🌟 The 8,800 SF full-service Rialto Animal Hospital is comprised of ten dog-only or cat-only exam rooms, comfort rooms, a pharmacy, an in-house diagnostic laboratory, and X-ray and ultrasound technology that surround the treatment area/ICU "hub" of the facility. Housing for pre- and post-operative care also consists of a specialized isolation ward and a private cat-friendly room. Surgical and dental procedures are also accommodated. All treatment and surgical areas can be overlooked by staff from a centralized office space. Finally, promotes both client and patient comfort with warm and welcoming separated dog and cat waiting areas, a café, and an outdoor patio space.
🌞 With the unofficial start of summer comes the kickoff of vacation season, which means that pet care facilities giving our furry friends a home away from home are in high demand. 🐾🏨 As an example, take a look at the 18,700 SF Pleasant Paws Pet Center in , completed in the autumn of 2020. Here, Dr. Rakesh Vali provides “all pet solutions under one roof” for 🐶 dogs, 🐱 cats, 🐦 birds, 🦎 reptiles, and 🐭 pocket pets. The two-storied facility incorporates and training areas, grooming services, veterinary and rehabilitative care, and a retail component. 🐕 Canine amenities include indoor suites of three different layouts that are complemented by outdoor yards and an open-play daycare environment. 🐈 Cozy cat condos are located in a separate, quiet area from dog boarding to ensure comfort, safety, and security. 🧑⚕️ Veterinary areas are tailored to treatment for post-operative orthopedic care, traumatic injuries, arthritis, and canine obesity.

👋 MEET OUR TEAM: For decades, Richard Rauh has been a respected leader in facility design with a portfolio that includes numerous veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, and luxury pet boarding facilities alongside contemporary retail, office, and commercial centers. In 1984, he founded Rauhaus Architects in Southern California; as Design Director of that firm, he managed the entire design process of each project from schematic design through final construction. 📐✏️ In 2005, he joined forces with our now East Coast Principal Architect, Warren Freedenfeld, thus forming the partnership of Rauhaus Freedenfeld & Associates. 🤝 Richard’s work in planning, , and urban design has earned national acclaim. 🌟 His veterinary hospital designs have won five prestigious Hospital of the Year awards and many more merit awards from dvm360/Veterinary Economics. He is also a past recipient of the Richard Neutra Award for design excellence. His teaching and public leadership activities have made an indelible mark on the field of veterinary facility architecture. He taught architecture at Cal Poly Pomona, and, in addition, has lectured at veterinary conferences and participated in roundtable forums across the nation.
