Is it just me or does everyone feel like we’ve been caught in the rat race recently? I definitely feel it, and while I could sit here and pretend to be a *very relaxed and zenned out* coach right now, I’m going to be real with you and share some tips that I use in times where extra relaxation is needed:
🔹Epsom salt baths
🔹Candle lights/low lighting
🔹Essential oils/aromatherapy
🔹Deep breathing
🔹Reading
🔹Taking care of plants
🔹Quality time with someone you love

Words are powerful. Surround yourself with people that use words to lift you up, speak to yourself with words that are encouraging, and fill your mind with words that are reassuring in times where you might feel your head start to wander.

21/09/2022

Is anyone else’s love language words of affirmation? Or maybe you need some extra encouragement? I share my favorite quote, tips, and an easy recipe on my email newsletter! DM me your email and I’ll make sure you’re on the list ✨

…and trust the flow 💙

Veggies, especially frozen, are your friend. In weeks where I know I’m going out of town or have a crazy schedule, I resort to making meals with the frozen veggies I keep on-hand at all times. Usually, I like to buy fresh so that I can enjoy seasonal flavors, but man do those frozen ones come in handy.

If you also have a crazy week and need some grocery staples that can create many easy dishes, here’s a list I always keep on hand as well:
🔹Red peppers
🔹Quinoa
🔹Eggs
🔹Frozen salmon
🔹Sweet potatoes
🔹Spinach
🔹Broccoli
🔹Frozen veggies

Ease into this new and short week by giving yourself what you need 💙

Maybe all you need is a change of perspective. When you change the things you look at, the things you look at start to change. You could focus on the dirt, or you could choose to admire the flowers. Next time you’re navigating a life change or are just feeling overwhelmed, I challenge you to stop and look at the flowers for a second.

Growing up in dance classes my whole life, it’s important to cultivate a learning environment that allows my students and clients grow and thrive. Inquire about group workshops via the link in bio!

Feeling grateful? Write it in your journal. Feeling overwhelmed? Write it in your journal. Don’t know what to do about a certain decision, feel like your thoughts are going at 100mph, or need to get word vomit out? You guessed it–write it in your journal.

I love finding time throughout my day, whether it’s first thing in the morning or at the end of a crazy day, to write in my journal.

Here’s one of my favorite prompts that you can use next time you sit down to write:

“What are 5 things you wish others knew about you that I could share? What are 5 things you wish others knew about you that I could share?”

How to stay present amidst a struggle: something I move thru consistently. If you’re doing a task and find yourself in a block, try the following instead of completely disconnecting from it:
🔹Change environments
🔹Step away from it for a little bit
🔹Do something that you enjoy doing
🔹Find someone to at ideas off of or brainstorm with
🔹Connect to others, don’t isolate
🔹Put on music or background sound

: set some time aside every week to batch cook foods like quinoa, rice, etc. that you can have on hand when putting together meals throughout the week.

One of my favorites is this veggie quinoa that I throw in salads or have on the side!

DM me for the recipe.

Adapting to my clients’ pace and lifestyle is one of the biggest things I focus on when I begin coaching them. Loved working with you, Michelle! 💙

04/08/2022

As much as we focus on our daily habits (such as deep breathing) that help us stay grounded, there are times where things still remain out of our control.

How do you respond in those moments? Do you allow yourself to feel in order to heal?

Sit with what you’re feeling and process it. Don’t shove it away or let it consume you–just allow yourself to feel it and go through the motion.

Sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to, just move thru that space and keep going ✨

Quick and easy breakfast, anyone?

This is one of my favorite recipes, filled with vitamin C, iron, and protein!

Sautée sweet onion, garlic, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, and spinach. Once cooked down, add 3 scrambled eggs. Cut bell peppers in half and roast them in the air-fryer. Once cooked, spread hummus on bell peppers, add in scrambled eggs, and top with siracha!

This is your reminder that you don’t have to go to the gym every day to move your body, you can just take a walk outside and enjoy what’s around you.

Your life changes when you realize you’re in charge of your own happiness. So proud of you for getting there, Danielle!

15/07/2022

This weekend, take some time away from distractions and connect back to nature.

Think of the language you speak yourself in, how you approach different situations. Do you have reasons why you hold yourself back? Are there new habits you can build to help you move through them?

What I love working with clients the most  is shifting their mindset and along with that, their habits. When you shift your mindset, the way you approach your daily life starts to shift. These shifts, although they might seem small at the moment, become your new normal and have a huge impact your life and your goals in the long run.

12/07/2022

One of my favorite aspects of health and life coaching is getting to connect and build lifelong relationships with my clients 💙

08/07/2022

Movement has, and always will be, one of the biggest sources of healing for me. If I wake up overwhelmed, a gentle yoga flow clears my head. After a long day of work, jumping around listening to my favorite bop resets my spirit–and it feels good to tap into myself like this whenever I can.

If there’s something you want to release but can’t do it with words, move.
If you’re looking for a bit of an escape from reality, move.
If you’re navigating unexpected emotions or find yourself in new situations, move.

Get into your body and out of your head 💫

When I can, I love to grow my own herbs that I use for recipes and teas. Depending on where you live, this is something I would strongly recommend, as it has lots of benefits:
🔹 It helps you connect with your surroundings, helping you feel grounded and boosting your happiness chemicals
🔹 By putting love and care into the food you’re cooking with, you’re exploring different ways to love yourself
🔹 It’s always best if you know what you’re putting in your body, and this is a great way to control the quality of what you’re ingesting
🔹 It gets you away from a screen and into the earth!

Change your mindset and watch your life flourish. I love working on mindset with clients, especially when it comes to goal setting.

I have seen my life and that of many of my clients change simply because of a shift in mindset. When you change the way you think, you realize anything is possible–and the things you want to achieve go from being dreams to becoming goals that we can work towards together.

22/06/2022

There’s so much value in setting goals, changing your mindset, and watching the goals come to life in the process. Always proud of you, Danielle!

Are you vegan? Vegetarian? Pescatarian? Paleo?

I have tried all of these forms of eating at some point in my life, and now I eat what my stomach can process and makes me feel good. Is it different than what I was eating 5 years ago? Yes. Is it different than what I’ll be eating 5 years from now? Probably.

Stop putting labels on what you eat, and focus on eating what makes you feel good and helps you thrive. You don’t have to limit yourself to one thing or one label, unless that’s what makes your body feel good at the time. Just listen to your body and give it what it wants!

(DM me if you want the recipe for this dish!)

Movement is medicine, and dance is healing. Through my career as a professional dancer and entertainer, I got to experiment with all different types of movement and how our bodies respond to it.

When I started working with clients through life and health coaching, I soon realized that half of the equation was missing–movement. This lead me to develop three different pillars of movement–each focusing on something a bit different while building on one another.

My goal is to help you move thru life, whether it be figuratively with food and behavior, or literally with movement.

Life can get busy, reaaaalll quick. And just when you think you’re going to have a week to catch up or get ahead, you get thrown a curveball.

This is why, no matter how busy my life gets, I make it a point to go sailing every Thursday. It is my way of telling myself that I matter enough to take the time to disconnect, enjoy, and just be. It keeps me anchored in the midst of my routine and brings me peace among the chaos, and it’s something I look forward to doing every week.

I encourage you to find something you love doing, and make it a weekly point to do it. Check in with me after a month of sticking to it, and let me know how much your life has changed because of it!

One of my favorite parts of our journey together was helping her heal her relationship with herself through food, movement, lifestyle habits, and mental shifts. 💙
