learn about what God is doing all over the world, but to get involved in either joining or supporting missionaries!
This is a great message from Mike Winger! As a group, CEF of Homer has been studying apologetics: the defense of the Bible and the Christian faith, through sound reason and evidence. But our primary focus has been, and will always be, Evangelism: proclaiming the Good News of Jesus!
J. Irving Overholtzer's story is so amazing! He was told from childhood that kids cannot understand the Gospel and receive God's free gift of eternal life. We are so glad that he started CEF, and that God has blessed the ministry with growth and expansion globally!
Thanks so much for having us out, Church on the Rock Homer ! It was an awesome weekend, and a fantastic night to be a part of. And thank you, Homerites, for making this amazing work of God happen in the support of missions both locally and around the world.
The Church on the Rock Homer Missions Conference has been amazing, and it's only day one! Thanks for having us out!
If you're in Homer and want to support your local CEF group, feel free to join us at the SPARC building tonight to hear from some awesome speakers and eat some desert! Tomorrow is the banquet, where I hear there will be some great food. Get your tickets before they run out!
Thanks, Alaska Bible Institute , for letting us come up and share what we do, both here in Alaska and around the world!

What an amazing resource! Praise God for technological advancements that allow us to share His Good News wherever we may be.
Please remember to pray for our CEF missionaries in both Russia and Ukraine, as they continue to serve God in spreading the Gospel.
HOPE FOR UKRAINE - Today the 70 Child Evangelism Fellowship full time Ukraine staff received a mobile friendly file of the Do You Wonder Why booklet in Ukrainian. They will be sharing it around Ukraine and to Ukrainian refugees in other countries via cell phone. CEF wrote this booklet after 9/11 to give comfort to people during times of crisis and to give them hope in Christ. We have included a copy of the file for you to send it to a Ukrainian friend.

We have shared before how Child Evangelism Fellowship is a global organisation. Even though so many of our missionaries and volunteers will never met in person, we pray for each other for safety, provision, and for kids to be reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. With everything going on in Russia and Ukraine, will you join us in prayer for our missionaries in both countries?
Here is a specific prayer request for 65 full-time CEF missionaries in Ukraine:
Pray for Igor and Victoria Dragunova the national director of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ukraine and the 65 full-time missionaries who have devoted all their time to serving children in various regions of Ukraine. cefukraine.com
UPDATE: From Reese Kauffman:
Please pray for our CEF team of 70 national workers in Ukraine. They were together the last couple of days for a conference at a retreat center close to Kiev for the handing over of the area and national leadership to new leaders. These were blessed days. However, yesterday morning they found themselves in a war. We are receiving frequent updates. Travel on the highways is very slow and difficult due to heavy traffic and limited fuel. Most of the workers are on the roads to return to their families in various parts of the country. European leadership who came for the conference left last evening (Kiev time) by train to cross the border with Poland. Please pray for safe travel and that all of this will lead to an advancement of God’s kingdom in particular among the children.
Hello everyone!
As we begin preparations for the 2022 summer ministry season, we find ourselves in a sticky spot: We need volunteers, and we want you! Our ministry is powered almost entirely by volunteers, between the ages of 12 and 112!
What are our requirements?
1.) Love Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
2.) Have a desire to share Jesus with kids!
If you fit this criteria, we would love to have you! Contact us and we can give you all the information you need to know to join a fantastic ministry, share the Gospel with kids, and work with some amazing people!
And if you're not able to join us, please share our page, with someone who might be!
Blessings!
Some of our Anchorage CEF volunteers and staff getting some extra training! That's one of the best things about CEF: we are all about constant growth!
Thank you, Church on the Rock Homer for inviting us to be a part of your annual missions conference! This morning was so fantastic. We can't wait to see what God is going to be doing in the rest of our time!
If you are in town and want to see us, CEF Homer with be at the SPARC building tonight at 6 pm! Come hear from a ton of Missionaries about what God is doing around the world and here locally, and have some desert while you're at it!
After all of this, you may be wondering: What is this Gospel, or Good News you're talking about!?
Excellent question!
The Gospel, very simply put, is this: God made everything. He made the starts in the sky, the fish in the sea, and all the wonders of the universe. The Bible tells us that His most loved and special creation, though, is people. And that means you. He loves you with a love that doesn't have a beginning or an end (Jeremiah 31:3b). God is also perfect, which means he cannot do any kind of wrong.
But we humans are born wanting do to wrong things (Romans 3:23). These wrong things separate us from God. Just as the dark cannot mix with the light, so also can wrong not mix with right. The Bible tells us that the punishment for our wrong, our sin, is separation from God forever (Romans 6:23).
But God loves you so much that He made a way for you to not have to be separated from Him!
Many, many years ago, God gave the Jewish people Laws that would order their lives so that they could honor Him. In those Laws, He made sacrifices so that their sins could be covered and they would have to be separated from Him (Hebrews 9:22). But God knew that this wasn't a permanent solution, so He sent His Son, Jesus.
Jesus was born on this earth about 2,000 years ago. He lived a perfect life. He never disobeyed His parents, He never stole, lied, cheated, or broke a promise. In fact, He kept all of God's Laws that He had sent so many years before. But there were people who hated Him. One day, they took Him and beat Him, and lied about Him, and spit on Him... And when they were done they hung Him on a cross to die the death of a criminal.
Now, at any point, Jesus, being God's Son, could have called on His Father to protect Him, or to send angels, and deliver Him. But Jesus willingly died that day, and took the punishment for our sin. He did that so that we could have a relationship with God!
If you haven't already, and want to, you have an opportunity to have a relationship with God, today! Please feel free to message us, so that we can have a conversation. Especially if you have any questions about this post, or any on our page!
How do we share the Gospel?
CEF employs a number of ways to share the Good News about Jesus! We do Good News Clubs after school, VBS's and children's church programs, and overnight camps, like Camp Good News! The entire time your child is involved in one of these activities, the Gospel is presented in songs, Bible lessons, missionary stories, memory verses, and even games!
"17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
~ Romans 10:17

Ministries - Child Evangelism Fellowship CEF has a number of unique ministries which have proven to be effective tools in our effort to evangelize and disciple children around the world.
Who is involved
CEF is able to function through the work of both paid and volunteer missionaries! These missionaries range in age and experience, with many starting as young as 12 years old, depending on the region they are volunteering in.
CEF trains these missionaries through programs like the Children's Ministry Institute (CMI), down in Missouri, and Christian Youth in Action (CYIA), a teen training camp that is held in nearly all 50 states and internationally as well. We also have online training options available!

What is CEF?
CEF, or Child Evangelism Fellowship, is an organization who's goal is to spread the Good News of Jesus to kids and families all over the world! In fact, that's the heart of our motto: Every child. Every nation. Every day.
At this point, there is only one country that CEF has not been able to gain access to entering - North Korea. But, we are praying (and we hope that you will be joining us in prayer) that God would open the doors for us to enter there as well!
Welcome to the CEF of Homer page! We are happy to have you join us. Before we start diving in to what CEF does locally, I think a bit of background is in order. Over the next couple of posts, that's exactly what we will be doing! Hope you'll stick around!
