Dressing up this poolside cabana with some stain and paint. Next week, we will be working on the stamped concrete.
Update: Summer is around the corner. And these folks know how to prepare for it by adding to their pool. The Cabana is coming along nicely! What a nice addition for any pool. Wait till you see the finishing touchesđ€©đ€©
Some of us never grow up, our toys just get bigger and more expensiveđ€Ș. This is TriCities largest pump truck we could findâthanks to Capitol Concrete Pumping. Special thanks to Columbia River Concrete for their good work and determination in pouring the footing and foundation.
What is the #1 thing you would want built in your backyard? Comment to find out what we are working on next. Big shout out to D&D Tri Rivers Excavating. Dwight at D&D exudes excellence. I have worked on many jobs with Dwight at the controls of the excavator. This is a dude that knows his stuff. His skillful command over everything with tracks or wheels is impressive. And heâs good company to talk with to boot.
We are happy to announce the completion of this 1500 sq.ft. home, The Holland. Many professionals worked hard to bring this home together. I'm blessed to work with every single one of them. More to come in Highland Vineyards.

Right after framing is completed is one of my favorite times during construction. I get to pull out the level and spray paint and layout cabinets, check walls for plumb, make sure doorways are framed correctly, and many other checklist items. Having a good framer makes life of every trade after him, a little easier. Thanks YFC Framing and C&C Construction.
Growing up, my Dad taught me the importance of watering crops on the farm. This morning I was teaching my son about waterâs important role in controlling this homeâs slab. We are anxiously engaged in controlling the moisture content as the concrete cures in this sunny, and warmer weather. This is called âmoist curingâ. Water also has a crucial role in helping to settle the previously excavated soil around the backfilled foundation.
We are so thrilled to be building homes in Tri-Cities!
It has taken so much to get to this point and so many people have blessed our family along the way. The phrase Iâve probably said đŻ times this last few months is: âItâs not what you know, itâs who you knowâ. Iâve been blessed to know some of the best in Tri Cities.
I hope youâll join me here on this page as I share with you our journey in building homes. This was our ceremonial ground breaking. Thanks to Leslie for taking our photos.
If your water meter lid has this disc on it youâve probably wondered, âWhat is that?â. I scratch the surface on what it is. Anyone have any experience using this technology yet?

As promised, see how we transformed this empty corner of the laundry room. The homeowners had great vision to utilize this space to stack laundry baskets, and a place to hang coats/bags and footwear in cubbies. I like the shiplap backing, do you?
Stay tuned to see what we added to this already fantastic laundry room in Kennewick, WA.
Thanks Dawn Theel for your help in creating the business logo. I highly recommend her for designing and creating custom content.
