Chantel: no one is around her right now. I think we can fire
Samuel: you sure?
Chantel: yes, hurry!
Samuel aimed at Imari and shot her with a tranquilizing gun. Chantel quickly ran out of the car and carried her to the car
Samuel: where's her phone?
Chantel went through her bags and found her phone
Samuel: take off her watch and her phone and throw them out of the car
Chantel: okay
She did as told and after that Samuel drove away before students got out.

He drove to the abandoned hotel and carried Imari to the top floor of the hotel at room 37. This is the only room that is still in shape, he placed Imari on the bed and placed a cold bottle of water on the night stand in case she woke up. He looked at her and sighed
Samuel: it wasn't supposed to end like this princess
He kissed her forehead and left the room. He found Chantel standing outside and she turned to him.
Chantel: so what do we do now?
Samuel: we let Phillip and Cooper destroy each other
Chantel: what do we do to Imari?
Samuel: absolutely nothing.

Zane: what do you mean Imari didn't attend 2 classes?
Wayne: she wasn't here, I thought she went home because she was sick or something
Zane: no no no
He was pacing up and down and Wayne was starting to get worried
Wayne: we have 10 minutes before school ends, let's sneak out and see if she's outside school or anything
Zane: sneak out of school?
Wayne: yes, come quick I know a short cut.
Zane didn't have time to ask how he knew a short cut. He just took his things and followed Wayne. All teachers were at the staff room attending a meeting so it was easy to sneak out.

They got outside and looked around.
Wayne: she's not here
Zane: her phone, there's her phone
He went to pick up her phone and it was cracked, which was unlike Imari she takes extra care of her things.
Wayne: is this her watch?
Zane looked at the watch and his eyes widened, this is the watch Lucas gave them, it has a tracker and if pressed 3 times, it sends a signal for help. She would never leave this, the kidnapper was fast
Wayne: hey this looks like those things they use to make animals fall asleep. A bullet from a tranquilizing gun
Zane looked at it and indeed it was what Wayne was describing. His heart was pounding, mind was racing. He couldn't think straight.
Zane: thank you for your help Wayne, I think I'll take it from here
Wayne: what? I wanna help Imari is my friend. I can't just go without knowing what happened
Zane: I promise I'll update you. Now I really need to go home and I think you do too
Wayne: fine, but tell me everything
Zane: I promise

Wayne left then Zane took everything and went to his car. He drove home at full speed with no care whatsoever. He reached home and ran inside and he found Lucas on the couch and Phillip was about to leave
Zane: Imari has been kidnapped!!
They both turned to him in shock
Phillip: what do you mean?
Zane: her phone, her watch and this. Someone took her!
Lucas: this can't be happening.
Zane: we need to find her, do something
Phillip: Zane use those hacking skills to use and open her phone. Lucas I want you to send the bullet to the lab and see what they can find.
Lucas: on it
He took the bullet and went to the lab in the basement. Phillip was pacing up and down while Zane was hacking Imari's phone.
Zane: I'm in
Phillip: good, check her dial pad
Zane: she tried calling you
Phillip: damn, and check who's the last person she called
Zane checked and his jaw dropped
Zane: you won't believe this
Phillip: what is it?
Zane: the last person she called is Owen
Phillip: excuse me?
He felt his head spin, he looked at Zane and Zane showed him her call list. Owen was indeed the last person she called, but the call was less than 30 seconds, chances of Owen answering are low
Phillip: check the record, see if you can find anything
Zane did as told but he didn't find anything
Zane: no conversation was recorded, just Owen's voicemail
Phillip: he didn't answer his phone.

