I've said it many times before and I'll say it again today: Yoga has been and will always be my anchor ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ This week has been a challenging one physically and emotionally and I'm so grateful for being able to practice when I can and for being able to connect with my body and with my breathing ๐Ÿ™

Do you suffer from back pain? Do you have a "round" back? Try this helpful pose to add extension in your spine and to lengthen the muscles on the side of your body ๐Ÿ’ช

This was a short snap from last Sunday's practice. The focus was on upper back strength and mobility. We did a variation of poses to lengthen the spine and to strengthen the muscles surrounding it.

For that person who gets too hard on themselves sometimes ๐Ÿ™

This past week I was so exhausted from my day time job that I wasn't able to get on the mat and practice at all.

At first I was upset about it and felt like I let my own body down. But when I got on the mat, all those feelings went away. Instead, I was taken by so much joy and gratitude for being able to practice at all and for being able to feel present and connected to my body.

Practicing yoga isn't about how much you do it or how far you push your body. It's about that beautiful, peaceful, fuzzy feeling you get afterwards.

Self love starts with kindness, forgiveness and gratitude towards oneself. What are you grateful for today?

Just a little snippet from today's session. The sequence was focused on lower body movement. We practiced static and dynamic stretches to increase the range of motion in the joints.

Just a little sneak peak from today's live session ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've been having so much fun designing weekly sequences targeting different areas in the body.

This week was all about upper body and balance. We did lengthening and strengthening poses, combined with some balancing ones.

The .fitrider and I couldn't have been happier with our first health and wellness workshop. The facility provided by was beautiful, clean and cozy ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

We really enjoyed all the discussions, strength training, yoga practice and meditation. Not to forget countless laughs and smiles ๐Ÿ˜Šโค

.fitrider and I are proud to announce our first Health and Wellness Workshop on August 30th from 1-4 PM at the beautiful Learn by Equine facility in Egbert, ON

Topics to be covered are:

โ€ข Introduction to Strength Training
โ€ข Yoga and Meditation

Whether you work out on a regular basis or have never set foot in a gym or on a yoga mat, youโ€™re invited to come out for a fun and informative afternoon!

We will have a discussion and demonstration on the importance of proper nutrition, a look into strength building and its benefits and a yoga session catered to the needs and abilities of our participants.

This workshop is for everyone of all abilities and ages 18 and up.

TRUSTING THE PROCESS

I constantly find myself in a place where I'm too critical or too judgmental of my practice. However, I have to keep on reminding myself, that my yoga practice isn't about perfecting a pose or pushing my body to extreme limits. But rather it's about finding balance and connecting with myself and finding joy in breath and movement.

I truly believe that we are all here to have the most wonderful experience in this earthly roam, we just have to trust the process and be open to receive all that positive, radiant energy.
