Sometimes we even have to slay monsters on our day off. Godzilla didn't stand a chance 🙂.
There is no perfect time to do anything, all we have is this moment and how we choose to show up, harnessing our courage and stepping out in faith.

On days like today I really take stock of the power of the girl dad ☺️. Your role is incredibly important because in your every action you can inspire your daughters to dream, demand and expect the very best.
In the simple acts of performing care work, doing dishes, grocery shopping, doing hair, extra curricular activities pickups, you have sparked a revolution. Your time to see my games and debate the best cartoons and the worst politicians has taught me that I can be more than one thing and my voice and opinions matter. You have shown me that I need not do anything or be anything to deserve love. This is the power of the girl dad.

Happy Father's Day! to all the fathers and father figures out there doing their best to make the world a better place for the next generation.

I've been thinking about what digital well-being means for me. I've noticed that depending on the information consumed on social platforms my mood can shift negatively, so I have to be careful with my choices. I've noticed that sometimes I use the posts/ pages that give me a mood boost as a distraction, to avoid my feelings or to avoid doing things I should do; so I have to guard my time. I've noticed that working long hours can get things done but there is a price, sometimes that is expectation, sometimes that is burnout.
So I've made a small "easy" list in an effort to manage my digital well being, wish me luck. At the very least I'm paying attention.
Feel free to share your thoughts and tips.

Nothing cranks up discomfort and anxiety like failure and underperformance. When we are young we are brave in our efforts and failure is the fuel that motivates us; as we get older we fear the process and we despise the setbacks because we are led by ego instead of curiosity.
There is no escaping failure, the question is do we dwell or do we tweak our formula and fail forward?

Thanks for attending my Pep talk the very distant cousin of TED talk 😉

It's hump day or slump day...
What's been getting under your skin? Believe it or not there's a lesson there, a call to action. Why do those particular words sting, why do you shy away from certain situations...
I too am looking in the mirror...

From the very beginning this is the game we play with our mothers and it is through their example and response that we learn critical lessons. We learn that limits and boundaries are important for our physical and mental wellbeing. We also learn that curiosity and tenacity can be the driver of development and personal growth.

Mothering is a lifelong and oftentimes grueling job and in order to continue to give so much it is important to find time for rest and for play.

Today I honour my mother, my grandmothers and all the mothers and mother figures out there who have taught us to set boundaries, break barriers and to make time for the things that make us happy.

Happy Mother's Day💐

Hello May.

The theme for May Day this year is "the time is now" The time is now to appreciate that each person is required for the team to win, that new perspectives bring new insights and that places of work should feel safe and provide equal opportunity to reach our full potential.

May is also child month so the time is now to build a better brighter future.

I've been thinking about this over the weekend. Sure we have plenty to be worried about but if we are honest there are still opportunities to enjoy the moment and erupt in laughter.
But weirdly happiness can come with guilt for feeling that way while there is so much despair or fear that it is just the pit stop before we arrive at sadness.
Does seeing others happy make us resentful or does it feel like permission to do the same?
Feel free to share your thoughts...

...release the beliefs about ourselves and others that no longer serve us, to reacquaint ourselves with hope, to reflect on the changes we want to make, to give praise to God for the lessons that have prepared us to receive the desires of our heart..
