Every tattoo comes with a story. Most common is; “I was drunk and had it done in someone’s basement by a friend.” Others want to remove the tattoo because of bad memories associated with that tattoo. Work and military regulations play a part in why you need it removed. This is very rewarding for us when client is happy with the outcome.
Getting someone to continue with laser treatments has been difficult as the laser can be very painful. The cost is another problem. While it takes only a session for the tattoo, it can take many sessions to remove. A lot of people expect a quick removal. We feel the triple treatment is the best system on the market today. There will be very few and sometimes one laser tattoo removal session. We utilize topical anesthetics along with chilled treatments to, in some cases greatly minimize the pain.
The most common and well-known technique for removing tattoos is a laser. However, the laser cannot see all colors to a satisfactory degree. Here is a brief explanation of how the laser works. Following this, we will introduce the other 2 procedures for removal.
When you received your tattoo, the delivery system was liquid. When the tattoo is healed, it becomes what is known as a crumbly substance. When using a laser, tattoos are removed by way of the laser seeing its target. This being pigment. When the laser sees its target which in this case, ink, it blasts apart the ink particles. Through fibroblasting, the ink is dispersed through the liver or kidneys. This is not dangerous. It has been under your skin for quite a while without harmful effects.
Black tattoos are most easily eliminated and may be removed with just a laser. Even though the laser does have different wave lengths, they generally do not remove a tattoo to satisfaction. And that is why other techniques are required for the best outcome. Overall laser tattoo removal depends on the following criteria. Which are; how much ink was used, the quality of ink, age of tattoo as well as ingredients used at the time of the tattoo. The FDA still does not regulate ink so there is no way to know what the ink is made up of. There are just as many if not more variables in removing the ink as there are in depositing the ink into the skin by the tattooist. Cover-ups need to be revealed before the service to understand that we will be removing a tattoo that is two layers deep before we begin the lasering portion of the system. The size of the tattoo will determine how the process will proceed. Smaller and some medium sized tattoos can be fully treated at each session. For larger tattoos, picture a checkerboard. The tattoo will be divided using a marker and a checker board design and half will be treated so as not to cause a large scab. The smaller the scabs are, the easier it will be to take care of them. A large scab can be knocked loose much easier than smaller ones. The longer the scab stays intact, the more successful the treatment. Once the scab has fallen off, and not pulled off, you will see pink skin. The crust will contain the colors of the ink and not look like the normal color of a scab. For best results, the scab must be treated as gently as possible. This ensures an effective treatment. Subsequent sessions range from one to two months. With using the checkerboard system, the remaining ink will be removed, and the process is repeated until the tattoo is either gone or faded enough to your satisfaction. The order in which the applications are used vary from tattoo to tattoo since each tattoo is unique. Session times also depend upon the size and location of the tattoo.
Another component of the 3-part system is known as microdermabrasion. Please note that the “dermabrasion” you may read about and see is far different than microdermabrasion. Some so called “techs” use a Dremel to remove the tattoo thus causing much trauma and in most cases, unnecessary scarring. You must have a licensed practitioner to perform microdermabrasion procedures. This is a Missouri state law. And, note that a “tech” is not the same as a Licensed Esthetician also known as a LE. The machines are also legally utilized by physicians and nurses. This is the single most important piece of information that you need to have knowledge of before proceeding with a microdermabrasion treatment.
There are two types of microdermabrasion machines, one being the Crystal and the other the Diamond Tip. The crystal machine sprays high grade micro aluminum crystals. The diamond tip has hard applicators and suction but no crystals. The vacuum mechanism stimulates cell metabolism and blood flow. Topical vitamins such as A and D as well as antioxidants are even more effective when used after the exfoliation procedure. We prefer the Diamond Tip as aluminum crystals are the only option for the Crystal Microdermabrasion machine as of this writing. The industry is working on producing natural options. So, this method may be incorporated later. The crystal machine sprays high grade micro aluminum crystals. The diamond tip has hard applicators and suction but no crystals. The vacuum mechanism stimulates cell metabolism and blood flow. Topical vitamins and antioxidants are even more effective when used after the exfoliation procedures.
The third procedure of The Progressive Tattoo Removal System is achieved by way of insertion of a circular series or row of needles, utilizing either the hand method or the electric pen. We refer to it as the “un-ink” method. These are the same tools used to perform permanent cosmetic procedures. Skin is lifted and then anesthetized (numbed) using lidocaine directly under the skin. The skin will begin to feel numb. Clients feel that using the numbing system makes this procedure far less painful than when the tattoo was applied. The advantage her is that this method is color blind, unlike the laser. An all-natural product is then inserted under the skin again using the hand method or electric pen. It binds with the ink and pulls it to the surface and that is what the scab contains, the ink, which is why it will appear different than that of an ordinary scab. Care needs to be taken so the scab does not fall off too soon.

