The Adventures of “Miss Shorty” and her mini moo friends
Miss Shorty, the mini moo who beat the odds and gets to grow up.
Just maybe some food was left, “Tinkerbelle” loves some food.
Since I’m on a roll, Kitty’s bull calf is short stout, and such a sweet face.
For me this is a victory! Barbs graduated to big field and is nursing her calf, last year was a fail for nursing, this year has been a win for me! No bottle calves in ‘24
Miss Emmylou is one thick little heifer!
This girl is fancy Miss Annie Oakley 3 months
Day 2 of pining after Reba’s calf poor sweet mamma
This sweet boy headed off to his new home this morning.
Attempt number 2 of turning Barbara and her calf out and it’s looking hopeful, Betty and Tinkerbelle are excited to be back together
Betty and Boogie showing off today
Baby face Nelson has some moves
Looks like everyone is growing except me,it’s a hard life being Miss Shorty
Meet RJF Baby Face Nelson, named by Bob he’s going to be a looker and super sweet to boot.
Bless this cow, obviously this isn’t her calf either
And sometimes you get a good one, that’s not Loretta’s calf, he’s already weaned. Guess Emmy Lou doesn’t care who her mom is and Loretta likes calves.
Guess Barbara decided that she wasn’t going to be able to live off the government welfare and had to do her part! Took a lot of work on my part and this little man is special and determined! Best sight ever for me! Doing the happy dance no bottle calves this year!
Coming home from a trip and you have to stop in driveway to take cute calf pictures
Hiding in plain sight, adorable little bull problems
Bug still has the sweetest opinionated face as always. She’s definitely my girl!
Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet “Bug” and now a fantastic mom herself. She was our first calf born at our farm.
Halter training
Really pleased with how Moe and Loretta’s bull calf has turned out, not quite 6 months, weaned and ready for a new pasture
Lazy Saturday morning
This little girl has been a great 1st time mom, so far this year has been a big change from last year. Fingers crossed my luck holds out with 1 more calf to come.
Waiting on last calf of year, Miss Barbara’s been holding out.
Moe checking out his latest calf
Super cute boy
Another successful calving “Kitty” calved this bull calf unassisted. She is proving to be a great mom she’s my smallest cow, 36” and petite she came from PRV in wI so some old school genetics on board with this girl. Moe has proven to be great bull for heifers.
Day 1 of weaning for this boy is unexciting
Halter breaking is next and then find a new home
Calves gone wild
