Granny Chic Designs
We offer a collection of vintage finds with modern elements and a bit of whimsy.
Another floral paint by number! Took this week off from the day job, so I have enjoyed having some down time to get this one finished.
There’s a story behind this pallet wall, but for now, let’s all just appreciate the amazing Granny Chic-ness of it! 🥰😍
The most recent “Granny Chic” paint by numbers I have done this year.
Some Fall moments…the latest paint by number and cuddles with Luckey.
Did a couple of projects this past weekend. Made a junk journal from a paper bag, added a transfer decal from to a simple muslin bag, and used chalk paint and a transfer decal to spruce up this old foot stool. Lots of Granny Chic character with these!
Found some gorgeous vintage papers and cards yesterday. They’ll make a beautiful addition to a future “junk” journal.
Love it when I catch these cuties bloomimg!! 😍
Very bittersweet to be parting with The Ruby Earle!! Please pass the word to anyone looking for a classic Airstream. Facebook listing under 1968 Airstream Overlander.
The latest junk journal is almost complete! This nature themed journal has tons of space to journal and fun botanical ephemera.
Found a new fun thing... junk journals! You can write in them, draw in them, or just have fun making them.
Christmas art available at the Sanctuary.
New stickers headed to the shop tomorrow. 🥰 Come see us at the Sanctuary in Boerne. 12-4 pm
Fall decor doesn’t always have to be orange and brown. Green, white, and a pop of pink can be just as festive. A few Granny Chic things in a corner at the Sanctuary in Boerne.
White chippy metal and gorgeous green. Yes, please. Happy Saturday, everyone!
This salvaged door k**b is the perfect chippy white and rusted addition to my “new” screen door. Isn’t it lovely? 🥰
Love this Psalm and this totally shabby frame. Headed to the shop tomorrow.
Most often the “junk” we find goes to the shop. Every now and then, it stays right at home. Can’t wait to get this old screen door fixed up and hung up in time for some fall weather. It’s right around the corner, right?!?
Summertime is the perfect time for hanging out in your “She Shed.” We’re featuring some treasures in our booth at the Sanctuary that can help you create your own She Shed vibe, wherever you decide it should be.
Wrapping up a much-needed holiday week and thankful for the time off to do some baking, creating, gardening, and tweaking of things in the Granny Chic booth at the shop. Back to the real world soon!
We’re so excited to bring the Ruby Earle back this weekend!
Don’t forget…the Ruby Earle will be here this weekend at our Father’s Day pop up! We will have the He Shed available for gents to take a breather in the shade, play some dominoes or cards, and maybe have a beer! Not to mention all the one of a kind goodies we will have available! We start at 10, so come out and see us!!
Spike wants to come home with you!!! He’ll be available this coming Saturday at the Ruby Earle pop-up at the Sanctuary in Boerne.
Do you (or a friend) need a cute addition to your laptop or beverage tumbler? These fun stickers are perfect! Grab one or three at the Ruby Earle pop-up on June 19-20 in Boerne. Follow us on Instagram for more updates.
The next Ruby Earle Plant Bar is going to be the CUTEST! Can’t wait to share these on June 19th at The Sanctuary in Boerne.
Taking some botanical themed goodies to the shop this weekend!
It was an amazing day in Boerne for the maiden voyage of the Ruby Earle! We met tons of people and had so much fan sharing all of our treasures!
Headed back tomorrow to celebrate all you amazing moms!
Added a cute boho-inspired stencil to the floor of the Ruby Earle. We are ready (as we will get) for Saturday!! Look for pics and maybe some video when we get set up!!
Some of the vintage and contemporary treasures we are curating for Wandrenfest on May 8. Can’t wait to debut the Ruby Earle in Boerne! Check out the Sanctuary page for details.
Put up a small gallery of soft pink floral prints on the shop wall. Perfect for a springtime refresh!
In honor of Ruby Earle, we’re adding some vintage jewelry to our inventory. Here’s a few pieces we’ve rounded up with more to come. And a vintage jewelry box from the thrift store will be the perfect display! You don’t want to miss Wandrenfest on May 8 at the Sanctuary in Boerne...☺️
Official announcement!! Stay tuned for updates as we approach May 8. So. Much. Work. Left.
Also, some people have asked...Wandren is German for wander. (Boerne has a rich German heritage. And Airstreams are a classic way to wander about- a perfect pair!)
If you have an adventurous, creative, or fun-loving spirit, Wandrenfest is for you. We’ll have activities, refreshments, a Plant Bar, and some very cool vintage and modern treasures all on the Sanctuary front lawn and inside the Ruby Earle. Come see us!
Be sure to follow on Instagram as well.
In the spirit of adventure, we are so very excited to announce that the Sanctuary is the new host spot for Wandrenfest – a casual, come-as-you-are gathering with plenty to see and plenty to do. Bring your blanket, bring your guitar, and stay awhile. The lovely airstream will be center stage in her maiden voyage with her current owners, and packed full of amazing goodness you won't want to miss. Make sure you follow us so you don't miss out on updates, and follow to watch her progress!
Our Story
Granny Chic Designs is the collaborative effort of a wife-husband team and an extended group of women who love searching, creating, exploring, and designing. We are scattered across Texas, but have common roots as educators. Our shared passion for discovery influences the items we select and the designs we share. Our home base is a property outside San Antonio, Texas, with a 1950’s farmhouse and a barn full of treasures. We travel in a ‘66 Chevy pickup (Ol’ Blue) gathering treasures and meeting interesting people along the way. We believe that objects tell stories, and “granny chic” design is about weaving those stories into a beloved novel—sometimes with a surprise ending.
