My name is Grace, Van Heijningen and I found myself thinking about my future, as I am now in my late 50s being a single woman renting, and if I didn’t change my circumstances I would be living from pay cheque to pay cheque for the rest of my life.
There are many people like myself who have found themselves in the same situation working 9 to 5 getting a wage or being on a benefit each year moving backwards not knowing how they were going to change their circumstances so that they could become free to live the best life.
My young life consisted of being physically, mentally, and sexually abuse causing depression which has been with me most of my life. Through my spiritual faith I have always believed that I am guided to the next step of my journey, no matter how hard or rewarding.
Each path was a learning experience.
There have been times in my life when being on the benefit I did not know where the next meal was coming from or if I could pay my rent. Then I have gone to the other extreme and have worked in the Corporate Environment with long hours and after several years being so exhausted that I have had to leave to go on a sickness benefit as the stress was killing me. I never had enough money as I would spend it never being able to hold on to it, or gamble it or take to many loans out and be in dire straits, and around and around in a crazy circle.
When we listen to all the noise outside telling us what we should do, what we should be and not meet their expectations we find ourselves believing that we failed.
For the last year I have been asking spirit to show me a different way to live my life as I do not want to go back into the Corporate World, and I was showing this amazing opportunity.
On the same day I saw a quote from Richard Branson, who said “If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes-then learn how to do it later!