Lucas walked into the living room and sat down
Lucas: just a sedative, nothing poisonous
Phillip: thank god, tomorrow we're going back to Canada, Cooper wants to test me
Zane: dad how sure are we that it's Cooper?
Phillip: it is him, I know that for a fact. Get some sleep we leave early in the morning.
He stormed off upstairs, Lucas and Zane looked at each other and sighed
Zane: but what if it's not him? If we attack another war starts between them
Lucas: you know how dad is
Zane: I wish they could sit down and talk, fix things you know..
Lucas: why?
Zane: Imari loves that boy, she loves him a lot.
Lucas: she's too young to know what love is
Zane: I wish you could see how miserable she is, how much she misses him, how much this whole thing affected her. Pay attention Lucas, she changed
Zane said then went upstairs. Everyone has been focused on Imari breaking the one rule, training and everything. They don't realise how Imari never had the time to mourn her mother, both of them actually. They never got to mourn, never got to heal. And now they lost the people they loved. Even though Zane and Pamela haven't broken up yet, he feels the distance between them. Hopefully he'll see her tomorrow.

Owen went to the cafeteria, he got his lunch then walked out. He went to sit under a huge tree and started eating. He has thought about texting Imari, he misses her a lot.
Zoe: Owennn!!
Owen: (sighs) oh my fu***ng god
Zoe sat next to him and kissed his cheek.
Zoe: I missed you so much babe
Owen: I'm not your babe
Zoe: but we...
Owen: you said to date you if not you'll tell my dad about me and Imari right? You told my dad so I don't see the need to keep dating anymore. I don't like you Zoe, I don't have any feelings towards you except anger. You took away the only girl I love and I will never forgive you for that
Zoe: Owen we all knew that you and Imari weren't gonna go anywhere
Owen: you didn't know that! Just leave me alone please. I'm in no mood for you right now.
He got up and walked away, Zoe's heart broke. Even after everything, he'll still love Imari and not her. Well.. she's not gonna give up that easily.

Chantel: what do we do now?
Samuel: We try kidnapping Imari
Chantel: again?
Samuel: yes, this time Lucy is not here to protect her
Chantel: Imari has eyes on her 24/7 Phillip makes sure of that
Samuel: We'll get her while she's at school
Chantel: what's your plan?
Samuel: we already pinned Cooper and Phillip against each other. They'll never find out that I'm the one that killed their wives. Phillip will think this is Cooper's way to retaliate and they'll be at war
Chantel: which will distract them until the next package comes
Samuel: exactly, they'll get so distracted that they'll let their customers down, creating more enemies for them
Chantel: and more money for us
Samuel: exactly

Chantel smiled and Samuel went to get his laptop. He sat down next to Chantel and started typing something on his laptop
Samuel: we have one problem though
Chantel: and that is?
Samuel: David is out of jail too
Chantel choked on her saliva and looked at her brother eyes wide
Chantel: what do you mean? He was supposed to serve life in prison
Samuel: he got out a week ago
Chantel: this is bad, that man is heartless. He's a psychopath
Samuel: and he's out for blood. He already made his statement in the under world. He wants what belongs to him
Chantel: what do you think that is?
Samuel: Imari obviously, he is her biological father
Chantel: how are we gonna get to her? That man is fast
Samuel: we just need to be stealthy and fast. We need to be very careful. Imari's going to school tomorrow, we'll kidnap her then. David is still in Rome
Chantel: okay okay cool

Zane: so how does this work?
Phillip: this is your training center, you'll be learning how to use weapons
Imari: use weapons?
Phillip: guns and knives, bombs etc
Imari: excuse me, bombs?
Lucas: yes, besides that you'll learn how to dismantle bombs, hack into systems and all that
Imari: that sounds like a lot.
Phillip: here, this book is a summary of what you need to know about hacking. You'll start training tomorrow after school. You can go to sleep now

They went to their rooms and Imari answered her phone as it was ringing
Imari: hello?
Wayne: Imari this is Wayne, how are you?
Imari: oh hi, I'm good how bout you?
Wayne: I'm good, how are you feeling after yesterday?
Imari: I'm feeling better, thanks for asking
Wayne: you're welcome, can I ask you something?
Imari: sure
Wayne: do you mind being my tutor, I'm terrible at physics?
Imari: (smiles) that's cause you never attend classes
Wayne: (chuckles) yeah I know, my fault. I really need your help, do you mind?
Imari: sure I'll be your tutor
Wayne: (smiles) great. When can we start?
Imari: this weekend
Wayne: that's perfect, see you this weekend
Imari: I'll see you this weekend then, goodnight Me Brown

