Boeing: 1. WAY safer than any school I know. 2. They sure made it sound like there are ZERO excuses for people NOT to have jobs HOWEVER-3. They said “the workforce in SC just isn’t here. If we have to, and we do, we hire from OUTSIDE of SC as the skill set is not consistently here.” ?
Here’s my 1st potentially unpopular post. Put all adults in classrooms with kids for some portion of the day. 1/2 day teacher, 1/2 day “other”— yes, this means we will need more admin and guidance, but this would be awesome for the kids. Years ago a local private school called Pinewood preparatory school had an admin who always taught one class in addition to his various (and numerous) administrative duties. I’ve always thought this was a brilliant idea because hey then you can say to the teachers trust me I do “know” I’m in there doing it every day also. Passionate about teaching?
THIS is the new job I want as of JUST now. I want to be 1/2 admin and 1/2 classroom teacher. Hey parents? Are you done yelling? Gotta go, I have a class to teach. BRILLIANT!!!
