Double side necklace. Which one is your favorite?
PJ Roosty (Pyjama Rooster) was just a little chick when he realized he loved two things: music and flower-patterned pyjamas. Everyone told him he would never become a renowned DJ if he kept going around in pyjamas. But PJ Roosty followed his dream with determination, learned how to mix music, and even got a nose piercing. Now he's one of the best DJs in his village, and all the chicks are crazy about him. He created a new trend and proved once more that following your dreams can bring you happiness and success. โค๏ธ
This is Gustav, but friends and family usually call him Gusti. He is ready to support his fish-friends this weekend, at the Polymer Weekend event. Oh! Don't let yourself be fooled by his rather big beak, Gustav is raw vegan, so the fishes are totally safe around him. He only eats pistachios and golden raisins on Sundays.
Since today was the first day of spring, his birdy fellows will soon join him.
Square, triangular or organic shaped fish. What do all these guys have in common? They are all made of Cernit clay and ready to meet you at the Polymer Weekend Online on 2nd and 3rd of March and reveal all the secrets about how they were created.
Until then, we must thank Cernit https://www.cernit-world.com/en/polymer-clay/ for their big support of the future event and to Lucy and her PolymerWeek.com team for bringing them into the spotlight.
Oh! Have I told you they are not just fish, but fish-brooches? Yes, yes, humorous, colorful accessories!
Hope to meet you at a super fun event! โค๏ธ

A few weeks ago, I received an incredible invitation from Lucy: to teach alongside 5 talented and well known polymer clay artists at Polymer Weekend Online.
I would be thrilled if I could meet you, even just online, on March 2nd and 3rd for this event. The project I will teach is a colorful, humor-sprinkled brooch in the shape of a fish.
It's a project that combines decorative, mixed media surface techiques with some technical aspects that explore the possibility of combining several hollow, complemetary shapes. Definitely an open-ended project, as it offers multiple possibilities in terms of shape and color. Once you grasp the technique, you'll be able to create your own fish, in your chosen shape and color palette. Just a fish? Almost certainly not.
You can find all the details for the event here: https://www.polymerweek.com/polymer-weekend-online
Will you join us?
Better beads make better pendants โฅ๏ธ and better pendants are worth all the hard work!
Many thanks to Dan Cormier!
Believe it or not, I actually went to work wearing a cat-brooch. Guess what? I was surrounded by smiles and giggles.
I realized once more that you can't ignore a cat! :)
I am happy you are here and excited you have included me in your wonderful pages!
A high end magazine designed for polymer clay artists, artisans and enthusiasts! How could you not love it? How could you not smile when you see it on your table?
Many thanks to everyone in the PolymerWeek.com team! A great job...you did it again! โฅ๏ธ๐ค๐ผ

When I started making this pendant I was sure it would be a piece of cake. Guess what! Because of a brain fart I had (yep...it often happens to me ๐) I almost ruined it. But after a small change of plan I managed to fix it and this is how the red nose appeared.
I guess these happy little accidents are the salt and pepper of the creative process.
Lady caterpillar.
What do you associate spring with? Youth? Freshness? Brightness? Maybe these terms are a bit evasive? Let's try again: a small, cute caterpillar recharging its batteries while taking a sunbath on a crunchy blade of grass. Fizzy picture? Suited for a fizzy necklace ๐
Are you curious about the steps of the craft journey that helped me create these vivid, cheerful beads? Join us on March 11th for an on-line meeting when I will share some tips and tricks that I have discovered about hollow forms in polymer clay. Can't wait to meet you! โฅ๏ธ

Thanks to Lucy PolymerWeek.com and Delia Delline Designs - Handmade Jewelry, my small collection of brooches "Constellation" is beautifully described in this article โฅ๏ธ
Such a nice way to end my day! ๐ฅฐ
It makes us incredibly happy when we see artistsโ artwork made by using our products! ๐ค
Marina Andreiโs recent well-designed brooches were made by using Texture Stamps and Silkscreens designed by Lucy Struncova of Polymer Week, yet Marina added a personal touch to each piece, amazing!
We were captivated by this collection from the moment we laid our eyes on it and today on our blog we share a great article about Marinaโs process of their creation. Donโt miss it! โญ๏ธ

Bonjour Mademoiselle!
Today is the first day of spring, so let's greet it with a warm smile, positive thoughts and a delicate pink outfit.
How do you beat the "feeling down" mood? Here is my recipe: good music, good/ bad/ stupid jokes and optimistic color palettes.
This is another soon to be "wearable piece of happiness"
Constellation - a mini collection of polymer clay brooches
This is for you, you endless, cold, hazy, humid, rainy, cloudy winter: a bunch of colors in your face!
Now I feel revenged!
Defying winter - polymer clay colorful brooches.
The right name for this necklace would obviously be "Bullseye" (I know, D. ๐ ). But seeing O's reaction today ๐ค (Wow, this is so pretty....it goes well with everything....with any plain color!) I decided to change it into "Everyday".
I think it could be the saver for those everyday mornings when you wake up late, none of your pretty blouses is clean and ironed and all you can grab is a lousy, banal T-shirt.
Please, don't tell me you don't know what I mean....๐
Here it is, my first necklace for 2023. It was one of my entries for the January challenge "Dots and circles". I haven't won the competition, but I took it as a good opportunity to turn back into my studio after the winter holiday.
I don't know about you, but now that holidays are over I would gladly step directly in the middle of the summer :)
This one is called "Pool Party" because I would pair it with a white linen dress, a glass of Campari Spritz and a good splash of laughs and fun ๐๐
๐โค๏ธ๐Be merry and happy! Crฤciun fericit!๐โค๏ธ๐
For those moments when you need to cheer up. Nothing serious, nothing perfect, just a bunch of funny cats. But cats are always funny. And they always cheer me up. Except when they terrorize my Christmas tree :)
It seems that my inspirational muse always hides in the box of scraps. This time I found her playing with the copper wire.
And while many of my designs remain prototypes, I will definitely continue to explore some other possibilities for this brooches.
Bigger? More colorfull? Shinier? Metal leaf? All of the above?
Listening to Pink Floyd and working for the Blurred Lines Student Showcase led me to this retro, psychedelic pendant. I will call it The 70s.
Talking about witchcraft, spells and magic? Welcome home, my little light magic box...you have enlightened my background ๐

Witchcraft necklace. Time for potions, dark spells and magic amulets. Beware, witches are gathering tonight!

I couldn't throw away the leftovers. I will put them in my ears. Today.
Spacecraft.
Cool colors. Because they are literally cool colors . Or maybe because they look awesome ๐.
I was thinking about cool filters. But there is no filter here ๐
Autumnfest. A dance of ripe fruits and falling leaves. Swirling in a warm October air.
Fall(-ing). Autumn just rang at my door.
Please do not disturb! The new Polymer Week magazine is here and is awesome! ๐๐๐โฅ๏ธ
I was already making some glass beads necklaces when I decided to try polymer clay. People around me might have thought : "yeah, Marina....fooling around with her ideas, wasting her time..." In fact, I think I made a big step, moving from just stringing/ sewing to actually creating something. I am glad I had the courage to give a chance to an inner call.
So here I am, a pharmacist, a person with no formal education in visual arts, a part time artisan, being published in a wonderful magazine.
A small proof that giving a try and following a dream can be rewarding!
Many thanks to all of you who helped me give it a try!
The magazine is available on www.shop.polymerweek.com in both paper and online versions. They ship worldwide โฅ๏ธ
