Girls cross country: Sandwich sophomore Sunny Weber is the Record Newspapers athlete of the year Sandwich sophomore Sunny Weber, who won conference, regional and sectional championships and broke a school record in taking third at state, is the Record Newspapers girls cross country Athlete of the Year.

Proud is an understatement!! Sunny placed 3rd at STATE with an impressive new school record 16:40 for 3 mile!! Wow!!! That is 5:33 per mile!! Incredible achievement!! Thanks to all that came out to support!!

Marmion runs to boys title at Class 2A Woodstock Sectional; Sandwich’s Sunny Weber wins girls race Marmion's boys win the Class 2A Woodstock Cross Country Sectional title; Sandwich's Sunny Weber runs away with girls title. Kaneland also qualifies as a team while Sycamore qualifies two boys runners.

14 out of 20 performances ran a course PR from 2 seconds to 3 minutes faster!! WOW

Girls team with an Impressive 2nd place as a team behind a good Woodstock team! Boys team placed 5th overall as a team.

Cardio Queen: Sunny was determined to push for the record and was challenged along the way but never gave up. Great race to watch.

Cardio King: Nigel was sensational on Saturday, he battled from the beginning of the race and was on a mission. Nigel is one of the hardest worker on the team and so driven to be the best he could.
