Caregivers of children with a developmental diagnosis are invited to participate in a research study for Parent-Child interaction Therapy (PCIT) via telehealth.
The goal of this study is to build on previous research to show that PCIT can also be effective when delivered via telehealth and is beneficial for children with developmental diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, speech delay, etc.

Dr. Gregory Wallace is seeking autistic adult participants to complete an online study.
You may qualify for the Compensation Skills in Autism study if you:
• Are on the autism spectrum (for example, Autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, etc.), whether self-diagnosed or diagnosed by a health/educational professional
• Are at least 18 years old
• Do not have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability (Note: this does not include a learning disability, such as dyslexia)
• Live in the United States

Introducing The Penguin Study
The Penguin study, which is a pediatric autism spectrum disorder (ASD) clinical study, is currently enrolling children ages 5 to 17. The purpose of the study is to evaluate an investigational drug to determine if it may treat irritability and other behaviors in children and adolescents with ASD.
To be considered for the study, patients must:
Be 5 to 17 years old
Have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder
Experience irritable behaviors associated with their ASD
Have a parent or guardian able to participate as a study partner during the study
Be able to swallow a medium-sized capsule
Study participation will last for up to 14 weeks, with a 6-week treatment period. Children who enroll in this study will receive either the study drug or placebo. A placebo looks like the study drug but has no impact on the person taking it. There will be no cost for the study drug or any study-related procedures. You may be compensated for your time and travel.
If your child completes the 6-week treatment period, they may be able to enroll in a 52-week, open-label extension study if they qualify. During this open-label study, there is no placebo. Children who enroll will receive the study drug, pimavanserin.

Are you a family in a rural area with a teenager (ages 13-18) with ASD living at home?
Clemson University's recreational therapy program is recruiting rural-dwelling families with teenagers with ASD to participate in their 8-week virtual research study. Parents/guardians will receive virtual coaching from a recreational therapist and learn how to lead nature-based activities with their families.

The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH is conducting a study evaluating the benefits of a virtually-delivered resiliency program for parents who have children with ASD. Attention families in/around Goose Creek!
Starting on August 12th, City of Goose Creek Recreation will dedicate private time in the gymnastics center to the therapeutic division every Friday from 12PM-2PM. This will function solely as open gym time, meaning participants are free to do as they wish without the structure of a designed program. You can attend for as long or as little as you would like!
