Our belief is in supporting one another and our community and beyond regardless of our abilities or cultural differences. We grow vegetables in our community pea patch for those in need, help bake for the homeless meals served

Catchy tune!
The idea to write the song “Pray For Peace” came to me last year as I was walking on our place in Gallatin, Tn. For days I’d sing, “Pray for Peace”, over and over. It wasn’t until several months later did the other parts start to fall in place. Some, not until we got into the studio to record it.
I feel this song is a gift from God. I have never worked on a song as long as this one. It went from a bass drum, fiddle and singers to guest artist singing with me, adding more instruments and even a choir and a bagpipe!
It’s an act of perseverance, prayer, hope, fellowship and mostly love.

On 7/11 the Youth Landing had no meal. Both leaders for Youth Matters, Jennifer & Adora, volunteered to serve. That night the Youth at the Landing enjoyed a baked potato bar. We baked 20lbs of potatoes and for toppings the choices were butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, steamed broccoli, crumbled bacon, green onions, black olives, guacamole, sauteed onions and peppers, nacho cheese sauce and taco meat. All this along with fresh strawberries, milk and Sunny D were delivered that evening. It was a huge hit with the youth at the Landing. Something fun and new for them to enjoy!!
Redmond Derby days are coming up on the 10th and 11th of July:
On Saturday there is both a kids’ parade (10am) and grand parade (~11:10am), pancake breakfast for the early riser, community races, a carnival, eating contests, and fireworks at Redmond City Hall Campus (10pm). Admission for the event is free so be sure and see the Redmond Derby Days schedule of events for details!
We are sorry to announce there will be no Kid's Club this July. Due to many conflicts in schedules and some personal family matters the program cannot be staffed. Perhaps next year...
Way to go Adora! Representing Youth Matters; now that's a leader!
The Strawberry Festival booth is up and ready for tomorrow. If you have questions Laura will be there to help you with what you will be doing! Beaded bracelets/necklaces and sign ups for Kid's Club!! We picked up ball games, water balloons, bubbles w/toys, and have whirl and twirls, ribbon wands, along with paper planes to fly....if there is enough wind we may find a kite or two! Then for snacks there will be chicken nuggets w/tater tots, assorted pizza's, cut cantaloupe, fruit roll ups, Welches juices and Otter Pops! Tomorrow's end of the year party begins at noon! Let's have a blast playing outdoors together! Getting ready for summer! :)

Don't forget.....the final meeting for the year is this coming Sunday, June 14th! We plan on having tons of good food and play games - anyone like water balloons and bubbles? Let's end the year with a blast!!!
It has been another fun and eventful year with Youth Matters members. We supported the homeless youth monthly with our baked goods and then later our gelatin salads. There were stories told, lessons learned, crafts and activity packets completed. We also enjoyed our many group events together. It is only fitting we end the year with our last meeting being a party!!
Summer-time brings with itself unhurried mornings, restful afternoons, and leisurely evenings. We want you all to enjoy your time off and we will see you in the fall!!
June Schedule:
Sunday, June 7th NO MEETING
Sunday, June 14th from 12:00pm to 2:30pm

The last day of May.......shall we do some planting today? Is anyone coming to Youth Matters? The summer is calling and attendance is even been hard for the leaders with all the events happening!
One last time before the place closes! We had a blast!!
There is no youth meeting today in hope that you will find something to do to honor those who paid the ultimate price for our country. Happy Memorial Weekend!

We have a very odd schedule for meetings this May but we need attendees as there is tons to do!! So, be sure to put the below schedule on your calendar. Our first meeting will be at the regularly scheduled time. After that there is Mother’s Day May 10th. We need members to come early and to stay for Sunday services to help hand out flowers to all the Mom’s. Then add we have the Crop Walk coming up on May 17th and we still have funds to raise before that. There is also interest in finding a way we can do something to honor our Veterans for Memorial Day. Don’t forget we have our community garden to work on and games to play!! Be sure to come and be part of the fun.
