This 11 year old kiddo, Long, came up to me while I was sitting outside a cafe in Hoi An.

“Can I sit here and practice my english with you?”

The next 40 minutes he sat there with me and we had a long conversation about Vietnam’s history, his daily routine and his dreams and aspirations.

It’s the summer break in Vietnamese schools, yet he would wake up at 7 am, go to his math tutor at 9, come back home. Lunch, then television for 45 minutes. Then off to his IT tutor, back home and learn/practice english for 1 hour. On tuesdays and saturdays his mother would take him to the Hoi An Old Town (tons of tourists) where he would practice english with random foreigners from 2 pm to 6 pm.

This trip has officially made me obsessed with motorbikes. Never thought I would sit and watch MotoGP on YouTube, but here we are 🤪

Gosh. No idea how I did this. I literally don’t even touch cats..

Another day, another temple. This time we biked all the way up the splendid hills of Chiang Mai to reach the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, built in the 1300s at an elevation of over 1000 metres.
The chedi is plated with pure gold.

Just 6 more days left here in Thailand. Can’t believe it’s been almost a month already 😭

One of my biggest goals in life is to attack wedding food to the point where I can’t button up my blazer 🐨

The 7 stages of life: 🌿

1). You finally decide to make that ONE big decision or face your biggest fear 🐍

2). You find the opportunity to make it happen 👊🏾

3). You jump into it and instantly shi* your pants, but you’re determined 🥵

4). You realize that now you are in deep trouble and backing out is not an option. 🤯

5). You start getting the hang of it and understand that the entire situation is not that bad as you imagined. 💥

6). You smile and finally get comfortable with the challenge. 🍗

7). The fear is no longer a fear. The challenge is no longer a challenge. 💡

6th January 2022: Landed in this beautiful country, at 0200 in the morning, all alone and sleep deprived.
10th February 2022: Leaving with tons of amazing memories and a bunch of wonderful international friends. 🪵
