We won the British Gorkhali Cricket League (BGCL) 2022 season and successfully managed to defend the title. A very done to all the players who took part on NYCC's journey this season. Many congratulations to Prakash Bista for winning the Player of the Series and Best Batter awards of the Peepal Nepal T20 cup tournament.👏👏👏

Great to finish the Peepal Nepal T20 cup as a runners up. It was a hot day and great effort give by all the players. Also thank you very to Watermelon Mortgages for sponsoring the fruits, drinks and athletic supplements for the match. We lost the final by 3 runs and the winner was Himalayan Cricket Club🤝🏏 A true nail biter that stretched until the last over. Congratulations to everyone who were involved organising the event. 👏

2 big wins for us yesterday at Peepal Nepal T20 cup pliminary group stages at Reading CC, where we scored the highest score of the tournament i.e. 249 against Ramailo Cricket Club while batting first. Prakash Bista scored 92 and Grg G.B. (Gam Gurung) scored 63. In addition, Subash Gurung and Som Thapa Magar both also scored 30+ runs. Bowlers also did well to restrict the opponents at 142 runs, winning the 1st Match by over 100 runs.

At second match, NYCC lost the toss and sent to do the field first. Bowlers did well to all out the opponents Himalayan cricket CLUB at 103 runs in 20 overs with 5 wickets haul for Prakash Bista. In return, we chased the target in 18 overs with some good precise bowling from the opponents.

Next Sunday on 17th July, we will be facing Queens Gurkha Signals Cricket Club at semi finals.

A critical league survival win for us against the Khukuri Cricket CLUB in week 7 of the fixtures. Special mention goes to Skipper Prajwal who batted well to score 45 runs alongside Som Magar (37 runs) and Phurba Lama (35* runs) to win the match for the team. In addition, 3 wickets for the Prakash Bista and 2 wickets for the Prajwal Rai. Very well done to all for the hardwork. 👏🇳🇵🏏🇬🇧

Congrats to Himalayan cricket CLUB on winning Match 5 of BCGL vs NYCC. Good Performances from Opponents and Gam Gurung from NYCC by hitting fifty on the day to keep the match alive. NYCC also welcomed two new players(Muskan Limbu and Dabish Karki) debuted on the day. Himalayan CC (182/6) beat NYCC (143 All out) by 39 Runs.
