👉🏼Probably not.

We who are gloriously born of the Holy Spirit of God are also genetically confirmed, card-carrying descendants of Adam. The Spirit enables us to live godly lives, but our tendency to do so is sporadic.💯

👉🏼While our spirit is often willing, the flesh remains weak.🤦🏻‍♀️

The Jekyll-and-Hyde syndrome 🙎🏻‍♀️😈 may be common to all mankind, but it is especially common to the redeemed. 2 natures in 1 body can make for an exhausting struggle.😰

John Calvin said, “There is not an atom of the universe in which you cannot see some brilliant sparks at least of His glory."

The earth, nature that surrounds us, the world—everything is full of God. Nature is a glorious theater, a spectacular sound-and-light show of the beauty of God. But nature is not God. To worship the whole or any part of nature is idolatry. To confuse God and nature is to fall into pantheism, an intolerable monism that obscures the distinction between creatures and Creator.

But the universe is God’s handiwork. It sparkles with the revelation of its Maker. It is not an independent entity existing alongside and apart from God. There is no dualism divorcing God from the world. The earth is the Lord’s.

Spend some time today enjoying the beauties of nature, remembering that the earth is the Lord’s.

In the same way the Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs.

If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy,missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose.

It is even doubtful, you know, whether the whole
universe was created for any other purpose. It says in the Bible that the whole universe was made for Christ and that everything is to be gathered together in Him.

God is SOOO good! He has given us another day in which to praise Him and tell others the message of His wonderful Gospel.

I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He has saved me from His wrath to come and has lavished me with His love, grace and mercy.

There is peace, gentleness, and humility offered by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When we partner with the Holy Spirit, we agree to come alongside and fellowship with Him; able to receive and respond to His prompting and direction.

Today is also a reminder to pray for your leaders, to be obedient to God, and to be always prepared to do good.

Seek the Lord in your life and in each situation.

Allow His Holy Spirit to guide you in how to prepare and/or serve in your community or church.

We are to offer our lives as living sacrifices...holy and pleasing to God. (Romans 12:1 paraphrased)

When you are in tune with God’s agenda, your prayers have the power of dynamite. Don’t ever say, “I’m just one.” From God’s point of view, one is plenty.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. James 3:9-10

Here is the beauty of a relationship with our God that is based not on our performance and behavior but rather on his grace, that is, his decision to love and forgive us unconditionally. Jesus came to this earth not to pin medals on spiritual superstars, but to rescue sinful and ashamed fools like you and me. He said once, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

When you are aware of your shortcomings, when your conscience makes you sick inside, when you are too ashamed to pray, that is the very best time to pray and claim the forgiveness that was bought for you for just such a time. God’s mercy is bigger than your sin. He will never despise a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17); in fact, his particular specialty is in healing broken hearts and providing rest for restless spirits.

Because of our sinfulness we have no knowledge of God, we are separated from Him, at odds.

There is now a barrier between us and God that would seek to keep us apart from Him, it would seek to have God forever turned away from us.

We are wandering aimlessly in nothingness, utterly lost. Blind. Broken. In total darkness. But the Good Shepherd of the sheep has come.

He has come to stop our wandering. He has come to lead us into His kingdom of Light, to unveil our eyes that we may see and to carry our brokenness, our sinfulness upon Himself.

Why?

To fulfill God’s purpose of redemption.

To bring us back to Himself by liberating us from satan.

No longer would we be friends with that crafty serpent, but because of God’s goodness, His love, His mercy and grace, we would now be friends with God.

He came to us and did what only He could do.

At some point in our lives, we all seek answers.

We seek to know more about something, or perhaps know something we could never learn on our own.

Any answer you have ever sought that means anything can be found in Christ. There is no limit to the "treasures of wisdom and knowledge" that are found in Christ Jesus - our Messiah and Savior.

"Full riches of complete understanding" come from experiencing a relationship with Jesus; through a life surrendered completely to Him.

Don't be deceived; Jesus is everything.

I tell you this day... What a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a Holy God on Judgment Day! He is a consuming fire and His wrath will burn for eternity. So AWAKE before it is too late! Repent and believe in Jesus Christ for today is the day of salvation. "Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!" 1 Cor 9:16

When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions. Blessed are those You choose and bring near to live in Your courts! We are filled with the good things of Your house, of Your holy temple. Psalm 65:3-4.

What a glorious thing to be chosen by God to be forgiven. That is truly blessed!

Backsliding....no such thing... "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." 1 John 2:19. Truth of Scripture.

Heart changing help will never be found in a set of insight and principles. Thus, we must not offer people a system of redemption.

We must point them to a Redeemer. Jesus Christ.

It is only in his power that we will find the hope and help we need to defeat the most powerful enemies.

Hope rests in the grace of the Redeemer. He is the only real means of lasting change.

He is Hope!