Owen woke up and went downstairs, he found his dad all ready for work. He didn't know what to do or say.
Cooper: let's sit down and talk
Owen just nodded and sat down at the dinner table with his dad.
Cooper: ask whatever you want to ask
Owen: how long have you been.. you know, a criminal?
Cooper: ever since my dad died, when I was 21
Owen: why did you become this?
Cooper: my dad was one. Phillip's dad, my dad, and Samuel's dad were all partners. In the same business as ours. So when they died during a mission we automatically had to take over.
Owen: why do you have beef with Imari's dad?
Cooper: like I said, he killed your mother
Owen: he wouldn't kill her just like that. What really happened?
Cooper: He stole my dad's watch, the only meaningful thing my dad gave me before he died.
Owen: how did he steal it?
Cooper: I don't know. His ex-wife was the one who found it in his drawer. I don't understand why he did it. We were best friends. I trusted him with everything, he knew how much that watch meant to me. And he took it, just like that.
Owen: since then there has been war?
Cooper: yes, I tried returning the favour. His dad left him something priceless, a diamond necklace he had made himself. I was planning to steal it but i couldn't find it anywhere, so I just burnt his house instead. We don't see eye to eye.
Owen: who is his ex-wife?
Cooper: a psycho named Chantel. She was crazy.
Owen: why did they get a divorce?
Cooper: it's a long story but to cut it short, Chantel was an absent mother. Spent all her time shopping and taking unnecessary trips she couldn't be there for her children. Phillip met Imari's mother and got a divorce with Chantel. Imari's mother was the total opposite. Lucy was an angel, I've never seen Phillip so happy with anyone. Lucy raised Lucas and Zane as their own kids.
Owen: do you think.. do you think you and Phillip could make up?
Cooper's face changed and he turned cold.
Cooper: no! We would never. Now that you know everything you'll start training. And we're never going to talk about Phillip and his family ever again!
Cooper stood up and headed out. Owen sighed and sat there. He's never gonna see Imari again.

Lucas: Chantel keeps sending threats. Sooner or later she'll be here
Phillip: and she won't come alone.
Lucas: dad, it's time we told Zane and Imari
Zane: told Zane and Imari what?
He said walking in. Lucas and Phillip turned to him in shock.
Phillip: how much did you hear?
Zane: the part where you have to tell us something
Phillip: where's Imari?
Zane: in her room. Now what is it that you guys have to tell us.
Phillip: Chantel is out of prison
Zane looked at him hoping that he was kidding. When he saw the serious look on his dad's face his face turned pale
Zane: how? When?
Lucas: a few days ago. She left early because of good behaviour
Phillip: which brings us to what we really are. We are drug dealers.
Lucas: we steal military weapons
Phillip: we sell diamonds on the black market.
Zane laughed, he laughed so hard his stomach started aching.
Zane: oh my gosh, that was really funny guys.
Lucas: Zane we're not joking. We killed people
Zane looked at them in shock. He just couldn't believe it.
Imari: you did what?
Everyone looked at her, she looked shocked.
Lucas: Imari we can explain
Zane: explain how you kill people, sell drugs, steal military weapons and sell diamonds on the black market!?
Phillip: can we all sit down
Imari: I need some air.
She walked out.
Zane: I'm not gonna lie, it feels like we don't know each other at all. It feels like you two are strangers.
Then after that he left. Phillip started pacing up and down.
Lucas: let's go explain
Phillip: they need some time for themselves, let's give them some space for now.
Lucas: what do we do about Chantel? What if she gets help from Cooper?
Phillip: Cooper has another thing coming if he thinks I'm gonna let him kill another one of my loved ones. We are going to get training to prepare ourselves

Zane didn't follow Imari. They both needed separate time for themselves. He felt overwhelmed, they never hid anything from them and this whole time they've been hiding something like this? Do they have any idea how that changes their lives? How are they supposed to carry on with their daily lives?

