I am pleased and excited to be included in the Manic Botanic virtual exhibition hosted by Blue Review Project Space and curated by Garvey|Simon and Dina Brodsky. The show is available online until July 17, 2020. My work in the exhibit is from my ongoing series exploring flowers as abstraction rather than in the traditional, idealized sense. Focusing on subjects that might otherwise be discarded or overlooked, I seek the line, form and gesture that tells the story of the unique character and inner beauty of these fading botanicals.The resultant images are often surprising in range of emotion, depth of feeling and sense of movement they evoke.
