Sebas Social Media Marketing Trainer
Helping network marketers and solopreneurs build an online brand they love to grow their business and build a life they love.
Have you heard of impostor syndrome?
I didn't know much about it until it happened to me.
It happens when your mind tells you you're not good enough.
š¤š» You're not supposed to be here.
š¤š» Those other people are way better than you.
š¤š» What makes you think you're so special?
It's that sense of doubt that comes when you try something new.
It sucks. And it makes you ask yourself "why did I ever try to do this?"
When this happened to me, I searched and searched for the "cure".
What I found is that there is no way to avoid this. It happens to us all.
ā
It really just comes down to one thing: intent.
If you're out there sharing a message that you believe in, then you're on the right path.
There's always going to be someone better than you. Like 100x better.
But there's also someone who just got started.
It's all different levels. Keep your head down, keep working, and have intent in your message.
Push that little voice in your head far far away.
ACTION = RESULTS
Sometimes we need to turn off all the noise. All the motivational videos and how to tutorials.
Sometimes we use those things to NOT take action and do something we're afraid of.
Stop thinking. Stop waiting. You already know what to do. So, do it.
Any piece of content you look at will fall under one of these 3 pillars.
This can help you improve your content creation process by understanding the PURPOSE and the VALUE. of your message.
What are your thoughts? Let me know below!
If you've ever wondered how much of your personal life you should share online....
The answer is: thereās no right or wrong answer. Share as much as you feel comfortable with.
Stay away from politics, religion, and other polarizing topics. Outside of that, go crazy.
Because we are all humans and we love to connect with other humans.
The more real and unique you are, the easier it is.
We claim to not have time or make up all kind of BS excuses.
Yet when it comes down to it, we spend hours on our phone, Netflix, etc.
We have to be selfish when it comes to our goals. No one else is going to make it happen but you.
š² SAVE THIS if you wanna know how I come up with content ideas weeks and even months ahead.
1. I selected ONE space to gather all my ideas: Asana.
Every time an idea comes to mind, I pull out my phone and write it down. It doesn't matter if it's stupid or brilliant.
You can use tools like Trello or your Notes app.
2. I add details to my favorite ideas.
Once a week I will delete bad ideas and go into detail for each one of them. The more specific, the more likely you are to remember the full idea and create content from it.
3. Every week I take a look at all my ideas and start categorizing them under one of these 3 pillars:
ā
Education
ā
Connection
ā
Entertainment
This helps me understand the PURPOSE behind each idea. Am I trying to share about my personal life? Am I teaching something new? Am I trying to make people laugh?
As you do this, your content creation process will start to become easier and easier.
More importantly, you'll know the message you're sharing with your audience rather than sharing just to share.

I hate giving you a double quote but this one is just too good.
"When we see others beginning to live their authentic selves, it drives us crazy if we have not lived out our own"
- Steven Presdfield
How do you interpret this quote? let me know your thoughts.
š¤³š» Let's give your profile pic an upgrade. These are the 5 things you absolutely should have in your next profile pic:
1.Show your beautiful face: We engage with people, not puppies, landscape photos, or a blurry photo of your friends at the bar.
2.Good quality pic: you don't have to spend money. Just make sure it's a clear image with good lighting.
3.Just you: You're here to connect through your personal brand. You can show off your kids, dogs, partner, etc.. through your feed.
4.Placement: your face should be easy to see and in the center of the image.
5.Make it memorable: what can you do to spice up this image? Try to make it stand out by adding a background, brand elements, or anything that helps it stand out.
Are there any tips I'm missing?š¤Ø
SAVE THIS! Behind the scenes of my content creation process.
This is how I bust out tons of content (videos specifically) in less than a couple hours.
What are your thoughts? How else could I help you?
The scariest thing is that most people are afraid of failing and in that process, they stop learning.

Iām going to make this short and sweet: failure = growth.
Fail often. Fail consistently. Fail FAST.
Thatās the only way youāll start getting the results you seek.
Whatās your outlook of 2020 so far?
Personally, mine has been filled with lots of ups and downs (duh, but even outside of Kobe, the pandemic, the NBA closing, the earthquake, etc..).
By far the craziest year of my life. And I think there were many times when i literally felt like the world was ending.
But just like 2020 has been challenging, we must still find the good in things.
Without this, we are doomed to think nothing will ever work in our favor.
Like says āLife is always happening for us, not to usā.
Hereās a reminder that the feeling of love is that much stronger once you feel heartbreak.
The feeling of happiness is stronger once you feel defeat.
And in order for us to achieve great things, we must go through very sh*tty situations, learn, and grow.
Enjoy the process, even if it feels like the world is ending.š¤š»š¤š»
I truly believe social media is simple. Let me explainā¦
Itās definitely NOT easy. Itās changing every single day. Itās exhausting trying to keep up with everything thatās going on.
TikTok is good! Reels is taking over! Carousels are IN! Start posting every day! blah blah blah.
āš¼The only thing that remains constant is this:
ā
If you provide more value than you ask for something,
ā
And if you consistently do this, day in and day out,
š„Youāll find results.
Results could mean:
More clients
More leads
More sponsors
More opportunities
So if thereās one message you should take away from my page, itās that.
VALUE + CONSISTENCY = š
I hope I provide enough value for every single person seeing this (specially you reading this ;) ) so you can take this information and apply it to your personal life.
What does Chipotle, Burger King, and Wendyās social media have in common?
They act like a person, when behind the scenes they have 20 people in their team.
We have to remind ourselves the strengths of having a personal brand.