Imari slept throughout all her classes, her teachers were starting to get worried. During her last period, she fell asleep again after 4 attempts of waking her up. Mrs Linge sighed and walked over to her. She shook her gently and Imari woke up.
Mrs Linge: Imari this is the 5th time you've fallen asleep in class. Are you okay?
Imari: uhm, yeah yes I'm okay
Mrs: let's go talk outside. Uhm class that's a wrap for today you all can relax!!
The class cheered and Mrs Linge left the class with Imari.
Mrs Linge: let's go to my office.
They went to her office and Mrs Linge set Imari down in front of her.
Mrs Linge: I know you just started here yesterday, but you didn't fall asleep in class like that yesterday. All the teachers are saying the same thing. Are you okay Imari?
What was she supposed to say to that question? "No I'm not okay, my mother died 3 days ago and I had to move away the day after" "My ex boyfriend's dad killed my dad" "I lost the love of my life" she couldn't say any of that. So to that question all she could say was...
Imari: I'm fine Mrs Linge, maybe I'm just a little bit tired
Mrs Linge: little is an understatement, should I call your dad to come pick you up? You hardly focused during your classes today
Imari: no, you really don't have to
Mrs Linge: look at your eye bags. I have to Imari I'm sorry. Sleep is very important, you need to take a break. I'm giving you 2 days off of school, I'll talk to your principal.
Imari couldn't say anything, 2 days off of school did sound nice. But she wasn't ready to face her dad. Mrs Linge called her and Imari fell asleep on the couch that was in Mrs Linge's office.

The sound of people talking woke her up, she opened her eyes and rubbed them before her eyes could focus on who was in the room. It was her dad, Zane and Mrs Linge. Zane saw that she was awake and he sat next to her.
Zane: why didn't you tell me you weren't feeling okay?
Imari: I'm fine, just a little bit tired.
Phillip: thank you Mrs Linge, I'll make sure she gets the rest she deserves. And thank you for giving her 2 days off
Mrs Linge: oh it's okay
The three left Mrs Linge's office and the tension could be cut with a knife. Zane walked them to Phillip's car, when they got there he hugged Imari and kissed her forehead.
Zane: get well soon, okay?
Imari: I will, thank you.
Zane left and Imari and Phillip got in the car. They drove to their home in silence, that was a first.
They got home and Imari got out of the car first then Phillip followed.
Phillip: uhm here is your phone
Imari: thank you
Phillip: and I rushed to the pharmacy to get you sleeping pills when your teacher called me. Why can't you sleep?
Imari: sleep paralysis again
She wasn't lying completely, she did have sleep paralysis last night.
Imari: and also the nightmares.
Phillip sighed and nodded.
Phillip: I'm sorry about that, go upstairs and change and I'll make you your favourite lunch before I go to work.
That actually brought a smile to Imari's face, she went upstairs and changed into her pajamas then she went downstairs.
Phillip was busy in the kitchen while Imari was watching her favourite movie. After some time Phillip walked to the living room with Imari's food and placed it on the table.
Imari: (smiles) thank you.
Phillip: you're welcome, your snacks are also in the kitchen. Zane will be back from school in an hour will you be okay?
Imari: yes I will, thank you
Phillip: okay I'm going to work now.
He left, Imari took her phone and dialed Owen's number but it didn't go through. Did he block her?

