Dressing up this poolside cabana with some stain and paint. Next week, we will be working on the stamped concrete.

Update: Summer is around the corner. And these folks know how to prepare for it by adding to their pool. The Cabana is coming along nicely! What a nice addition for any pool. Wait till you see the finishing touches🤩🤩

Some of us never grow up, our toys just get bigger and more expensive🤪. This is TriCities largest pump truck we could find—thanks to Capitol Concrete Pumping. Special thanks to Columbia River Concrete for their good work and determination in pouring the footing and foundation.

I have worked on many jobs with Dwight at the controls of the excavator. This is a dude that knows his stuff. His skillful command over everything with tracks or wheels is impressive. And he’s good company to talk with to boot.

Right after framing is completed is one of my favorite times during construction. I get to pull out the level and spray paint and layout cabinets, check walls for plumb, make sure doorways are framed correctly, and many other checklist items. Having a good framer makes life of every trade after him, a little easier. Thanks YFC Framing and C&C Construction.

Growing up, my Dad taught me the importance of watering crops on the farm. This morning I was teaching my son about water’s important role in controlling this home’s slab. We are anxiously engaged in controlling the moisture content as the concrete cures in this sunny, and warmer weather. This is called “moist curing”. Water also has a crucial role in helping to settle the previously excavated soil around the backfilled foundation.

We are so thrilled to be building homes in Tri-Cities!

It has taken so much to get to this point and so many people have blessed our family along the way. The phrase I’ve probably said 💯 times this last few months is: “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”. I’ve been blessed to know some of the best in Tri Cities.

As promised, see how we transformed this empty corner of the laundry room. The homeowners had great vision to utilize this space to stack laundry baskets, and a place to hang coats/bags and footwear in cubbies. I like the shiplap backing, do you?
