Feeling a bit “meh” today?
I know I am. Which is why I am so grateful for a beautiful touch of 🌸 Spring to brighten my day.
Flowers let me get distracted by their beauty. They allow me to use more than one of my senses (smell 👃🏻, sight) and connect me to my body more 👀.
🌸🌸 They also allow me to be reminded about simple things. Kind of takes the pressure off.
Also pictured here is beautiful Chamomile, for some relaxing tea later 🫖 which I’m really looking forward to.
What are you grateful for? And do you know why?
Let me hear from you in the comments below 👇🏻
The light tonight was really something 🌸
So grateful for this park and all the beauty it holds. No matter how many times I walk through it, there is always something to admire.
Nature is so healing 🌿
Studies show experimenting and failure is critical to long-term habit change success 🤯
Hopefully that takes some of the pressure off for you.
🌸You need to fail to succeed 🤯
🌸 So, what have you been too scared to try?
My newest health habit that I’m aiming for is meditation. A way to connect and ground myself I have never given a good chance to.
Friendly reminder.
The warmer weather and sun shine feel like good-mood food, but it’s also okay if you are still feeling anxiety or blue sometimes.
☀️I felt it yesterday. A mix of a beautiful, fantastic day and internal anxiety and sadness.
A big indicator something is on your mind, is how often you are sighing deeply.
☀️It’s a small way your body is trying to calm itself.
I sat outside, took a deep breath, enjoyed the fresh air as a way to re-centre.
Other ways to ground yourself:
💦 deep breathing, just paying attention to your breath
💦getting on the ground, literally. Ideally in nature. The magnetic pull of the Earth positively affects your cells
💦physical touch. Self-massage, using acupressure points at the bridge of your nose where it meets your eyebrows.
Leave a comment below on how you re-centre in the moment of overwhelm.
Happy international women’s day. May we continue to lift each other up and remember that everyone matters, equally.
Thank you to all my friends, family and colleagues that have positively influenced me. Biggest shoutout to my mom who is the best influence on what matters most in life : loving others.
Welcome 2021 ✨✨✨
Excited for you.

The more I learn about how our body is capable of making new DNA 🔀 choices daily, the more I want to eat more nutritious foods, which includes understanding what farming practices were used to make said foods: what goes in the soil, non-GMO seeds, no glyphosate, and what foods are in season to make their carbon footprint less. 💯
Having a farmers market helps in so many ways: it’s an easy way to know what foods are in season. You can ask the farmers questions about how they grow food, 🌱 sustainability, and even recipes or how-to’s on cooking their ingredients. Yes it costs more. But you’re also supporting small businesses directly.
I didn’t start buying a ton at the farmers market, I mostly just started with one or two things. Vendors are great to speak with and give you samples that put Costco to shame.
What’s your favourite market to visit?
Have you gotten your vitamin D tested this season? Do so to determine the appropriate dose for you, and then boost your vitamin D in preparation for change of season and winter. Vitamin D is a key player in 'turning on' your immune system, so it can fight for you!
