Known for his contributions to the performing arts space in Sri Lanka 🎭 is also a massive foodie who tries and tests out new food every week. Last Sunday he happened to check out and this is exactly what he had to say!

I was very glad I skipped breakfast since I had ordered this mutton curry meal for two from Colombo Curry Club! 😇

The meal was packed perfectly in eco-friendly containers (complete with a personalised note) and delivered by Ursula Bastiansz (who is sweet as ever!) 🥰

Thankfully, the meal was just as lovely! (Phew! 😎)

The mutton curry was excellent with lots of melt-in-the mouth chunks of meat as well as those bones that add flavour and umami to the dish (watch out for a stray shard or two, though, when biting down).

The garlic bread was buttery, fresh with a crispy crust. I just dunked it into the fresh, moist pol sambol and then to that thick gravy for the perfect, messy bite. Yum! I don't usually eat bread, but I confess that poor loaf was soon in my belly. Yes, indeed! 👌

The portion is well worth the LKR 2220/-. It feeds two, though I must confess I gobbled it in two greedy servings while distracted by Netflix, and opted to starve at dinnertime. It was worth it!

I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu, and hope they expand it later to other meats. They do chicken, beef and mutton for now. Try them!

At Colombo Curry Club we make our Coconut Sambol (Pol Sambol) from scratch. We don’t toss it around on the fire with oil.

The chili onion mixture is made moments before the order is packed and ready to be delivered, ensuring the maximum in terms of taste and quality.

You've got to be a special kind of person if you're in the restaurant business and constantly motivate others who want to do something similar to what you're doing.

Here we have the founder and owner of and my dearest friend Shevon! He started his business not too long ago and it has become a roaring success.

He spotted me making my Beef Marrow Bone Curry for a friend and immediately messaged me saying turn this into a business and until we started he's given me advice and I know that throughout I can count on him for literally anything.

Here he is, happy as ever with his order in hand! (He was the first person to place an order with us). Thankfully he said he loved it.