Micro-Needling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT, is a safe, cost–effective treatment to aid in removing stretch marks, post acne scaring, scar revision, wrinkles, cellulite reduction, hyper-pigmentation, skin transformation along with skin thickening as well as skin tightening. It is also used for maintenance of the skin.

Why It Works
The principle behind micro-needling is simple: It stimulates and plumps the body's own production of substantial collagen and elastin, thereby reducing wrinkles and improving skin texture. When it is applied to the skin, using topical anesthesia, very fine needles are used to create many microscopic channels deep into the dermis of the skin. It stimulates your own body/brain to produce thicker and additional, new collagen and elastin at an accelerated rate. These channels also improve the pe*******on of vitamins A and C. Vitamins A and C stimulate skin renewal. Hyaluronic acid may also be used after a treatment which produces great results as well.
How it works
Fine microneedles perforate the skin. After sufficient perforation, very fine petechiae (blood spots) will be visible on the skin. Only a few days after the treatment NEW fibroblasts and capillaries will migrate through the punctured tissue. This results in new tissue formation. New capillaries result in a significantly better blood supply that in return results in significant skin transformation. This prompts the skin to stimulate collagen production, filling in fine lines and plumping the skin revealing a younger you!
How do I prepare?
Lidocaine needs to be applied to the entire area that will be treated 45 minutes to one hour beforehand. If possible, cover the area with plastic wrap for deeper pe*******on. Five percent lidocaine is best and can be found in Walmart. One type is a hemorrhoidal cream. It is in a box with a tube inside. Please pay close attention to make sure it is 5%. The cost will be between 5 and 10 dollars. Dollar General has 4% lidocaine for $4.00. Lidocaine can also be found in the burn section. When you arrive, you will remove it from your face. Five percent lidocaine is best, but 4 percent is used as well.
Advantages of Micro needling are:

• Short healing periods in most cases
• The treatment is cost effective
• It can be used on thin skin
• There is no permanent damage to the skin
• It can safely be repeated and is recommended for better results
• It can be used on laser–resurfaced skin
What areas can this procedure be used on?
• It can be used on all areas of the face, neck, decollate and body. People have had very positive results on the cellulite/cottage cheese areas. Lips are another area that can be an add-on.
Is Micro Needling painful?
The procedure usually requires local anesthetic cream in some areas. There is usually no pain during and after the procedure.
While collagen induction therapy is suitable for almost all patients, it is not recommended for those with active infections such as active acne, chronic skin disorders, blood clotting problems, poor healing, keloids, or skin malignancies.
How long is the procedure?
Treatment sessions range from 10 minutes to one hour, depending on the area being treated with 45 minutes being the average.
How many treatments are needed?
This will depend on the degree of the problem and the client's expectations. A person may be satisfied after one treatment if they are using it for skin maintenance. For clients wanting specific results 3 to 6 treatments are recommended. The sessions can be spaced as desired. Four weeks is the normal frequency.
What is the recovery or downtime? What should I expect after treatment?
Immediately after the procedure the skin usually turns pink to red with tiny blood spots, swelling may occur, and you may have areas of bruising. Scabbing may be noticed after the first couple of days. It is safe to resume normal activities after the procedure. Normal cleansers, moisturizers, and sunscreen should be used with discretion after the procedure. Immediately following the procedure, there is a ten to fifteen-minute window of opportunity to transfuse the products into the skin. Concentrations of Vitamin A and C products or other topical products may be applied then. Hyaluronic acid is also an option. Depending upon the type of skin, it may take a couple of days for skin to look normal but results gradually become apparent. Natural collagen growth happens over weeks and months, so it isn’t an instant fix, but your skin will be much improved over the long term. Some clients refer to their results as life changing.
What changes can be realistically expected with micro-needling?
Micro Needling aka CIT will make the skin smoother, fresher and improve fine lines around the eyes, mouth and cheeks. CIT can cause significant improvement in stretch marks and acne scars. Skin texture and brown marks will also improve. Post acne scarring and scarring from injury can be removed. Skin will be tighter. Cellulite can be improved as well.
How long will the effects of micro-needling last?
The plumped collagen will last for a long time, unless the skin is further damaged by sun exposure, smoking, or other external factors. As the skin ages, some of the new collagen will also age and again become flat or lax. The duration of results varies from person to person but should last for years.
*Micro Needling is also very effective for those with self-harm scaring. It will take several treatments, along with the possibility of some skin tone permanent cosmetics.

Light Emitting Diode Therapy, more commonly known as LED Light Therapy has many skin applications since it can enter and pass all layers of skin. So as the colors are different, so are the applications.
COLORS/HUES AND WHAT THEY DO FOR YOUR SKIN:
Red LED Light
