having lots of fun experimenting with new things and types of music at the moment and I feel like things are finally starting to come together. releasing music is a challenging thing to do when you don’t really know where you’re heading, but I’m slowly learning what is me and what isn’t so I’m just trying to take the pressure off to bring you new music without having it all figured out 🤍

been really thinking about purpose as an artist at the minute and it was staring me in the face the whole time. what makes me who I am is the inherent fact that I don’t have it figured out yet, and that is ultimately something I’ve tried to disguise for years. accepting that was such a huge step and always is when you surrender to the fact you might not be sorted yet. I hope help a few people on here with my journey by being as open as possible and being as real as I know how to be, so hopefully some people can make the same powerful realisation I have 🤍

NEW NAME ANNOUNCEMENT: From today artistically I will be going under the name Sam Bayford for all future posts and releases. So the name of this page will be changing to sam_bayford_ too.

A lot of what I do and take inspiration from is going back to roots and my early stages in various areas of life, Bayford was the name of the house I was born into in Stroud, Gloucestershire and was always iconic to me and was the perfect identity for me to adopt that felt true and real to me and my work. I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve been up to, new music and music video already finished and ready to go so keep your eyes peeled 👀

I can’t wait to start this new chapter moving back to London in September, so here’s to 2022/23 🖤⚡️