Cooper: Owen come down here!
Owen rubbed his eyes and went downstairs, he was in his pajamas and was super tired. For the first time ever, he didn't have energy for his dad.
Owen: (yawns) wassup?
Cooper: why did I receive a call from your school saying you weren't at school today?
Owen: dad I really don't want to talk about this
Cooper: no, sit down and talk. Why did you skip school? I feel like I don't even know you anymore
Owen: you feel like you don't know me? I feel like I don't know you. You leave early in the morning and come home late at night! The only reason we actually get to talk is because I stay up all night waiting for you to come back. Being a business man doesn't take 20 hours a day dad. I don't know anything about you! What do you really do? It can't be work
Cooper looked at Owen who looked mad.
Cooper: follow me
Owen looked lost. But followed his dad to the basement. He has never been here before.

The room was full of guns and weapons. There were stacks of gold and diamonds. Owen looked at his dad in shock, he couldn't believe his eyes.
Owen: dad what is this?
Cooper: you are right, I'm not just a business man.
Owen: you're a diamond smuggler? A gold smuggler? You steal weapons from the military? What the hell is going on?
He said walking around
Cooper: a smuggler? Oh no. I own 2 unknown mines. But yes I do steal weapons from the military
Owen: why?
Cooper: Because, I need their weapons in order to defeat them.
Owen: I don't understand
Cooper: and I'm a drug dealer. I also know that you have been buying from Nigel.
Owen looked away and swallowed.
Owen: I'm sorry
Cooper: why?
Owen: a way to cope with everything.
Cooper: there are many ways to cope Owen.
Owen: I know dad. I'm trying to be better.
Cooper: I'll tell you everything tomorrow. You can go to bed. Never skip school again Owen.

Owen went to his room and sat there thinking. His dad is a criminal?

Owen woke up very early, he went to take a shower, he got ready and took his wallet and car keys. He wanted to leave without seeing his dad. His eyes were sore from all the crying. He didn't bother eating breakfast, he got in his car and drove out. He went downtown to the club he went to and ordered a couple of drinks.
Roger: shouldn't you be at school?
Owen: please, just give me my bottles
Roger: Your dad will kill me...
Owen: he won't know anything, now please..
Roger sighed and went to get him his drinks. Owen drank his heart out. He didn't know what else to do, his heart was broken. His thoughts were consumed. He lost the love of his life. He pulled out his second phone and called his plug
Nigel: Owen! So long since I heard from you
Owen: I need a brick
Nigel: I thought you quit
Owen: just took a break.
Nigel: will you be able to meet me at 9am?
Owen: of course, you'll text me
Nigel: cool.
Owen hung up and finished his bottle of vodka. Yes he does co***ne, and his dad doesn't know and he's not supposed to know. It's bad enough his dad considered taking him to rehab because of his drinking problem.

Cooper woke up and got ready. He went downstairs expecting to see Owen but he wasn't downstairs. He went to check him in his room but still he wasn't there
Cooper: dammit Owen
He went to his car and drove to work.

Meanwhile, Imari walked into her first class. She couldn't talk to anyone in the morning, she couldn't face her dad. She sat at the back and could barely focus in class. She was about to fall asleep when she heard someone sit down next to her
Mr Edward: Mr Brown, it's so nice of you to finally join us. It's not like you are 30 minutes late or anything.
Imari couldn't even look at who was next to her. She heard a boy chuckle and said "Mr Edward, still the same as last year I see"
Mr Edward got back to teaching and Imari was about to fall asleep again, she has never been so bored in a science class.
??: Hi, I'm Wayne
Said the boy next to her. She looked and saw a cute guy with green eyes.
Imari: Hi, I'm Imari.
Wayne: you look tired Imari
Imari: I am, I want to go home so bad
Wayne: I understand, you new here? I've never seen you before
Imari: yep, just started yesterday.
Wayne: welcome to Greenwich high
Imari: thank you, I'm so happy to be here
Wayne: (chuckles) you'll love it
The day went by fast and by the time they knew it, it was break time. Wayne went off to his friends and since Imari didn't have any friends she walked with Zane to go meet his friends.
Imari: this is so awful
Zane: what's awful about sitting with your brother at break?
Imari: I'm the sister who's glued to her brother because she's too awkward to make any friends!
Zane: (chuckles) that's funny, and we're the same age. It's not a big deal
Imari: yes it is
Zane just shook his head and chuckled as they walked in the cafeteria.

