Ready to be overwhelmed

Looking forward to seeing the pictures from the big community call today...

The attached picture, was a rainy day and only had a month to organise...

I'm sure that with the "overwhelming community" support and 15 years to gather fans, that the photos will be extraordinary....

1000's turned out...?

9. Local businesses that have sat on the committee and have forced the agenda will run events there and push their brands on the public.

15/03/2023

8. With the Skatepark and car park being built on a landfill site, and with essential raw sewage pipes flowing below it, there will be an incident that sees subsidence and/or raw sewage effecting the operation of the area.

15/03/2023

7. With there being insufficient parking, parking restrictions will have to be introduced along Dracaena Avenue in its entirity, effecting residents and service users.

6. With there being insufficient car parking for Dracaena Centre services, vulnerable service users will be forced to park further away. Accidents will occur.

5. No other Skateparks are built in such close proximity to housing.

Noise complaints will come.

Will the noise complaints exceed the decibel levels required in order to shut it down? We think yes.

4. No other Skateparks are built in such close proximity to a main road.

There will be a serious risk to health and safety as children and adults access the area, attempting to skate along the main road.

15/03/2023

3. Children and beginners will not feel welcome on the main skatepark, which is entirely unsuitable for beginners and children.

They will seek to use the flat area in the car park to practice.

Accidents will occur.

2. This decison is solely politically motivated. Politicians need to be seen to 'deliver' so they are ignoring the obvious issues with the Skatepark being built at this site.

For them, this is more about delivering a car park for the Dracaena Centre than it is about delivering a skatepark for Falmouth. If it were about delivering a skatepark for Falmouth, they'd have done it properly elsewhere.

Politics d will defend this decision until such time as they are no longer seeking power.

This will come to haunt the admittedly inexperienced and (in the ways of skating) uneducated politicians.

1. There will be insufficient parking and what was once a playing field will become a carpark.
Accidents will occur as vehicles enter and exit from Dracaena Avenue
