Soooo... What is Crimson Pastel?

It's a project I have been working for almost 10 years

It started with that one killer baby in the litter....

Like most pastels it can vary in the amount of color shown & the intensity. Breeding two together really multiplies the effect.
What makes this pastel different is that it gets better as the boa ages.
Often turning an intense Crimson Red!
Anything you mix into it really intensifies!
It's the secret "ingredient" in my best blood boas!

And those eyes!!!!

They look crazy on albinos!
Not sure where this project will go?
But they are getting better every generation!
Here are a few of my favorite holdbacks!

A few months ago, we installed a new GSD2021 Security System.
We are still in the programming stage of the Set Up, and it seems to be going smoothly.
The GSD2021 has a Stealth Mode, along with an All-terrain Mode and can monitor the surrounding Peeps.
The Multi-functional Security System is a great addition to our facility.

Blood Leopard boas!!!
In Natural Sunlight the Rainbow Iridescence is Insane!
Super Rare! I could only find one other example on the net!
I started this project in 2016! It's nice to finally see the results.
I was lucky enough to get a handful of Blood Leopards in the two litters born this year.
The pairing was a "Normal" 100% het Blood & "Stars & Stripes" Leopard X "Normal" 100% het Blood & "Stars & Stripes" Leopard,
The red is all Blood Gene! No Hypo genes involved!

Photos from Troy Lee's Reptiles's post 18/06/2021

If you don't like the results...
Change the Odds! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Breeding our first holdback Male Sun Dragon Boa "Tyr" Certainly was a Game Changer!
Besides successfully siring a whopping 34 babies, including 12 Sun Dragons in one litter, he also proved to be a "Super Hypo"! So all 34 babies are hypo's and a "Crimson Pastel" carrier as well! (More on my new red pastel variation soon!) After waiting Years (well...the girls have to be at least 4 yrs old), this is the second time I have been able to produce a clutch where both parents are C.P. carriers. Like all pastel lines, this multiplies the effect on color! The red blush in the background of the albinos is already looking incredible!
The last pic is one of our "Normal" Sun Dragons vs. A Sun Dragon With Crimson Pastel for comparison.

Check out the Paradox Albino!

It's looking like a good year for Dragons!
Our first holdback Sun Dragon "Tyr" is going to be a father soon. He is over 4' long but looks tiny compared to this monster female!