Logan: have you guys seen Owen today?
Taylor: no, and it's weird. He would've told us if he wasn't coming to school.
Logan: come to think of it, he didn't answer our texts at all last night
Taylor: let me try his second phone
Logan: he told us to never call him on that phone
Taylor: we don't exactly have a choice, do we?
He said calling the phone. It rang but no one answered.
Taylor: well he definitely has his phone on him. He always shuts it down if he leaves it at home.
Just then Zoe came to them and they mentally rolled their eyes.
Zoe: hey guys, have you seen Owen? He was supposed to pick me up today
Logan: no, he's not in school today
Zoe: what? You're lying he would've told me
Taylor: why would he tell you?
Zoe: I'm his girlfriend duhhh
Logan: right, and he's soo in love with you
They laughed and Zoe stomped and rolled her eyes.
Zoe: I don't appreciate your sarcasm. Next time you see him tell him he owes me a spa day.
She said walking away. The boys rolled their eyes and walked to the grounds.

Taylor: I'm starting to get worried. He's still not answering
Logan: this is concerning, who knows what he could be doing?
Taylor: Imari moving affected him a lot
Logan: I know, I saw a bottle of vodka in his car. If his dad finds out he's dead.
Taylor: I have a bad feeling about this, let's sneak out.
Logan: now?
Taylor: yes, look we both know what Owen is capable of. And I don't know about you but I definitely don't want to see him in a hospital bed again because of an overdose
Logan: and his dad doesn't know about that. Damn we need to go now.
They went to the back of the school. There's a passage they used to sneak out of and they used it.
Taylor: you think we can go to the parking lot without being spotted?
Logan: yeah definitely, it's break time and all teachers are in the staff room.
They ran to the parking lot and got in their cars then they drove out. Taylor called Logan and Logan connected him to his car.
Taylor: I'm tracking him, follow me okay?
Logan: okay cool, where does the tracker say he is?
Taylor: don't be disappointed
Logan: can't be that bad, right?
Taylor: he's downtown, that club
Logan: oh no, let's hurry up bro, we don't know how long he's been there.
They arrived at the club and rushed out. They met Roger on the way in.
Roger: hey guys, looking for Owen?
Logan: yes, he's here right? Please don't tell us he did anything stupid
Roger: he's upstairs in his usual room. He came here early, I was surprised.
Taylor: what did he do?
Roger: just came here for drinks, but he left the club around 9am and I had to follow him because he was drunk and it wasn't safe. He went to meet Nigel, I was disappointed. I managed to convince Nigel to not sell anything to Owen, I didn't want him to relapse.
Logan: Roger I wish I could kiss you right now, you saved our best friend!!
Taylor: dude!
Logan: you know what I mean!
They laughed
Taylor: but really man, thank you for saving Owen.
Roger: Owen is my friend, he's dear to me. I had to
They thanked him again and then they went upstairs. Taylor walked in first but before Logan could go in Roger grabbed his arm.
Roger: you almost slipped
Logan: I know I'm sorry
Roger: it's okay, just don't do it again.
Logan: I won't I promise.
Roger smiled then they went in.
Taylor: his dad can't know
Roger: it's kind of difficult since my dad and his dad are meeting here later
Logan: when is later?
Roger: after school, as soon as he wakes up, we all have to leave.
Taylor: you haven't told your dad that you've been working here?
Roger: well... No
Logan: he's gonna kill you
Roger: let's not talk about him. I'll deal with the security cameras.
Logan: I'll help you, Taylor you'll watch Owen right?
Taylor: yes, just erase the footage fast.
Logan and Roger rushed to the security room, luckily no one was there. Roger closed the door and locked it then he pinned Logan to the wall and kissed him.
Roger: I missed you
Logan: (blushing) I missed you too. Now stop distracting me and let's deal with the footage..

