Big weekend for Titan Wrestling! The boys finished in 4th place as a team and had 5 state placers. The girls finished in 7th place as a team and had 2 state placers. Special congratulations to Vera Spencer for winning her 2nd state championship!

4th place as a team! This marks the 4th straight year we’ve been top 4 in either duals or traditional and received a team trophy.

Big day for Titan Wrestling on day 1 of the State Championships. The boys sit in 3rd place as a team and have 4 wrestlers in the semifinals. The girls are in 8th place as a team and both Bella and Vera are in the semifinals.

Incredible performance by the team today! Region 8-4A Runners-Up. Brought 11 kids, 10 Sectional qualifiers and 1 alternate. Every single kid wrestled to or exceeded their seed, which is quite rare.

For those that don’t know, we are in the largest region in the state, regardless of classification (11 teams). Needless to say, this was an impressive day for Titan Wrestling!

Bella and Vera will be representing us at Sectionals next weekend, but congrats to all the Lady Titans on an awesome season. These girls are literally building a program we can all be proud of.

Boys in action tomorrow at Walnut Grove.

Awesome job from our ladies that competed at the Gwinnett Games today. Vera won the 120 bracket and Bella placed 3rd at 115. Both brackets had 20 kids in them and both Bella and Vera had wins over returning state placers. Olivia Waldron also accepted the challenge and competed valiantly!

It’s been a busy weekend for Titan Wrestling.

On Friday, we competed in the Girls’ Region Duals for the first time in school history! We are so proud of the girls that have battled all year and stuck it out to make it possible. Our Girls’ program is definitely headed in the right direction.

On Saturday, the boys went through the meat grinder that is the Region 8 Duals. We wrestled hard going 3-1 with wins over Seckinger, East Forsyth, and Walnut Grove. We fell short against Chestatee and ultimately finished in 3rd.

It’s time to rest up, refocus, and get ready for the individual portion of the season.

Our ladies killed it tonight at Mountain View. Boys are in action tomorrow.

It’s been a wild few days and I wish we had more pictures.

On Wednesday, the varsity boys traveled to the very tough Commerce Duals. We went 2-2 with wins over Commerce and Franklin County. We lost to West Forsyth and JaxCo.

Also on Wednesday, the ladies were at the Chestatee War Eagle. Bella Mingledorff finished in 2nd place.

Thursday was the JV/Girls East Metro at Monroe Area. Bella Mingledorff and Shea VerStraete were tournament champions, while Jack Dupree, Jordan Brown, and Hazel Beam all took 4th.

Today was the varsity East Metro. We finished in 3rd as a team, just a couple points out of 1st. Kyle Maddox was 2nd, Anson Young, Caleb Huguet, Jake Hall, and Zack May were 3rd. Pressly Villaveces, Nolan Bloom, and Joe Ruberte were 4th.

It’s been a long few days! Everyone take the several days to rest and enjoy the holidays!

We were pumped to have over 40 kids join us for our first holiday practice. Perhaps it was because former Titan and state champ, Dom Lasher stopped by to offer some wisdom.

The Titans finished in 5th place in the very touching Coal Mountain Classic. The following wrestlers placed:

Several others had strong performances but fell just shy of the podium.

We are back in action on Wednesday at the Commerce Duals!

We successfully hosted the North Oconee Duals yesterday. The Titans finished in 2nd place and went 4-1. We had wins over Madison County, Oconee County, Social Circle B, and Parkview. Our kids came against Social Circle A. We are back in action on Wednesday at the Classic City Championships.

Congrats to Titan Wrestling’s own, Vera Spencer, for entering the national rankings at #16 at 125lbs. Nobody works harder than Vera, and she has earned this honor!

It was a monumental day for the Lady Titan Wrestling Team at the Battle at the Briar Patch! We entered 5 wrestlers, had 2 champs, 3 placers, and every girl won at least 1 match! Our placers were as follows:

3rd-Aźe Henning

They will be back in action tomorrow at the Titan Scramble.

The Titans kicked off the wrestling season today with 2nd place finishes for both varsity and JV at the Red Elephant Duals! Strong performances by numerous wrestlers, with Aaron Davis going undefeated with 5 pins. We will be back in action on Wednesday at the Titan Scramble!

We had a great first week of practice! You might not know the individual names yet, but you will soon.

Please help me in congratulating Vera Spencer on finishing in the top-8 in the country at Super32. She had 2 wins over nationally ranked opponents and represented herself, state, and our program perfectly. We are all so proud of her, but this is only the beginning for her!

Titan Wrestling was well represented at the homecoming parade last tight. Thanks to all the wrestlers and their families for helping out. A HUGE shoutout to the Huguet family for organizing and providing the truck and trailer.

10 YEARS!!! From very humble beginnings Coach Daniel has transformed this wrestling program into perennial contender. His wrestling room has always been one of inclusiveness, integrity and of course hard work. Just a few highlights and NOHS Milestones over the last 10 years…

Congratulations on another great Wrestling Season!

Vera Spencer capped off an amazing, undefeated season with a 9-1 win in the finals to become North Oconee’s first Girls State Champion! We are so proud of Vera!

And just like that, the boys’ season is finished. Cole Cano and Dom Lasher represented North Oconee in the State Finals! Congratulations to Dom Lasher for becoming the 5th State Champion in school history! Congrats to Cole Cano (2nd), Wyatt Anderson (5th), and Louden Schnake (5th) for also placing.

We finished in 5th as a team!

Vera Spencer wrestlers tomorrow afternoon in hopes of becoming our First Lady Titan State Champion.

We have our first state finalist in the girls division! Congrats to Vera Spencer!!

Great first day at the State Tournament! Cole and Dom will be wrestling in the state finals tomorrow night at 6:00! Wyatt and Louden both got on the podium with 5th place finishes, and Kyle and Aaron both made it to the final 8 wrestlers in the state.

Words can’t express how proud of these seniors we are! Most of them have been with us since they were 8th graders, some were 80lbs when they started. There have been injuries, ups and downs, wins and losses, but there’s no denying these 4 have established a standard within Titan Wrestling.

Good luck to Cole, Wyatt, Dom, and Louden as they close out their high school careers this weekend!

The squad is ready to head to Macon and hunt some hardware this weekend! We are proud of their hard work and know they will finish the season with a bang!

Congrats to Bella Mingledorff and Vera Spencer for punching their tickets to the GHSA State Championships next week! Vera won the 115 Sectional Championship and Bella was runner-up at 120.

It was a most impressive showing and the managing was top notch, as always!
