**How Long Content Needs to Be**

Let's sum this up guys, as many of you must have questions left and right about article length.

Is there an optimal article length? No, there is not, and no one really knows if there ever was. In the past, longer articles would sometimes out-rank competitor articles and pages but that doesn't mean it was just due to length.

How do we know how long an article should be?
You don't. You need to do competitor analysis research on the top 5 websites in the SERP to understand what Google has chosen as the preferred article length on average for that keyword/phrase.

After competitor analysis, we just make our article longer?
No, you do not. I would actually try condensing the article first if possible into a more concise, adapted version, as seen below. In our personal tests, this has actually done better than writing more content.

If I follow these steps will I rank?
No, there is no way to know when or how Google is ranking your article. If you get it indexed with less content, examine what SERP page it falls on and begin looking for content gaps, how you can add proximal keywords, or even ways to optimize for user navigation through the table of contents, bread crumbs, so forth, and so on.

So you don't actually know the answer?
No one does. Part of being an SEO is understanding that content creation and on-page SEO is iterative. You do it until you reach number one.

Truth of Technical SEO

One of those awkward parts of being one of the grumpy old men of SEO is that we see a lot of people talking about stuff without them actually knowing what they are talking about. Technical SEO is certainly one of those things.

I mean, we all know that technical SEO is important, and everyone will talk about it. It's just that half of the people talking about it don't understand it at all. Not even what it is or means.

Technical SEO is about getting an advantage out of the technical implementations of the website. One example is having a faster website, of course. Another is ensuring that any errors are minimized and handled correctly. Another still is ensuring the ability to crawl and index a site matches what you want.
Here's the thing though - if your platform is the most commonly used platform, e.g. WordPress and you are using an SEO plugin like almost everyone else, that's only putting you at the most common baseline of technical 'adequacy'. That's the opposite of technical SEO, since it gives you no advantage at all over anyone else using the same platform and plugins.
Technical SEO is all the stuff you need to do to make *your* install of WordPress work better and faster than anyone else's. The custom coding, the minimizing of bloat, the minimizing of plugins, and of course, custom building a theme for exactly the features you need and ONLY the features you need.

Technical SEO is making sure that if the theme on your wordpress site includes a slider, that it is not loading all that code for it with every other page too, the ones without a slider.
Not every person involved in SEO needs to be a technical SEO - an SEO copywriter can get by without knowing the intricacies of the HTTP protocols just fine. Just don't assume that you are doing technical SEO if you are not optimizing the code level, the number of file calls, the caching, etc. if you are relying on the same platforms and tools as everyone else, even the rank amateurs.
If you are not a technical SEO, that's fine. But if you are looking for a skill to add to your repertoire this year, technical SEO is one of the best bets.

Optimize Ad Copy
This is also an important point read it twice. When our ads get a high click-through rate, then that leads to more traffic, leads, and sales. That part is obvious. Whatโ€™s not so obvious is that a high click-through rate will also lead to lower costs!

Thatโ€™s because click-through rate is the biggest factor in your quality score. And when you have a higher quality score, then you can get better ad positioning for less cost. This is why ad copy optimization is so critically important for your campaign performance.

Why your website traffic is dropping, Let us do a Diagnosis in 12 simple steps
1. Algorithm update: Your website is not matching algorithm updates. Quite often Google updates its algorithm, so you have to understand all the parameters.
2. Sometimes while developing the site you use to no-index a few pages, so you need to check it and fix it.
3. Crawling status of pages: if the pages of your website not getting crawled, it may cause an issue as other sites get crawled and if Google found their pages useful it will rank their pages
4. Webmaster Analysis: If you compare your traffic in webmasters you will figure out. Check my Video in the Announcement section of fundamental of digital marketing (Facebook Community). You might have lost the traffic of your most valuable page or keyword.

5. You might have changed the website URL without knowing your current status. Many people do changes in their web pages without following proper 301 URL redirect. So itโ€™s highly recommended to check the existing status of URLโ€™s
6. A sitemap is not crawled in webmaster, it is important if your website is new.

7. The website is not submitted in all search engines like Google, Bing, Baidu (You can boycott also as it's Chinese). It helps in pulling the audience from all sources. Especially if you are targeting the USA you must go for Bing. In India major source of traffic is Google
8. Doing a proper analysis of Google analysis traffic, especially you need to check your organic traffic as your performance is measured in the search engines on the basis of your organic traffic.

9. Checking status of your returning visitor, if your parentage of returning visitor is very less. It is also a point of concern. In such case you need to do an analysis of your website UI. You can do analysis via heatmap tools like hotjar and Yandex Metrica.

10. Increasing competition in ads: You might be thinking why I am writing about ads, actually if the keyword is a transactional keyword like (Buy, Best, Get) these used in paid traffic. In such cases, we have a lot of options to do keyword research and come out with more possible combinations

11. Thin content on your website or you can say low quality content, it generally wonโ€™t give you long term benefits. So you keep updating it and make it useful.

12. Lost backlinks: Some time due to existing site updates or any reason you lose your impact backlinks. A backlink is considered one of the major aspect of SEO and improving site authority. You can check in Ahref about your lost backlinks. If you have lost good backlinks you need to build it again.