It's been a week since Imari and her family moved and Owen feels empty. It doesn't help that Zoe is always glued to her, he can't get some alone time anymore.

It was lunch time and he was at the benches looking at the pictures and videos of him and Imari. He smiled to himself reminiscing about all those days, when he was happy. Zoe sat next to him and got angry seeing what he was looking at
Zoe: Owen!!
Owen: oh my gosh what is it?
Zoe: why are you looking at those pictures? You are supposed to be my boyfriend.
Owen: and I am, aren't I? I do everything you ask Zoe. I pick you up at school, hold all your books, bring you lunch and drive you home. Is that not what you asked for?!
Zoe: you're supposed to be in love with me!!
Owen: I don't love you Zoe! That's the thing. I don't love you, I will never love you and you can't force me to love you.
He was about to leave but then Zoe held his sleeve.
Zoe: you're making a huge mistake Owen.
Owen: I don't care anymore. I'm going to class, bye.
He left and Zoe sat there angry. Imari always ruins things for her!!

It was after school now and Imari went to Zane's car and waited there. She got on her phone and smiled seeing texts from Owen. They chatted for a while and when Zane came to the car Imari put her phone away.
Zane: so.. how was your first day?
Imari: just okay, not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. And I see you've made some friends already.
Zane: well of course, I mean I am a cool guy
Imari rolled her eyes as Zane drove to their home.
Zane: but if you ever feel anxious just come sit with me okay? I know you don't do well with crowds
Imari: (smiles) thank you Zane, I appreciate it
Zane: don't sweat it.
They arrived home and found no one at home. They used Zane's spare key to get in.
Imari: I have a s**t load of homework to do. Who gets homework on their first day?
Zane: (laughs) damn that's sad. Well go upstairs, I'll cook dinner
Imari: thank you so much
Imari rushed upstairs and Zane smiled. She got to her room and talked to Owen, it felt really refreshing. After talking to him she took a shower and wore her pajamas. She then started doing her homework.

Owen was eating popcorn and watching a movie when his father stormed in looking very angry.
Owen: her dad, wassup? Had a bad day at work?
Cooper: Owen!
Owen: okay must've been a really bad day, you look furious.
Cooper: Owen what did I say about the Williams?
Owen's heart started beating fast but he remained calm.
Owen: that they are our enemies
Cooper: so tell me why, after I told you that, you go ahead and date their daughter
Owen: I don't know what you're talking about
Cooper: don't fu***ng lie to me Owen!!
He said throwing his phone next to Owen.
Cooper: explain these!
Owen's eyes widened as he saw pictures of him and Imari, at their cabin. At the beach late at night and also at Zoe's party.
Owen: (shaking) where did you get these?
Cooper: does it really matter? I asked you for one thing Owen! One thing! And that is to never associate with the Williams and what did you do? You go and date their daughter!
Owen: dad I can explain..
Cooper: explain Owen! Explain to me how you could fall for the enemy!!
Owen: I love her dad I..
Cooper: give me your phone!
Owen: what?
Cooper: YOUR PHONE, NOW
Owen swallowed and gave his dad his phone. He has never seen his dad so angry and it scared him. He was close to crying.
Cooper: done! You are never to talk to her again!
He followed his dad to the kitchen
Owen: dad this is not fair. Why should the beef you have with her dad affect our relationship?
Cooper: I don't want to talk about it Owen
Owen: no dad tell me! I WANT TO KNOW!
He was crying right now. His dad turned to him and looked at him dead in the eye. It was the first time he has seen his dad so emotionless.
Cooper: Phillip Williams killed your mother, your "girlfriend's" dad killed your mother Owen.
Owen felt his heart drop. He staggered back shaking his head slowly
Owen: no... No you're lying.
Cooper: I wish I was lying. He killed her. Do you want to associate with them? That family is tight, I have no doubt that Imari knows about this.
Owen: no.. she, she couldn't..
Cooper: Yes she does. Who's close to their step dad like that?
Owen: that doesn't prove anything.
Cooper: think about it.
Owen stormed up to his room crying. He knew that Zoe was the one who sent those pictures to her dad. But he couldn't focus on that now. Could it really be true that Imari knew this whole time? "Our relationship is the only thing I've ever had to lie about to my family " "we share everything in my family, we don't have any secrets" "I don't even have a diary, I talk to my family about everything "
Words by Imari keep playing in his mind. Could it be that Imari's stepdad planned this? He wanted Imari to get close to him so that he could get more information about his dad. Plus he's a bad boy, a sweet girl like Imari would never go for a bad boy.
Owen: (sobs) why am I so stupid
Those thoughts he filled in his head were kind of making sense to him. And he felt so stupid for falling in love with Imari.