Stick with your personal brand. It really works.
Iāve always wondered how people are able to live on top of a mountain.
Like, what did they do to get there? Are they special or different from me?
The thing is, if I resign and say āyes, you are special/differentā, then I automatically close the opportunities to achieve the same, or even somewhere remotely close.
This week we spent the afternoon looking at really, really, really cool houses. One of them had a rock climbing wall in their basement. lol.
Karlee and I left pumped up. And it truly isnāt about having the fancy house, or the fancy car. To me, itās about chasing challenges that may seem unattainable or just straight up impossible.
I challenge you to think big. Whether itās a nice house, helping people, traveling, just think about the life youād like to have in a perfect world and go for it.
Thatās it. Happy Friday people, letās get these goals!
This is a short list of things you could do to support friends in business.

Iāve been recording videos all week and itās been kind of hard tbh.
I have to keep reminding myself that the only way to get better is to fail and try again.
So if anyone out there is struggling with doing something they know they need to do, use this as an excuse to get it done!šÆ @ Riverton, Utah

When I started college, I had no idea what I wanted to do.
I changed my major to Social Work, to Physical Therapy, to Business, then Marketing, and finished with Economics.
When I dropped out of school, I still had no idea what I wanted to do.
I tried to start RedText (an app), a crepe shop, a Photo Booth business, and Amazon FBA. My family made fun of me for being "the app-guyā. š
When I quit my job, I literally had no idea what I wanted to do.
Then I looked back and realized this entire time I was learning new skills. And with those skills I could help people improve their lives and make a living.
The truth is, Iām figuring it out as I move along.
You never know how the lessons youāre learning today will lead you to new discoveries in the future.

Social media is very simple if you stick with the fundamentals.

Social media is not easy, but itās very simple if you stick with the fundamentals.

Iām all about simplifying the process.
If you want to make unique designs with little to no graphic design experience, this is my favorite tool.
One day Iāll probably move on to a different tool, but for now, this will get the job done.
What tool makes your job 10x easier? @ Riverton, Utah
"You can find anything onlineā
For the most part, I believe thatās true. So why do we still pay other people to teach us something?
People want easy to understand information.
They want to feel catered to, important, and special.
Your job is to gather the KEY information they need and create a guide for easy consumption of content.
What are your thoughts?

Yes, you should keep it real EVERYWHERE.
But when it comes to your online presence, people will identify themselves more with you when they see your real side.
The side that fails.
The side that doesnāt have it all figured out.
The āugly" side.
Pictures with fancy cars, money, and all the success in the world donāt work anymore. They probably never did.
So challenge yourself to share a more vulnerable side of you and see how people react.
Our favorite activity has become to drive around and look for our dream house.
The best thing about having a partner like Karlee is that we both get to dream and work towards those milestones together.
But, we still have a loooong way to go.
Next big milestone: move out of state.
Where do you think we should go?
Imagine today you decided to document your life, your discoveries, and passions online.
You fast forward 5 years from now to see youāve built a community that loves what you share, and looks to you for entertainment and educational purposes.
With this community, you grow your business and monetize it to live the life you desire.
Now imagine that the life you dreamt of having never happens because you never took action.
Iām afraid of many things, but regret has to be at the top of my list.
My brother couldnāt have said it any better.

Sometimes I look at other people I admire and get frustrated.
Why canāt I be where they are now?
But if you think about it, itās a very selfish way to think.
Itās easy to look at someone today and make an assessment of what they had to do to get to where theyāre at now.
What we donāt see is the behind-the-scenes.
The late nights, the failures, the fears, and the doubts.
Iāve always heard of the saying that āeveryone goes through their own journeyā.
And I think Iām finally getting close to understanding it.
Your journey is unique. Embrace the trials and roadblocks that come up.
No one likes a story without a little bit of excitement in it.
This is for all the managers out there who deal with this.
Or for all the Karenās who pick on the customer service rep.
Be good. Do good to others. Itāll come back to you at some point.
XOXO to all the Karenās out there reading this.

Asking your friends and family to engage with your content is actually bad for you.
Think about this:
Instagramās algorithm looks at your profile + content + following + followers, etc.. to determine how often and to who they should show your content to.
If IG determines your sister, someone who (for example) engages with your content constantly, is your target audience, they will show your profile to similar people to your sisterās page and her interests.
But what if your sister isnāt part of your target audience?
If your family and friends didnāt know you, would they follow and engage with content like yours?
If the answer is NO, then right now those accounts are confusing the Instagram algorithm.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Because Iāve done this before. Iāve asked my friends or family to like, or comments, or engage with my content. Probably to hype it up and make it seem more valuable than it actually was.
The beautiful thing about Marketing is that the customer will always naturally show you what they like.
So set aside expectations for others to engage with you. If they do, itās because they truly like what youāre sharing, and thatās always much more valuable.
Remember: You donāt need friends and family to reassure you of your journey. Youāre doing good. Keep going!
What are your thoughts?
Click on my profile and (hopefully) you'll notice the difference in the content Iāve been making for the last 4 weeks.
My new strategy includes:
2 videos per week
2 images per week
2 carousels or graphics per week
In the past, I struggled with figuring out what type of content to post.
Iāve worked in social media for years, but it's never an easy, logical strategy.
Sometimes it takes lots and lots of testing to find a good rhythm you feel comfortable with.
Itās the beginning of my content journey, and I will definitely be putting out much different content.
Just remember that we evolve as people, and so does our content.
Hopefully this guide can show you how one piece of content can create you content for a month.
Itās really not about the capability of making it happen, itās just about prioritizing.
What questions do you have about my process?
PS: Save this for later reference for your own content! @ Draper, Utah
