Whilst waiting confirmation of States support for the next stage we are getting the changing rooms ready for the children of St. Anne's School for when they start sea swimming after Easter. Our Flag Day is Saturday 17 March...Is anyone willing to please help rattle a tin for an hour? 😀

As 2017 comes to a close we would like to say a Very Big Thank You for your continued support this last year in getting the pool open. Fingers crossed things are now moving forward with help from the States of Alderney and 2018 should see some real progress in it all becoming a reality 💦🏊♂️

Just to let you know that over the last 3 months we have being very busy developing a new draft business plan which has this week being submitted to the States of Alderney.
We are now looking forward to working with the SoA Finance Committee and a skilled team from Guernsey authorities on refining this Plan and moving forwards to the next stage of completing the pool.....😁🏊♂️💦💦

Thank you to everyone who came to the Open Day last Thursday and to a very generous donor who gave £5,000 to complete the entrance railings and to ensure that everything is in place to open the Gym to the public in September....In the meantime things are moving on as Simon Benfield for James Walker & Co. puts the render on the outside walls.
Don't forget we are opening the Pool & Gym today between 10am and 12noon. Please come down to see where we are up to and answer any questions you may have.....Hope to see you there!

It's got the backing of Olympic gold medalist Duncan Goodhew MBE, but when will £200k be raised for Alderney to finally get its swimming pool? He says the inequality in the Channel Islands - which means many youngsters in Alderney struggle to learn to swim - is wrong.
The Gym all ready for action! Equipment tested and passed. Massive thank yous to all those who donated the equipment, to Kenneth Croxton for donating us his time and also to Forbo Flooring Systems for the donation of the fantastic state of the art hard wearing carpet. Only formality paperwork to get through before we can open to the public :) Watch this space.......