Zane was dishing up for everyone. Lucas was home now and Imari was still doing her homework. Phillip walked in the house looking upset.
Lucas: dad, you okay?
Phillip: I'm static. IMARI! IMARI!
Imari heard her dad calling her from downstairs. She placed her things down and went downstairs.
Imari: hey dad...
He was cold, which shocked everyone.
Phillip: Imari, sit down let's talk.
Imari was confused. She did as told and looked at Phillip.
Imari: did I do something wrong?
Phillip: when were you going to tell us that you've been going out with Owen Thompson
Lucas: what!
Zane: dad you must be mistaken, if Imari was going out with him she would have told us. Actually no, she wouldn't go out with her at all!
Imari didn't know what to do or think. She couldn't look at anyone in the eye.
Phillip: Imari, explain to me why Zoe sent me these pictures.
Her heart was pounding as she saw the pictures of her and Owen. Lucas and Zane turned to her in shock!
Imari: I can explain
Phillip: you know that anyone from the Thompson's is off limits. A no go zone. You disobeyed my instructions. I know I can't control who you date but I specifically asked you to stay away from that boy.
Imari: but dad I.. I love him
Phillip: you are 16, what do you know about love?
Imari: I know that he makes me happy dad! And I don't think it's fair that our feelings have to be compromised because of some beef you have with his dad
Phillip: Imari you are going to stay away from that boy!
Imari: dad I love him!
Phillip: and I do not care. I set my foot down on this one and I will be confiscating your phone!
Imari had tears in her eyes.
Imari: no
Phillip: no?
Imari: yes dad, I said no!
Phillip: Imari you are testing me!
Imari: Owen and I...
Phillip: OWEN'S DAD KILLED YOUR MOTHER
They all turned to him in shock, Imari felt tears stream down her cheek
Imari: no..
Zane: I..
Phillip: he killed her. And I have no doubt that Owen knows that
Imari: no dad you're lying!
Phillip: Owen goes everywhere his father goes. Cooper tells Owen everything. They know everything about each other, am I wrong?
"There's really nothing i don't know about my dad" "my dad and I do everything together" "we are literally the same person" Owen's words ran through her head. She held the necklace he gave her as her heart started beating fast. She was crying uncontrollably.
Phillips: I know this hurts Imari, but Owen's dad did kill your mom and I have no doubt that Owen knows about it. His dad probably sent him to date you, so he could get some information out of you about information about our family.
Imari: (sobs) no..

Zane held her as he looked at his dad completely speechless, what he said did make sense, but it was too much for Imari. She broke free from Zane and ran upstairs to her room. She locked her door and slid down crying loudly. What was she thinking? The popular bad boy falling in love with a nerd like her? It didn't make sense.
Imari: why did you have to hurt me like this?
She hugged her knees and continued to cry. Meanwhile downstairs Zane was pacing up and down.
Zane: that hickey we saw, do you think it's from him?
Lucas: without a doubt
Zane: oh no, and did cooper really?
Phillip: yes he did Zane, I didn't want the truth to come out like this but it had to somehow.
Zane: what are we gonna do about Imari?
Phillip: we'll find out later. Let's allow her to calm down right now.
Phillip went to his study, somehow he couldn't seem to not think about what Imari said, she loves him?
